@@MattStefanFishing I meant no harm and I guess i just figured there's no way you could have the time to read all these. It's amazing if you do. Love the channel
@@MattStefanFishing I have only two videos on my channel but I think you'd love them. Caught a deer stuck in a bluff while fishing instead of hunting on the last day of deer season and released it safely.
The student was throwing a dark Megabass Vision 110. He said it's a good-looking color. I replied, "It looks like a trout dead in ice for a long time." Lol. I continue, "They say Megabass has the best colors. How come they look like dead frozen trout?" He laughed and we carry on.
Perfect timing on this video. Will be fishing in the next week or two and I already have two different colors tied on depending on the conditions when I go. This just helps even more with selecting the right one for the lake and conditions
My favs are natural , like Pearl melon , or bone , or black and silver , then the translucent, plus can’t forget about the chartreuses , like clown or table rock , those pink get hammered here by speckle trout , I’ve got em but mostly in my saltwater gear
Of you're looking for the bright colors check out saltwater editions of your favorite jerkbait. I also like to spray some of my favorite translucent baits with flat clear paint. It gives me another level between translucent and opaque.
Great breakdown on colors, I with you on the Table Rock Shad color!!! I have had some awesome days with that color, about fifteen years ago we found a guy in Springfield, Mo that airbrushed and he would make that color, it was fire on Table Rock, I wonder if thats how the color got its name???
Another great video a jearkbait is one of my favorite baits two use I cought a bunch 5 lbs and up bass early this year on them so I always love learning anything about them
Megabass 110 +1 jr in spawn killer, is very similar to that silent riser. It absolutely murders in the fall in lakes here in michigan, especially ones with carp. I've bought 7 just because what they do for 2 months a year.
I'm in Alabama and still have 75 degree water but these cool nights have given me the jerk bait itch. Plus it's time to get wrists, forearms, and shoulders up to speed to be able to throw a jerkbait all day once the water gets colder.
47 degrees? Wow! It's over 90 outside for me. I do like a jerkbait. The last couple of years, I keep one tied on all year long. Ghost shad has been doing well for me recently, as well as a chrome color.
Great info matt. My local lakes aren't muddy. But that tint of green if you know what I mean. But lately visibility has been about 18 inches or less. If the opportunity arises what color should I throw?
You know, it seems like last week you were waiting on ice out. Now your going to have ice in 4-5 weeks. It's hardly fair! It's not much better here, weather wise. The jet stream is plunging hard on us at this time. But at least I'm not in Florida. I can't say why I don't have that dark red jerk but I'll pick on up tomorrow. I have at least one red of everything else.
Give me clown, mb gizzard, pro blue, and mat shad…that’s all I need and yes I only throw megabass now lol I used to trash them for the price but now it’s all I want tied on
I got me few of them at those prices , I'm going to start throwing them finally got me a good rod. Appreciate you pointing out the best colors, that table rock is a great color, I use it on some jigs by jewel baits! By the way have you made your mind up about your career path?
I have a question So I fish a lot for grass lakes I don't stay far from the Potomac river so the water gets stained but not dirty which ones should I go with

Appreciate all the jerkbait content as of late Matt. Setup 2 different rod/reel/line setups and using your channel to grow my jerkbait confidence.
thanks!
I got a bundle of the cheap Amazon jerkbaits and they work really well.
sounds great!
Great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Very informative Matt the baby bass color works well around here. Really liked the cultiva rippin minnow guess no one else did they quit making it.

its cold here
Agree 100% on table rock color and the translucent table rock look. pretty much stick to those bad boys.
Awesome!
Great stuff, what is the yellow/green color called at 1:37, I really like that?
its called "Biwako Ghost Lime" by megabass
@@MattStefanFishing Thank you, I'll have to try to find one of those..
Do you throw the Blaze often? If so when?
Tannic water smallmouth love it
Great info matt. My local lakes aren't muddy. But that tint of green if you know what I mean. But lately visibility has been about 18 inches or less. If the opportunity arises what color should I throw?

Great Video , Matt !!! I love Jerkbaits myself !! Do you fish a Jerkbait when the water is mostly calm or always with a good ripple or steady wind ??
they can excel in all water conditions. I prefer a ripple but am happy to fish it when flat calm as well
I got me few of them at those prices , I'm going to start throwing them finally got me a good rod. Appreciate you pointing out the best colors, that table rock is a great color, I use it on some jigs by jewel baits! By the way have you made your mind up about your career path?
not 100% yet
Thanks.
You're welcome

opaque colors
Great information ! Seems like you believe color matters. Some anglers just do not get it. Thank for the reasons why colors can make a difference...
i think it makes a bigger difference with jerkbaits

No French pearl? I’m quite surprised.
It’s a good color
Personally I just don’t like that berkley came out with the Stunna at 15$. The cutter 90 and 110 was a badass bait for only 8$.
the cutter is a good one!
Do 90 percent know how to use them tho ???
