    Thank you, thank you, thank you. I bought a mini 4k drone with the intention of filming indoors and this and the follow on video are awesome. Only been flying for a few hours and I can already maneuver around the house. Biggest issue so far as been going though doorways into a tight hallway, seems like the turbulence is a problem. This and the follow on are the best indoor flying videos I've found . Please keep it up.

    I was looking for some tips to fly indoors fro my first warehouse project later on this year. Really helpfull, gonna practice flying smoothly thru the house before the project starts.
    The expo settings are really helpfull to slow things down and smoothen it out! Thumbs up!

    Recent software update automatically turns off obstacle avoidance on my Mini 3 Pro when I put prop guards on. Thanks for the flight control setting info! I’ve been doing a lot of indoor flying in some really tight spaces and even when in cine mode it was still to aggressive when maneuvering corners of doorways etc. Cheers mate!

      I'm pleased it helped buddy. What was the update? I'll have to check it out. Sounds like you know what you're doing but my new release on cinematic moves might be of interest ruclips.net/video/R8ocZvhzL2E/видео.html

      @@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Excellent! Right now I don’t fly for videos, just law enforcement stuff. I had the prop cages you use but they flexed too much and allowed damage to the props whenever I flew into walls, etc. I tend to do that a lot when going through doorways since my attention is focused on looking for threats. Switched to the full coverage DJI cages.
      The last move you did with the stairway was awesome for me as I would usually go to a center point of the 1st floor and elevate then rotate to clear the 2nd level. Leaves the mini in a stationary point for way too long. Much better to do your move clearing sections while maintaining movement. Might be a niche for experienced pilots like you to train law enforcement/SAR pilots.

      @Dik Dark Thats really interesting, I've not thought of that. I'll investigate that (pun intended 😅) and thanks for the feedback it helps.

      In a December 2022 firmware update they addressed support for the propeller guard. Although that hasn't helped you. A couple of days ago a new release has come out which might help but certainly improves the settings I've just given in this video - so I already need to update it. So download Mini 3 Pro aircraft firmware version 01.00.0500 is now out alongside DJI RC remote controller firmware v01.02.0600

    I received my propeller protectors and setup my rc controller as per your instructions so I had a question, will these settings be good for outdoors as well other than turning RTH back on? Thanks

    • @SlipstreamCreativeAgency
      @SlipstreamCreativeAgency  Год назад +1

      Hiya, yes absolutely. I programed the gentler settings into the cine mode so it's good to have that slower gentle movements and you can then just switch to normal mode when you are, eg further away from subject and need to cover ground. Later you can add some tweaks to normal mode to suit your flying.
      I would recommend also watching the later video with the newer firmware update more adjustments become available.

      @@SlipstreamCreativeAgency So far just inside my house. Hard to navigate it through rooms, narrow doorways, up through the foyer, across the second floor without brushing against something along the way. I also find it becomes unstable at times, gyrating wildly while hovering. It might be due to poor lighting but I am not sure. I actually bought those guards you have first but I think they flex and also if the drone crashes upside down they offer no protection. The 360 guards extend higher than the upper body and give the props all-around protection. Price difference was only like $13. Mine is the mini 3 so no obstacle detection but I thought with guards in place the detection is disabled anyway

    Is it possible to fly indoors with 0 sattelites? I decided not to, but I don't know if it's possible

    • @SlipstreamCreativeAgency
      @SlipstreamCreativeAgency  11 месяцев назад

      Yes, it's no problem. It just won't know RTH, but you need to make sure that is turned off anyway just in case you did have a signal and it tries to RTH and assend to 100m, you wont want that indoors. Also GPS signals are week and you are very unlikely to get them indoors. Definitely have prop guards on.

    • @MassholeDrums

      I've flown indoors and even outdoors with 20 satellites and my drone still crashed itself both times
      The outdoor one was between 2 roughly 120 ft tall building, drone was 100 ft up, flew directly left into one of the buildings and fell onto some scaffolding at street level (which I had to climb lol)
      Indoors I was trying to film a fly through at a yoga studio in a strip mall, drone stopped responding, and then flew into a wall. Mini 3 btw
      Also when I sent it to DJI, even though each time my screen said low GPS signal (they didn't disconnect tho), and dji claimed it was compass interference and therefore not the drones fault for flying itself into a wall
