I'm a big magic user in Tales so I fell in love with it from watching it years ago and then bought an Xbox lol. And now finally years later, literally 10, we got the definitive version and of course chronicles for the ps3! Now if we can just get some remakes of older games.

Resurrection the angel comes down and Regenerate the angel comes down while swooping around. They’re all beautiful. I haven’t played beseria yet and Zestiris I half finished.

I know it would have been a bit of a stretch considering they had no intention to do so, but Namco Tales Studio should have made this a four-on-four match by adding the completed Rutee model left in the game's original files and letting you bring a full team. It would have made for a chaotic battle, just like Abyss's crazy match (love that you used that game's exhibition match music by the way, nice choice!). Plus it would balance the cameo side, two from Destiny and two from Eternia (and it would make Woodrow a real ladies man to have three women around him XD). The only real problem would have likely stemmed from getting someone to voice Rutee in English (not for Japanese since they can just use Yuka Imai's recorded lines from previous games easily like they've done before with other cameos), but seeing as there are few actual lines for the cameo characters, I doubt that would have been a big problem.

There really is no comparison to Abyss's cameo battle. Especially when shit got real after Reid using Auroura Wall, regardless this fight is epic! Meredy demonstrating why Eternia mages are OP as hell with her high level black and white magic spells >_>. Excellent work, Omega! You show why 2 swords = 200% the power (and 200% the combos!). #WhensHDAbyss
I remember killing both farah and Garr first and left Meredy to waste her TP. and all she does is this dramatic point as if she was commanding her pet to attack you. I've always wondered why there was a blue squrriel in the arena XD cept it didn't do anything..wonder if they fixed that in the HD version?
Cameo fights always something to look forward to. But I hope they keep the new mechanic like in Tales of Vesperia how you can fight your whole party and Tales of Xillia fight them one on one or two on one.
Meredy will go for any spell caster. It’s in her ai. I’ve tested it. If you play as genis and set the other party members strategy to disperse and get farah and Garr you can have a magic duel genis vs meredy guaranteed. Lots of fun
Loreto Bustos interesting. Also do you know if Quickie does anything in this battle besides just hopping around? I remember fighting them and when Meredy ran out of TP, she was just swinging and pointing her finger at me as if trying to command quickie but he doesn’t do anything
piss boy I think maybe they had something planned for him but scrapped it halfway. The only thing I recall is he shined white with some feathers and farah or garr was revived. In tales of eternia meredy uses a whistle and he does a little tackle
@@loretobustos1302 that's not just a "small tackle" once you get a hang of it back in Eternia. You could charge spells AND attacking while controlling quickie. It's good enough to cancel small pawn casters and could extend other character's combo

I love that it's a likely reference to Eternia's Craymel Cage system, where you can give her or Keele whatever magic you want (though I'm sure her list here is likely impossible to do in Eternia).

There is no Ability Plus 2 in this game. You're probably thinking of another game. Also the tech system in this is level 1, level 2, and level 3, not base and arcane.
Ex gems; some of the ex skills contained in them are either "strike" or "technical". Give Lloyd a technical based ex skill, and after a fey battles, he'll be on the tactical side.
shadowboltsonic Stacking three resistance gears of the same element resist will null that element. Say Lloyd has on Mumbane, Amethyst, and Persian Boots.(all grant resistance to Darkness) He won't take damage from Dark attacks, nor will he stagger as if he were being hit.
It's triple Beast, from Farah. It's one of her ultimate attacks from Tales of Eternia. Of course, it's a lot smaller in this game. I can safely say that both her and Garr are much more dangerous in their own games. Of course, that's true for the vast majority of Tales Cameo battles.
Farah and Meredy are party characters from Tales of Eternia. The only oddball is Garr, who is from Tales of Destiny. Both games were released between Phantasia and Symphonia.

Whoever voiced acted Merdey in this game needs to come back and always be her voice acter the best is when she cast "Absolute".

I found this to be the hardest fight in the game, even more than Abyssion. At least they let you use items unlike the other coliseum matches.

Yeah Time Stop is "new" as of PS2 (over 10 years ago now). Meredy, Yggdrasil 3, Mithos, and Abyssion are the only bosses that can use it.
