No, this is not the open circuit voltage. This is not an open circuit. There is a load connected to the TEG. I don't know how to measure short circuit current, and I do not know why something like this is important in measuring performance.

Also in some research papers I have seen the graphs between open circuit voltage and short circuit current. Now I understood how to measure the voltage ....but how to measure the current in simulation??
Yes, that's right. If there is no load, this is the open circuit voltage. You can measure current similar to measuring voltage. It is one of the output parameters.

At the end of the video, I am calculating the temperature and voltage distribution. You can find also the heat flux as one of the available parameters. You can use it to calculate the cooling rate at the cold surface of the TEG. You can choose the hot and cold surfaces according to the solders' materials.

@@H4Isoftwareservices I see. I tried to add an external resistance to my model but I didn't found the option that give power output as result. How should I measure power output from my model?
@@yintan403 Knowing the resistance l, you can calculate power from eq. V^2/R. Or you can find something called Joule heat, which will give you the same value. That's because power generated is consumed in theform of heat in the resistance.
