@@PatrickTVGh pls your contact 🙏
Please I seriously need your contact, please I have so many questions for please.
What about (PIP ) Personal Investment Plus, how secure is that type of investment?
The 5% levy on international transfer are disappointing.
Let say I remortgaged my property for £ 100,000.00 with the idea of starting a business in Ghana.
My working capital is already less by £5000.00, which means I have to find another £5000.00 before I can start the business.
Why can't the banks in conjunction with the government just take £10 to 50 from the total transfer ?
What are the interest rates on both investments?
Thanks ones again pls with these two investments when the time is due for you to go claim your money or interest won't there be any taxes they are going to deduct from your money.Maybe after it matures like a tax rate of 1 or 2 will be taken and the remaining balance given to you?
No tax on treasury bills or fixed deposit unless you book the investment on your business account
I will be waiting for the calculation part very important
Yes i have the calculations. Check out my videos for it
@@PatrickTVGh
Can an individual buy treasury bills? If yes where?.
Great job Sir. But please as at today things have changed. I have been informed that the Government is not paying interest on T Bills at the moment. If so, what would the advice be?
No. They are paying. Government bonds rather are going through problems
Great channel and educative. I purchased treasury bill from GCB and it is 182 days. I was expecting the interest to be credited to my account upfront but it was not. When I went to the bank to ask I was told it will be credited to my account when it matures which is strange and I should have stated on form to demand interest upfront and there was no question on form about that..
They are right. Perharps they did not explain it well to you
@@PatrickTVGh OK that's fine.. Thanks for the info. Great channel..
@@PatrickTVGhSo please if you state you want it upfront, you will get it right?
How much is the interest rate now ?
What does it mean by haircut in treasury bill in Nana Addo Economy update please
The most disappointing process at Indo Zambia bank is account opening. It's very slow and nobody seems to care.
A week after submitting all the documents I still can't get the account details because someone didn't do that or they are simply not in the office at the time ( so no one else can do it)
Sorry to hear that. Are you in Zambia?
Kudos Patrick! However, these times have taught us that treasury bills guaranteed by the government are not as risk-free as we're told.
Fixed deposits with a renowned international bank are probably safer for anyone looking for short-term gains.
They are still risk free. You are not going to lose your principal
@@PatrickTVGh what About the interest? Is that safe?
T bills aren’t affected.
What about rural bank
Please with 1 year tbill can I get my interest upfront
Hello, great video. Is it still worth it to do tbill a with the cedi loosing so much value now?
Yes please. You are protecting the full depreciation of your money.
My question is with these downgrades from these rating agencies and our high inflation, will there ever be a time a government can default payment? What is the worst case scenario that will let a government especially Ghana default on Tbills debt payment?
History gives confidence that government will continue to meet local debts in the form of bonds and bills
can this question be answered today?
Please is what is the difference between fixed deposit and gnote?
Thanks for the educative videos
What institution offers this gnote?
@@PatrickTVGh I hear ecobank has gnote. But I've seen a customer walk in and ask for a fixed deposit. That's why I'm confused and curious about the differences between the two 🤔
Eeii I thought the rate increases depending oo the duration. Please confirm this for me
Mr Patrick pls what is the difference between discount rate and interest rate in treasury bill?
Discount rate means you receive your interest when you start the investment. Interest rate is the reverse of that
Please If I may ask what do the banks use the money for when you invest in treasure bill or fixed deposit?
Fixed deposit for loans. Tbills for the government
Hello Patrick
Please is it advisable to go in for any of these two investment looking at how difficult the economy is now?
This is the best time to invest in the high paying safe vehicles
Please which is the best insurance company can you recommend for me???
What do you seek to achieve with the insurance?
Do other banks offer services up to the end cds and also deposits
Yes
How is the interest on treasury bill for one year paid? At the beginning of the purchase or after the end of the one year?
Kindly inbox me on 0243984492
Why is it that, the interest of t-bill is given upfront and not at the end of maturity?.can I also buy another t-bill with the interest
Yes you can buy
Can I roll over 91 days treasury bills for as long as I want and will the discount % still stay the same once it keeps rolling and rolling over
Yes you can
Please can I get your contact for an interview
Please how do you negotiate on the fix deposit. also I remember I was saving at a bank and ask about their fix deposit negotiating they told I can use 2000Ghana cedis to open so please I'm a little bit confused when you said 100cedis. Please educate me. Thank you
You approach the bank for an above board rate if you have an amount beyond what they have on their rates board
Please Patrick the personal pension funds what if the company collapses will you advise someone to personal pension funds
The company can not just collapse. They invest in safer instruments like GoG bills and bonds
@@PatrickTVGh so in that case why don't we invest in GOG bills and bonds directly?
Hello Patrick, With these type of investments, we always look at the returns/the interest rate. Please can you discuss how inflation affects or eat away our money over time. Secondly with the fixed deposits, some financial institutions take certain charges on your investments. How does those charges also affect your investment. Thanks
They cater for inflation by reducing the impact. I'm yet to see a financial institutions that charges for investment. The charges only set in when you stop the investment before its maturity
@@PatrickTVGh some financial institutions take some kind of Management fees on investment products
Please what is the current rates for TB ?
Depends on the duration but around 28-31%
Please can I get your contact.
Does it mean you get the interest every month or let's say after the 3 months and you get the interest?
The interest for Fixed deposits are paid at the end of the period. Tbills pay the interest once you book the investment
Thanks very much
Please what happens to your money after you stop a treasury bill after two months of investing. Assuming you invested 25,000 for 6 months but after two month you decide to stop..
Your principal will still be intact. But your interest will be lowered a bit depends on when u stop the t bill run.
You will lose out on the interest but receive back your principal
My question is that, do they pay you the interest as soon as the period ends?
Yes please.
@@PatrickTVGh thanks sir
Please, assuming I buy a treasury bill of ¢5,000 and I choose rollover with interest for a year. And 91 days interest rate is 15%, does it mean at the end of the year I’m getting about 60%+ ? Kindly answer this for me because I’ve been thinking about it since January. Thank you 🙏
No please. The rate is divided by the duration you want to do the investment only. So its 15% divided by 4 if ur doing 3 months
Patrick if I buy 91days treasury bills today at 15% per annum and a week later the inflation rate rises to abt 20% or depreciates to abt 10% ; would it decrease my initial 15% to the new rate of 10%?
@@PatrickTVGh eiii 😂 wow
Thank you boss. I’m not sure I will continue after this year God willing
I think it is best if you do the Tbill every 3 months. What do u pls Mr.Patrick
My second question is that you said the treasure bill whether you invest huge or small the interest rate is the same ? So if I invest 1000gh and someone invest 10000gh does it mean if I am getting 300gh profit the one investing 10000gh is also getting 300gh at the end of let's say three months or is 300gh for us every month?
I said the rate is the same not the real amount. The real amount is based on how much you invest
Let me help you here. Rate is the percentage you get on ur principal. The bigger ur amount the bigger your interest
@@jackiebills227 ooohk I get it now clear thanks dear.
Bro the interest is base on percentage. Example if is 15% . It means the higher your amount, the higher your interest.
@@borngreat1tv 🤦🏾♀️🤔😂
why is the interest of t-bill given upfront?
To enjoy the benefit now. Upfront benefit means that you do not get the full interest rate
@@PatrickTVGh So assuming I buy a treasury bill of 100000 at a rate of 32% and I demand for interest upfront, how much can i possibly get?
How much money do I need to open a fixed deposit pls
Its bank specific. Ranging from 100ghs
@@PatrickTVGh okay. Thank you. So I just walk into any bank and tell them I want to open a fixed deposit account?
Pls what is treasure bill rate today
27% per annum
@@PatrickTVGh thanks sir
Hi, please I need your number
Boss, it’s actually competitive bidding for treasury bills. Why r u giving out the wrong info. You can bid thru a PD with your own rate. Bruh…. Misinformation
No individual bids with their own rate please. Primary dealers buy in bulk for customers and not on the accord of an individual investor. So where is the misinformation here? Come back with a better rebuttal
@@PatrickTVGh did u read what I wrote? U can bid with ur own rate thru a PD. I used to be a fund manager, this is 2nd nature to me. PDs go with their own rates .... what r u on about, bruh? PD banks are just making a killing with haircuts when alloting to clients.
Thank you. I think for learning purposes, this must be made as healthy as possible.
Nobody knows everything.
