You know how to recognize a great video? From the fact that it’s exactly the kind of video you watch while eating a meal. You’re doing great work man! (Yes, I know it’s not even public yet, I’m talking generally)
Something to watch for is the Necron Lord was constantly harassed by the Death Cult Assassin during fights who will kill a model outright if it falls below 1/3hp, for the Lord thats still a considerable amount of HP. A great tool you don't see often used
It's either 40% or 1/2 hp for insta kill, don't know exactly. And yeah, assassins are pretty good in general, but especially useful in this match-up against Necron Lord.
Angelic Visage is a free ability that doesn't need faith to activate. If they did go for faith, the confessor would've been a massive threat. For the necrons, just tomb spiders. The revive is very useful. Both played well but necrons definitely made more mistakes. Also, I was hoping for the resurrection orb too as it's super fun in any game mode. Also no deceiver. That would've helped.
Tbh, I saw the revive against me maybe 2-3 times total. One of them all revived units were just instantly killed again. The thing is, if you buy such an exotic stuff, you don't get smth more usefull for your lord and it will die way too fast. I think here Necron player just got standard set of artifacts. I agree though that not all abilities of both races were fully used in this game. My plan was to go for mass-celesta into exorcists. Opp's plan was to tech to monolith and pariahs.
Wow, amazing Sisters game ! Was tense, tbh i'd think Sis were the losers when i saw fully restored Monolith, and even more with the second one. Congratulations, i'd like to see many more Sis games like this !
That was a great match. I wondered at the beginning why use flayed ones, but realise they may be more of a disruption tactic to bide time until the monolith awakens? But then I thought they'd be perfect to use against the infantry squads blasting away, rather than warriors, whilst the monolith is trundling across the map? I am, however, a complete amateur at DoW! And wouldn't last 5 mins against these players. So I wouldn't even reach that point in a game. Great battle report again mr.landshark, I find watching them much better than anything on Netflix or telly!
That's the general use of Flayed Ones, they're a disruption troop with an extremely high morale damaging effect. They're also decent for attacking structures while your ranged Necrons hit the reinforcements, since they can get kited easily.
can u recommend good online mode with good balance to play vs friends? I kinda feel (on my noob level ofc) that some factions are much stronger than other factions. Are there any well balanced pvp mods out there?
@@elise_ua6849 ahah, rly? Who couldve thought.. Also i recently ragedeleted the game after playing with friends. I use sisters cuz nobody wants to play them and its fine while its early or mid game and economics are in dynamic - inferno pistols and celestians and all but when we get into the stage where we have all the money in the world and no pressure and then fight 20 lim vs 20 lim - i feel like there are no chances for sisters.. too many things to press, to fragile units, TOO MUCH FUCKING BODYBLOCKING PATHFINDING. I tried tons of compositions - 20 btrs or full celestians or full sisters or a bit of everything or aircraft or girls with 2h swords and so on and so on - and all of them were killed by chaos and tau who didn't even micro, there were just 5 spiders, 2 tanks and chaos marines and nothing my fucking sisters could do no matter how good i pressed buttons
@@Kreasddjb SoB does not shine in lategame regretfully, you are right :( In 1:1 you'd better get huge advantage on t1-t2 or win the game right there. Good units to build are seraphims (t1), celestians (from t2 to the end of the game, really), exorcists (t3) and penitent engines if you reach t4. Don't forget infantry upgrades for celestians.
@@elise_ua6849 Yeah, got that already after watching your games, but on a level where you just play with friends and don't sweat your ass off it usually gets past past t4 with 999999 reasources and its insta loose no matter what
its pretty much inly viable SoB strat in vanila. You can try SoB squads with nades and flamers but its much less pressure on enemy. ANd celestians is pretty much best unit due to terminator armor and all around effectiveness against everything
Whatever you play on SoB you build sanctuary. Its either play safe with seraphims (since its just unkillable unit in early game that enemy cant ignore) Either its SoB with flamers and nades Only other thing you can do is to ignore either and rush T2 celestians sincethis is OP unit due to terminators armor that they have for some reason (as example they regen faster than full squad of guardians trying to damage them). Its lame that in vanila SoB is such onedimensional faction
Sera are very good for harass, but they are pretty expensive and pretty weak in direct combat tbh. Also, they are not very useful vs some races/builds. And I don't know why everyone thinks celestians are so OP. C'mon, SoB should have at least some good units, like every other race has, right? Also, no matter how OP you think they are, celesta lose badly fights to upgraded TSM, CSM and even guards - all are basic units you start making on t1 and keep the whole game.
@@elise_ua6849 Sera can capture whole map while being strong enough to fight back or deny enemy capture, and its only unit that does it this early, and they force reaction - no melee units and no walking away from workers. Celestians are too strong because of timings, when they apear enemy usualy dont have anything to fight terminator armor. Sadly lategamewise all SoB units fall behind as they missing another health upgrade.
@@iMost067 I agree, sera are good. But they don't stop t1.5 Necron push for example if opponent decided to just send first 2 packs NW on 0 economy to your base. You will most probably lose, because instead of sera you'd better have some fighting units for the same money. Or god save you from making double sera against cultists with grenades - those are ridiculously cost-effective against t1 infantry and your tech is miles away because of sera. Some other races also have very good anti-harass builds. To my experience, sera harass is a good tactic, no doubt, but competent opponent will eventually deal with it. The same holds for celesta. Playing fast t2 without armory, the celesta are just not as strong initially, and again competent players deal with them. Often, even with just t1 units. And yeah, lategamewise SoB are sad :(

The sole purpose of the death cult assassin is to counter commander units duh, especially ones that can't detect infiltrated units.

sisters, they said gg and the full attack was on the necrons. there is no way the necron could survived that
gg wp bought players, nice back and forward. a bit floating and dessision making not the best, but good controlls and ability use 👍
Considering this is probably the worst MU possible for Necrons, Yoga did really well.
