I really dont understand why they cant socket these gpu chips. I wish laptops all used the upgradeable replacement card gpus instead of the garbage intigraded graohics. Would be awsome to turn some junk hp laptop into a powerful gaming laptop.
Its cause they are greedy: if they did do it it would be like frameworks igpu which are controversial because it would be very expensive for the gpu ur paying for

It is Possible, there were certain Laptops with Replaceable Graphics unit, and some laptops even use straight out a Desktop Cpu Socket we see in big boys. But the question is they're not Greedy or stuff, if you were to put all parts in Replaceable that would add up alot of thickness and that also adds a question to Thermal dispersion + Power consumption thus Ultimately laptops would turn Big asf and Power hungry more than your fking neighbour. And to mention the fact that such laptops would cost more than a Convenient Desktop + it wouldn't make sens to run that big of a machine to be run on battery.

The older laptop is upgradeable replacement card aka the mxm and the socket cpu but in new modern laptop they are not upgradable
