I know in my state NC and some others have a restriction that prevents those white strobes or white led lights on the rear of the vehicle while said vehicle is in forward motion. It was initially used for people driving around with busted taillights because, a long time ago, all the taillight bulbs were whiteish when illuminated. So if your taillight housing was busted, white light would shine, and you could get a ticket. Emergency vehicles are exempt from most of these lighting laws. In NC, the only vehicles that can use Blue are law enforcement while fire and ems use red. I do think blue/red combination emergency lights look amazing, and I wish all emergency vehicles in NC could use any combination of blue and red. But sadly, it would take a change to our general statues, especially in chapter 20 (our motor vehicle section), to make that happen.

I wonder if it's legal for my directional lights on the back of my van because I have around red brake and blinker combination light but around the perimeter of the tail light lens it's Amber for the directional while red for the brake light.😅😅😅

Amber lights aren't enough anymore. Tow and work trucks need red too because the stupid motoring public refuse to move over for them

Using hazard lights while driving during inclement weather is dangerous. It makes a moving vehicle in low visibility look like a stopped vehicle, which means stopped vehicles look like moving vehicles. Allowing this is the definition of stupidity.
