Uh, no. Its a PKD(uberLiberal) story about a band of escaped slaves evading a Goddamned one-man slaughterhouse, hunting the bounty. Here, the slaughterhouse, is presented as the protagonist. He is inarguably the the villain. However, as experienced from from his perspective, he is the hero; making the androids more in touch with their Humanity, than he is.
Its a story of introspection. Take the opportunity to do some.

I always loved the soundtrack and to me Vangelis was a genius. It’s not hard to work out I’ve been around a fair while, maybe age has a lot to do with it as now I love Sci-fi.

I always heard how good this movie was. Last week I got Covid so I had a lot of time.
The movie was boring and nothing happened. Music was good. But even tho I did not really like it, the atmosphere was interesting and the whole movie felt like a dream.
Maybe it was because I am sick, but the two hours movie felt like 45 minutes.
l was also watching Fightclub for the first time. Total masterpiece

    • @mrt445
      @mrt445 2 года назад +3

@@brotausmandeln1428 Saying this film is great is a trend that people who know nothing about films say to "fit in" but just go to the top 10 film reviewers on RUclips and they all say it's overrated because it is. Did you know that this movie flopped when it was released in the 80's then 10 years later some snobby films buffs insisted it was fantastic and groundbreaking for its time and we all just assumed it was before watching it was. You're not the only one.
We all know that a film is the best film we've ever seen 2/3rds into the movie on first viewing. Why do we need to watch a film multiple times in the hope that we'll eventually like it?? That's nonsense. I envy the fact that you watched "Fight Club" for the first time recently, but I did watch it in the cinema when it was first released which was fantastic. I can't remember the feeling of watching a really good film since the 90's ended. Maybe Looper or the departed were the closest....
Other films that we knew were the best ever before the films even ended were:
      Goodfellas
      Casino
      Aliens
      Back to the Future 2
      Terminator 2
      Shawshank Redemption
      Pulp Fiction
Blade Runner is not amongst these films. I had way too many issues with this film.

Blade Runner is a culturally significant film. When it was released, it was far ahead of its time, which paradoxically made it underappreciated. Back then, it was seen as a science fiction film. Today, it embodies the future, past, and present all at once. It mixes the analogue and digital eras. No longer matters which era of our modern civilization it represents-whether it takes place in 1920, 1930, 1940, 1950, or 2050, 60 ... . It's astonishing that there are only two films.

Dodgy voice-over, gives away the whole bloody plot, intercutting, electronic-techno-build-up music, right up to the dramatic climax of the movie... but, of course, the film is far far better than anything today could manage. I just finished to read "Do androids dream of electric sheep?", which this movie is based on. I´ve never seen it, but it seems like it´s totally different from the book, which is a masterpiece. Everything in the movie appears so "american" with fights and vicious characters, while in the book everything appears "normal", how real life is supposed to be. The real "fight" is the one inside the mind of the people. I hope the movie can pass that too.
