This is exactly the bike I was looking for, moving from my Supersport bikes to a new muscle cruiser. This thing is beyond awesome and I'm grabbing one.
I have several bikes but my Diavel, being delivered on Tuesday, will probably be my mechanical soulmate. It's replacing an FZ1 that is the perfect bike, sans the riding position for me. I turn 70 in a few months and an old back sports injury is killing me in its riding position. I believe I may be becoming a Ducati guy.
Thanks Jaret for this honest hands-on review of this crazy bike. Something draws me to this bike but never knew what I would do with it. Something to consider...
For sure, glad you enjoyed it! Honestly I think anyone who owned this bike would absolutely love it. Still one of the most fun bikes I've ridden period.
Hi Jaret, thanks for the video. Quick question, I am considering buying this Xdiavel but I am six foot one... Is this OK or will it feel uncomfortable. Thanks!
Jaret, Great review bro. I appreciate the straight talk. Tell me something though did you find the rear suspension to be a bit rough? I am hearing that this bike at its factory suspension settings is meant for smooth surfaces and does not preform well with slight bumps. Thoughts?
Great review Jaret! Every review video of the Xdiavel brings out the absolute silliness in all of you guys. Yours was the best I've seen thus far. You made me laugh. Nice job Kid! I wish I could attach a photo of my Xdiavel. You're right the matte black is way nicer on the eyes and you should see it with the Roland Sands blingy bits. Real sharp.
haha thanks man, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! You're a lucky man, that is a fantastic bike. If I had the money, I'd have one sitting in my garage for sure. And I can only imagine how sick it looks with the Roland Sands accessories. You should do a walk around vid and toss it on youtube :)
I might just do that Jaret. Don't stress too much about the money issue. You're still young. Not many middle class dudes have $25 to $30K in their hand for a motorcycle especially at your age. I did last year at 53 years old and I purchased a 2016 Multistrada 1200S ($30K Canadian out the door). The XDiavel...4 years of monthly payments with low interest. It's worth it to enjoy riding now! Did you review the Yamaha FZ10?
haha yeah for sure, I definitely hear ya on that...it seems like no matter what motorcycle I have, I always want like 10 more. haha The only bikes I've reviewed so far are my own GSXR 600, the ducati Monster, X Diavel S and Panigale 959. I plan on reviewing as many motorcycles as possible in the future but I still work full time so weekends are my best chance to do it so it will take some time to get other reviews out. Here is the link to my motorcycle playlist on my channel where you can find all of the videos I've done on motorcycles ruclips.net/p/PLajCCJPKsDWyGTee1vO8s_oMGhqEaz9jO
Yeah, the motorcycle manufacturers seem to have found that sweet spot in our brain that craves looks, performance and sound. Ducati's real good at it. Yamaha is making some cool machines. I had a 2015 Yamaha VMAX that I made one of a kind. 680 lb. beast with almost 200hp at the wheel, 120lbsft. torque, 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds. I didn't drag it but it likely would run 1/4 mile in 9.5 sec. Very hard to manage as a regular riding bike. Most powerful production motorcycle ever. I'll be watching for more reviews from you. Take it easy and do well. d:^)
1mins. You look so cool on that baby man Rockstar can't wait to see if u like it I'll watch the hole vid but have heard nothing but greatness they hit this one out the park. 5:35- right I felt that just sitting on it..could not have said it better (it does what you want it to do)
5UP haha nice glad you enjoyed it. Definitely one of the most fun bikes I've ridden. And I think I recognize your bikes. I think I've watched your videos or seen you on 650ib. Small world. Haha.
Perfect intro music! More of a muscle bike than cruiser, it went toe to toe with the Yamaha Vmax. I am a sportbike guy through and through but that bike is just pure sex.
Great handling/riding high performance bike. Pricey? Yes. But a dressed out Harley is now around $35K. Ducati needs to offer different colors with this particular bike however. I'm sure it's in the works. Good review. Can't beat California.
I took one of these out two weeks ago. I want it so bad. I have the 2013 diavel, and honestly the only thing the regular diavel does better is 0-60 time. The Xdiavel just blows it away in every other way. I might trade in my diavel next year and pick up one of these.
I have a penigale 1199s and I love my bike but at 35.. i need something more comfortable, look bad ass, and still have the power of a super bike and that bike is definitely the answer .. a beautiful sports bike on the weekends and that beastly beauty during the week.... I'll wait 2-3 years to get a nice used one. the xdiavel s that is. Great review man! question, have you changed the heat shield thats under the seat on your penigale? if yes, how much of a difference it makes far as the heat radiating?
How tall are you? I'm 5'10", thinking about getting this bike. It really seems perfect for what I'm looking for....a cruiser with a sport bike personality. But, I'm worried it isn't cruiser enough with the position. At 5'10" I'd like to still be able to feel laid back when cruising. Seems like taller riders are in that exact position on this bike and you definitely seem to fit it how I'd like to. Hopefully you aren't any taller than maybe 6'2" because I can always adjust the fitment with different bars and forward control positions to bring things in line.
thanks glad you enjoyed it! I've got a motorcycle section on my channel where I've been taking out a bunch of other bikes along with showing videos of my own so be sure to check that out if you're interested :)
Cool video! Had a chance to try the bike myself, the acceleration is definitely a lot faster than any traditional American cruiser. But the bike handles somehow strange, at very low speed the turning radius is huge, because of the long wheelbase(over 1.6m) and 30 degree rake. At speed, it turns very light and quickly, but in the turn, it feels strange because the 240mm rear tire, the contact patch is far away from the bike's center line. The launch control is more a launch assist, you release the clutch progressively, without practice, launch control can be slower than "manual" start. With that much power underneath you, it's scary to release the clutch at full throttle and over 9k rpm. The foot pegs are high off the ground, to give that 40 degree lean angle, but for me it's too high, and too far forward. It could be a better bike, or better cruiser, if, the wheel base is shorter, the rake is smaller, the rear tire is 200mm, and the rider triangle is more neutral, less cruiser-ish. Looks awesome though. Everyone I meet says, that's a sexy bike!
They offer a bunch of different combinations of forward control positions/handlebar/seats for guys like you that want to dial it in just perfect. Seems like they knew certain people would find something to complain about so they've offered a solution. To me, I don't agree that it could be a "better" bike if they changed the things you mentioned. That would simply make it a more normal cruiser and not Ducati's version of a cruiser which is what I would want. I like the idea of riding the Ducati engineer's vision of what an Italian cruiser should be so I wouldn't want to water it down and try to make it an American cruiser. Plenty of options out there if someone wants to go that route.
How about a 2 up review next time? Looks like the right passenger peg is over the exhaust, seems like it would melt your gfs shoes. How is the back seat for a passenger? How was the heat off that big engine in stop and go traffic?
Yeah I honestly don't know if this would be the best bike for a passenger. The back seat is tiny and the exhaust is very close to where her feet would be. As for heat, I honestly didn't feel any at all while I was riding it, which was surprising considering the panigale reputation so that was a nice surprise.
haha this bike is actually really close to the ground and you could move the pegs anywhere to fit ya...probably one of the few you could actually ride honestly. haha
Andre khoury that's a tough call. They are pretty different bikes though. This is a more cruiser rider position where as that new Ducati sits a lot more upright. To me it reminds me of a monster with fairings basically. So all just depends what you want.
im new rider but doing great on a 2014 696 monster in 36 almost 37 i guess thats my chance to get a more fancy bike the guy is busy now i just dont want to spend money and have headache im.confused also chou i get the panigale look or the cruiser harley davidson style honestly maybe i borrow from the rich bro and got both lol this way i can sleep better should i pick this or that
You will also be blown away by how shitty the electrical systems are, how much corrosion you get and how easily the paint gets damaged. Otherwise great poser bike... LOL

That bike is LIT AF. Such a beast
dude seriously, wtf. I need one of these in my life.
For sure! I need to trade up!
That bike came a long way. Your build was outstanding. It made me fall in love with that bike.
Your commentary on this ride is why I’m a subscriber. Good info, lots of fun, totally genuine-

Hi Jaret, thanks for the video. Quick question, I am considering buying this Xdiavel but I am six foot one... Is this OK or will it feel uncomfortable. Thanks!
It is an incredible bike. Ridiculously easy to ride and ridiculously fast. Only one complaint there is the wind at high speed.
Man what jacket is that?? I'm m getting an x diavel next week and my super sport alpinestars doesnt look right on it haha.

found it. great vid. very informative. I own that bike and can't get enough of it with the termi exhaust equiped.

The motovlog mc community is a small world. The x diavel s is currently one of my favorites.
Hey Jaret. Can you tell what jacket are you wearing ?
Good review! Just got mine today!
Mike Malang oh you lucky bastard! Haha Congrats man. Enjoy the beast. 👍
Do you still have it? What is your final thought? Pros Cons?
Hi Jaret , what do U think of xdiavel ? Will it be in your garage soon or just wait once u hit older age 😂 better than pani ?
Perfect intro music! More of a muscle bike than cruiser, it went toe to toe with the Yamaha Vmax. I am a sportbike guy through and through but that bike is just pure sex.
spoonman73 haha thanks man I agree. What a badass bike. And that was actually one of my friends songs so glad you enjoyed it. 👍

I pretty much agree with everything you said here :)
Does this bike come with quickshifter up and down
Nope, unfortunately not. There are some aftermarket options available thou.
Amazing ride bro' 🙌🏼
Thats one sick bike! Have not seen one in person but i see my local dealer has one! I smell road trip! Good Review !
cpac97 thanks glad you enjoyed it! Definitely go check one out and take it for a ride if you can. They are amazing.
It is an awesome bike, I changed it months ago for a HD V-ROD.
Gotta say I miss the Ducati.
oh really??? Thats interesting to hear...what don't you like about the V-ROD? I always wanted to ride one but haven't had the chance yet.
Jaret Campisi There's nothing of it I don't like, I am in love with my new bike but from time to time I miss the Ducati feeling.
ahhh gotcha...I'd imagine you can't really go wrong with either. Congrats on the bike man :)
Really, i'm still between two and can't decide :(
I took one of these out two weeks ago. I want it so bad. I have the 2013 diavel, and honestly the only thing the regular diavel does better is 0-60 time. The Xdiavel just blows it away in every other way. I might trade in my diavel next year and pick up one of these.
Brent Mifsud yea they are such great machines. And hey congrats on the standard diavel. Still a great bike!
Jaret Campisi got my diavel for like half price with only 2800 km on it. I couldn't turn it down.
Blake Ogeris the less you do the less you will be able to do bro, don’t give into to aging, train and give life the FU for a long as possible lol.
The seating position of sports bikes like 1299 compare to xdiavel ,which more comfortable? Especially for a long ride.
I thought the diavel was way more comfortable than a sport bike but I'd have to ride it for more than 30 min to decide for sure.
How was your voice so clear in the helmet? Had you some mic in there or ?
Crazy lookin ride tho
Neil McMahon yea I have a mic running through my helmet that is plugged into the GoPro 👍
Sebastian Lindenthal lol I agree. If you check out my last few vlogs I have since upgraded and it sounds much better. 👍
How tall are you? I'm 5'10", thinking about getting this bike. It really seems perfect for what I'm looking for....a cruiser with a sport bike personality. Ive Got a Multistrada, all Ducatis Rock !
Simon Foster hell yes! Couldn't agree more
Great review.
thanks glad you enjoyed it! I've got a motorcycle section on my channel where I've been taking out a bunch of other bikes along with showing videos of my own so be sure to check that out if you're interested :)
Okay I understand It's cool for a cruiser bike, but is it a bike you could own?
Popped into a store at the weekend, it's a pretty bike indeed. Did you like it though ;)
haha yea I'm slightly obsessed with this thing. Such a badass machine.
Please make videos of the problems.. And dealer nightmares you encounter with this bike.
Oh come on. What is it? You can't afford one...you are a Harley fanboy...you only buy discount brands....Take your pic, your jealousy is nasty.
Loving your all videos
specially Track and field.
can you tell me some exercises for flexibility
thanks man! I actually just put out a cool down video with a bunch of stretches as the end so check that out :)
awesome bike bro
thanks, it was an absolutely blast to ride!
no heating issues on ur left side???
Andre khoury I felt no heat at all for the 30 to 45 min I was riding actually.
Is it automatic or not?
How tall are u ?
Beast of a Bike.
seriously, such a badass machine.
Nice bike man, Where are u from??
Thanks, thing was an absolute blast to ride. I'm from Pennsylvania but I live in Santa Barbara, CA.
do you tested the average mileage?
Rabeeh Ebrahim I did not but I believe it varies drastically based on how you ride it. My guess would be average somewhere between 20-40 mpg
Rabeeh Ebrahim i get 42mpg and i remembr doing a 120mph, so u know my riding style. this doesnt drink like a superbike. its addictive!
im.reading reviews now messaging my friend who owns one he baught first in lebanon i heard they had issues
Andre khoury haha small world my girlfriend is from Lebanon. ☺️
Andre khoury I own one and yes there were issues but minor ones and they immediately fixed them its an amazing bike
nasser kh ok thanks
Jaret Campisi awsome try to go shopping with her lol
one of d hottest designs.
Does the bike use Brembo brakes?? :-)
Nick Campbell yes sir. Had brembos in the front an rear 👍
Very nice bike bro!!
thanks man, isn't mine though...just got to ride it for a an hour or so...I'm obsessed though.
It's a beast!
I was waiting for what was going to happen next at 5:16, then comes this cut 😥. It let me down, unlike your other videos
looks like something from Mad Max ! Also reminds me a little the Indian Scout....

Cop 1 : A cruiser from Ducati
Phê quá !
Nice!

The price. haha
So you liked it? I couldn't tell.

Good review. Review was about the bike (not you). A lot of reviewers can learn from you.
Right on. I really appreciate that :) Lots more reviews on my channel in the motorcycle playlist if you're interested.

First yes
Ahhhh yeah :)
here this bike cost 41000 woth registration and insurance still thinking what to get this one or the up coming ducati supersport s
Andre khoury that's a tough call. They are pretty different bikes though. This is a more cruiser rider position where as that new Ducati sits a lot more upright. To me it reminds me of a monster with fairings basically. So all just depends what you want.

You will also be blown away by how shitty the electrical systems are, how much corrosion you get and how easily the paint gets damaged. Otherwise great poser bike... LOL
Handle bar looks cheap for that bike.
