    Dear Sir, How can I define material for surf152 element which is generated automatically by assigning convection in the simulation of thermoelectric generator? May I define it through APDL or directly in Ansys.

    If I would like to simulate two TEG connected in series, ground voltage should be assign to the end of each TEG or only one TEG?

      This was created in Siemens NX. I did not record the creation process.
      I will try in the future to repeat the steps again.

    Assalamualaikum sir. I created a design of TEG same like you and exhaust muffler. Can i use you method in the second video (for the block created) to run my analysis? The different is only my exhaust and the block you created.

    عاشت ايدك استاذ . اذا عندي فولتيه عالية وامبيريه وحبيت اسلطهه على معدن هل ستتولد حراره ؟ كما في لحام النقطة؟ هل ينفع استخدم thermal-electrical لعمل المحاكاة ؟

      Check the published papers for authors "H Khalil" and "H Hassan" or the PhD thesis sold on Amazon by the name "HEAT RECOVERY ENHANCEMENT USING THERMOELECTRIC GENERATORS"

    Hi sir, I have a doubt sir, the voltage you are showing at the end of the video (-1706.3 mV) is that the open circuit voltage ? also how to measure the short circuit current?

      No, this is not the open circuit voltage. This is not an open circuit. There is a load connected to the TEG.
      I don't know how to measure short circuit current, and I do not know why something like this is important in measuring performance.

      @@H4Isoftwareservices thanks for the reply sir. So if I draw my TEG without the load and measure then it's the open circuit voltage right. Also in some research papers I have seen the graphs between open circuit voltage and short circuit current. Now I understood how to measure the voltage ....but how to measure the current in simulation??

      Yes, that's right. If there is no load, this is the open circuit voltage.
      You can measure current similar to measuring voltage. It is one of the output parameters.

    I have a question, I used ANSYS FLUENT, to calculate the temperature distribution at the two TEG sides ,, Now I want to import the FLUENT results to the THERMAL-ELECTRIC and calculate the power that will be harvested from the thermoelectric generator ,,, How I can do this
    I ask for how to link FLUENT with THERMAL-ELECTRIC,,,,
    And how to calculate the power generated ?

    Hello sir. I am a student and I am trying Steady-state thermal analysis for a TEG.
    What should I do to calculate the cooling power and hot connection heat dissipation in ANSYS program? Which surfaces are chosen for them or else?

      At the end of the video, I am calculating the temperature and voltage distribution. You can find also the heat flux as one of the available parameters. You can use it to calculate the cooling rate at the cold surface of the TEG.
      You can choose the hot and cold surfaces according to the solders' materials.

    I changed the version And repeated the same process and the problem still showing up.
    what should I do ?

      If you do so, you will be able to measure only the open circuit voltage. You won't be able to measure the output power.

      @@H4Isoftwareservices I see. I tried to add an external resistance to my model but I didn't found the option that give power output as result. How should I measure power output from my model?

      @@yintan403 Knowing the resistance l, you can calculate power from eq. V^2/R. Or you can find something called Joule heat, which will give you the same value.
      That's because power generated is consumed in theform of heat in the resistance.
