    Great tutorial Professor, Very helpful. I am working on a similar project that requires me to calculate the effective thermal conductivity of an RVE model with spherical inclusions using periodic homogenization. RVE material is epoxy, length size is 10 mm and inclusion is alumina with a diameter of 1.98 micrometers. Please, can you help with a video tutorial for this? Thanks

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  5 лет назад

      Welcome ! You need to model actual RVE in FEA based on material configurations and perform the thermal analysis to find out the temperature profile across the RVE model.

      You should refer ANSYS composite modeling tutorial. Its modeling of different layer and defining Poisson ration & young s modulus in orthographic directions. We will upload video on composite modeling.

    there are two bodies of different materials in contact with each other. One body is heated to a temperature of 200 degrees, and the other 20 degrees. How to make a thermal analysis in ANSYS to look at the temperature distribution and temperature stresses caused by heating a body with a temperature of 20, if a body with a temperature of 200 degrees cools down from contact with a body with a temperature of 20, as well as from contact with the environment?

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  4 года назад

      You can model both bodies and apply the respective temperature and define the contact between those bodies. Perform the transient analysis with respect to cool down time. After certain amount of time, let say at steady state condition, it will show the respective temperature distribution as you are expecting.

    can you help me to find the thermal stress in a body due to temperature change whose both sides are fixed? I am getting the correct solution for 1D model but not for 2D and 3D model?

    • @graspengineering9249

      You should get correct results for 2D & 3D too. Try to apply proper BC and material details. Let us know if you still have issues.

    Good afternoon. I would like to estimate the heat flow [W / m ^ 2] versus time [s], entering the available experimental temperatures [ºC], for two temperature sensors, in a notepad file (.txt). I already do this in COMSOL Multiphysics and use the levenberg-marquardt algorithm. Can anybody help me? I intend to use ANSYS CFX and modeFRONTIER. I have the heat flow [W / m ^ 2] versus the time [s] measured experimentally. I appreciate the attention.
