I’ve made this twice. Once with pork and once with bottom round. After reading comments, i browned meat first, Used 2 cups of water and 3/4 pack of onion mix. Turned out great both times.
Alright so thanks for those tips because I think that I'm gonna attempt this tomorrow, I bought the tenderloin and when I got home I was like "What was I thinking buying this" but seeing this helped , worst case scenario, I have a big dog
@@sirloinofbeef120 lol. You’ll enjoy it. On last thing I did! I cooked on high for an hour and then low for several more.
Shut your mouth, I almost used onion mix myself today, I should of...🤦🏻♀️and I knew about searing but skipped it!! I hope it turns out okay...
I made this today. I used minced garlic instead of the garlic cloves. After it was done, I made a brown sugar and almond glaze.( heavy cream, dark brown sugar and hazel nut almond coffee cream)Place it in the oven for 3 minutes as on a high broil and the flavors came together beautifully
Got it cooking now...can't wait to try it.....im an old guy trying out new recipes here on RUclips been have some great meals.
I made this tonight, just substituted beef broth for wine, also added a bit of sage and some onion and extra garlic and I’m here to say THIS WAS FANTASTIC!! (Like sneaking into kitchen at 3 a.m to eat it fantastic 😮😂❤
Nice video. I always recommend low and slow. The slower it cooks, the more tender it will be.
I just made this and it turned out 😋 delicious. I did sear the meat but followed the rest of the recipe. It took 2 hrs. to cook. 👏👏👍
Thank you for posting this! I know you wrote it a while ago. Anytime i cook tenderloin even for 3 hours on slow, it's ALWAYS overcooked, even without searing first. I have the original Crock Pot for reference.
One of our favourites!! I've made it plenty of times, having it for dinner tonight.
What is a good red wine?
@Bud Crawford Fan you wish that she is your wife!
@Bud Crawford Fan your the stalker so shut up
I would use a basic Red Table Wine if I didn’t use Vermouth
Yes, you can absolutely use chicken or beef stock instead of the wine in this recipe. Let us know how it comes out for you. Happy cooking!
I used a red wine, but mine didn’t taste right, it tasted like soap,,,, is there any reason why it might have tasted like that?
Thank you about the chicken or beef stock. I dont do wine so was wondering if I could substitute
I prepared this yesterday for my family, it turned out delicious! I also added Worcestershire sauce, tomatoes sauce, chicken broth, a tablespoon of sugar, and I used garlic powder because I had no fresh garlic on hand. Thank you for this wonderful, and easy recipe! SN: My pork tenderloins were frozen, and cooked on high for the same amount of time.
You didnt cook the recipe, you literally changed everything about it
This recipe is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Wine 🍷 for the win
That's correct, you would want to cook the pork on low for 4 hours. Since your slow cooker only has a high setting, try cooking it on high for 2 hours and then check the doneness. Good luck!
What iternal temperature is the pork when it's done?
@@Cooperelaa01 145 deg.
omg I want to Thank you so much I did it and my family Love it Thank You it was fast and easy I cook my for 2 hours in high heat again Thanks
I cook mine in a can of peach slices with peach juice. I also add jalapeno and sometimes put bacon on the lion then broil it quickly after it's cooked in tin foil.
?????
Looks like a perfect meal to me! I love all the garlic.
Looks super good. I only have one (500g) Tenderloin. I am thinking to combine with some pork neck cubes? What do You think about that?
I'm cooking this now, i used low sodium beef broth instead of wine, low sodium soy sauce, a dash of apple cider vinegar. Now to wait for the results. will check in 2 hours.
if you sear your meats before putting in the crock pot it will come out a lot juicier, trust
Oh yea 👍
How long sear
@@SuperElott sear is to brown on all sides or just top and bottom my friend!!heat ur pan on high add oil let it come to heat then but the meat in about 1-2 mins each side hope it helps you out !!
I've tried both ways and there's no difference
I sear in a pan and then make a quick broth with the fond and water/broth. Use that in slow cooker
The guitar in the song slaps so hard. Can you please post the tabs? I want to try and do a metal cover of it? Thank you! PS I love your channel and so does my grandma!
Im new to cooking with wihe .
Need recommendations for a good red to use in this?
Привет из Белоруссии г Брест вы талантливый мастер
Дзякуй! добрага дня.
Exactly
Been making it this way for years minus the apple juice.. think I'll try that
What kind of wine would this work with? I’ve got Malbec & Merlot.
What's the best red wine to use ive never cooked with wine before
A cheap red table wine will work fine, some people like using more bitter red wine, some people like using fruitier red wine. Try both and see what you like best, I like using a robust red wine. Very savory flavors
Just use an instant thermometer everybody! If you don’t have one you should really get one for just under $15 it’ll change everything. Perfectly cooked meals every night
What iternal temperature is the pork when it's done
Thank you for your quesiton. It's best not to cook the pork tenderloin for 8 hours. You would be running a risk of overcooking and drying out the pork. Happy cooking!
What about using drpreepp instead of wine
Can I use red wine vinegar?
I also add cut red potatoes in the pot too.
I like this recipe, but I would brown the tenderloin first in some bacon lard, or canola oil before put it in the slow cooker.
i've heard this version also - to sear it before slow cooking. I think I will follow the advice.
Don't use that poison canola oil please. Use extra virgin olive oil for a much healthier choice and tastier.
What can be used instead of red wine
You can use beef broth if you dont want to use red wine
Jizz
Looks yummy!!
Can you substitute something for the red wine? I dont do wine
Yes! Red or white wine vinegar, pomegranate juice, grape juice are all great options!
What do you use if you don't have onion mix?
Onions 👍🤣
I'm 11 yrs too late! i have some frozen pork chunks. im going to do this for thanksgiving. it's just me this year.
If I have one 2lb tenderloin would that change the cook time? Thank you!
This recipe is for one (2-pound) pork tenderloin, TheLarkeen. Here's a link to the original recipe so you may review the directions: allrecipes.com/recipe/75861/amazing-pork-tenderloin-in-the-slow-cooker/
What to do if we don’t like wine? I really want to try this.
There are a lot of substitutions for wine that could work, such as red and white wine vinegar, cranberry juice, red or white grape juice, chicken or veggie stock. Dealer's choice! Happy cooking! 😊
Is 4 hours on low enough?
That looks dry AF
Should be 2 cups of water.
Whats "Dried, onion soupmix"?
can it be cooked on low for 8 hours?
could i use cooking wine instead of red wine and skip the soy sause
Using cooking wine is fine, master ryley, but if you leave out the soy sauce, you're going to miss a lot of flavor. If you don't have it, here's a recipe so you can make your own with basic ingredients you probably have in your pantry: allrecipes.com/recipe/92873/soy-sauce-substitute/
Video states low for 4 hours. Is that right? Or should I cook high for 4 hours? (I only have high as a option for that length of time on my crock pot) Very new at this slow cooking thing. I don't want food poisoning:-(
looks so yummy! have to try it asap :)
Making it for 2014 New Years day :)
How was it
I have a big family! I need to cook two 5lb tenderloins. Could I still do it this way? What would be the cook time!
Thanks for your question, Monique Nieto. Unless you have a huge slow cooker (or two smaller ones able to hold 5 pounds of meat), cooking two 5-pound tenderloins in a slow cooker isn't going to work. if you have one that is that large, you'll want to multiple all the recipe ingredients by 5 (except the pork tenderloin). Here's a link to the original recipe if you wish to review the ingredients and directions: allrecipes.com/recipe/75861/amazing-pork-tenderloin-in-the-slow-cooker/
Allrecipes thank you so much!
I recommend trying a 5 lb pork roast instead of the tenderloin, and use double and a half of the other ingredients. If you haven't got a slow cooker or roaster big enough, do it in the oven low and slow. I have done this myself with a 3 lb roast, because I had it on hand.
Okay people quit trying to substitute ingredients!
That's all I do I'm bout to put my on now and switch up the whole ingredients that she put on her.
Red wine vinegar or chicken broth work as a substitute for Red wine ?
I don't understand something.......some recipes for this call for 4 hrs on low, some call for 8-10 hrs on low?? That is quite a difference. Can anyone explain this to me, which is correct......
It turned out OK generally but I didn't care for the taste. I think it was the combination of the soup mix and other stuff plus a bit too much garlic.
Dry onion soup, garlic
No salt
Have you seen the sodium content in a pack of onion soup? You don’t need to add any.
Who cut meat with a bread knife
I'm surprised that you didn't seal the pork loin first, just sayin'
Searing causes things to lose moisture and more about building texture.
No pan sear first? That hurts.
What could I use in place of the onion soup mix?
Good news, Mr. Christopher! You can make a homemade version of onion soup mix with a few ingredients. It's easy! Here's a recipe with all the details: allrecipes.com/recipe/217155/dry-onion-soup-mix/
Mr. Christopher if I put 6 pork Loin how long will it take at low temperatures
Onions 😂
What is a good red wine to use?
Will this recipe turn out great without red wine ?
I hate alcohol.
Red wine is usually sweet. Maybe add some sugar instead
Andrew Tattooske I used chicken stock
I'm going to try some Mexican Sangria soda
Not bad.... but not great either really. I think I'd marinate the pork on my next try at least for a few hours if not overnight before cooking, also next time I plan on thickening the sauce to more like a gravey. But it does come out very tender, tasty and is simple to make.... well worth the try
not seasoning the pork?
Plenty of seasonings for the pork, steven vogel. The recipe calls for onion soup mix, red wine, minced garlic, soy sauce, and ground black pepper. Here's a link to the original recipe so you may check out the ingredients: allrecipes.com/recipe/75861/amazing-pork-tenderloin-in-the-slow-cooker/
The recipe ask for red wine - can you substitute this with a stock? A member of the family is allergic to wine.
There was no fat added.
it looks so dry
It isn't dry believe me. Came out awesome.
I did everything as I seen on the video and my family didn't like it at all. Idk but is was nasty to us but I washed it off and put barque sauce on it and put it in the oven turned out good.
Might have been the red wine you used. Did you use a sweet or dry? It needs to be sweet.
why do u use so many packet mixes,..... they have a high salt content and its just lazy!
At least they didn't use jarred garlic! :-)
Do tell us your way.
That looks dry as hell looks super stringy to
I made it was not dry at all. Delicious
nobody pinches ground pepper .... we all normally just use our off the fucking shelf perrer Fucking Grinder , and start grinding over the pot ... just saying
Looks way way too dry!
Wtf is this
Three tablespoons of garlic? I made this recipe and believe you me, one, ONE clove is plenty
Maybe for you but not for everyone else.
You must be a vampire.

Dry soup mix and soy sauce equals sodium overload! No thanks
