Kevin's jonesin'!!! Ahhh, the smell of fresh bike stuffs... Integrated HS. There are a few varieties of them. Cane Creek offers the proper bearings for nearly all I. S. type frames. Before cutting any fork.... Use a generous amount of spacers so you can tweak the stem height to your needs. Once cut, it's cut and you are locked into what it has become.
Good point about the spacers and stem. I usually like my bars high anyway so I should just pick up a bunch of spacers next time. Thanks for sharing that and for watching! 🤙🏻
@@cruisinginthe808 Steer spacers are bin items to have on and at all times! Thanks for doing this channel, Kevin! I enjoy you and Bernie being allaboot bike life!
The BroChanics are at it again. Looking good fellas. I’d love to see some red old school snake belly tires on that bad boy. And add a sticker for the Queen of Hawaii.
She's looking good, guys! Love the color combo of components. Just another tip: I'd still grease the seatpost specially where you live with corrosion. I always grease all my seatposts with no slippage problems. Last thing you want is aluminum bonding with steel.
OMG! This turned out to be a three hour video for me because I fell asleep while watching it, haha. Great funny video though. The Skyway looks killer with the blue/red theme!
Looking good 👍 and great video of the fork cutting👍👍 My blue frame came in today so I’m very excited!! I went with the Crupi headset and it fits perfectly!
Oh yes. The seatpost issue. This is keeping me from getting the seat clamp I want on my Skyway frame. Had to bend the one I threw on there so hard to get it on and now it probably won't come off anymore. Big up on the build. It's gonna be a beautiful cruiser!
Thanks man! Yeah, with his dogs in the house, he needed to get that kitten outta there! Thank you so much for the nice comment and for watching another one!
Bernie was saying the same thing off camera when we were busting our butts getting that darn thing on! Thanks for watching another one and for that comment!
The stem and headset combo looks great! I might have to get a stem like that for a future build! I got a kick out of Bernie running the camera and busting your chops a bit! Lol Looking forward to the next video!
Looking good!! Highly recommend putting some grease or anti-seize on the seat post. I've battled with a stuck seat post (aluminum oxide grows little burrs and makes it impossible to release sometimes, over years) and it was a nightmare. Anti-seize is nasty stuff, use a glove (or cut a finger off a glove like I do to save $), but it works great! CHEERS
Always looking out for us man! Super appreciate that brother! Yes, I will def go back and put some grease on the seat post. Also debating on getting a blue one instead to offset the red seat post clamp. Appreciate you watching and spreading the knowledge bro!
Couldn’t wait for this video. 😢now have to wait for the next. I would lune everything bolt , but seat post. Also sorry what bothers me is the fork I would’ve paint the bare metal after cutting
Yeah, ,I can see that with regards to the fork. I think if we can lube that better maybe? Too late to paint it but I think we can still grease it up better. Thanks for the nice comment and for watching!
The bike is looking great, even in the process of building, and that part is fun too. I have a black SE So Cal Flyer with gold parts, but when looking for gold coloured pedals I ended up settling for black pedals as the gold ones I found were either out of stock or out of budget!
I fell ya....it was really hard to pull the trigger on the Skyway pedals. Probably won't be doing that again! But I can't wait to see how they look on the bike once I get my cranks! Thanks for watching and for your comment!
The skyway is coming out absolutely beautiful I have a blue origin8 seat on my 20 inch TA I love it just wish they made it with chrome rails I’m tempted to switch out the rails from another seat If you keep the seat maybe consider black grips and tires Then those parts tie in together Love watching you guys
Thanks man! Yeah, that black seat needs to grow on me but the tires are all black so they may just be ok. I'll have to wait to see what it all looks like when it's done. Thanks for the suggestions man! Appreciate you watching and leaving a nice comment!
That star nut bolt is M6 or 6mm, all the same. They also make M10 star nuts for hollow bolts (to run front brake cable through, potts mod style). You can get replacement bolts at almost any hardware store. On one bike, I needed a longer bolt because the star nut was too far down, no problem getting one at Ace Hardware.
Dropping more knowledge bro! That's why I LOVE YOU MAN! Always there to support guys like us who need it! All our subs need to go and subscribe to your channel!
When using the plumbers rotary pipe cutter, if you sinch down to hard it will cause it to creep like that. Plus, the little blade isn't really made to cut through CroMo steel. Plumbing a house would cost as much as the house. : )
I don’t have the correct tool either, and I’ve found that with an old crown race I can flip it upside down on the new one and the hit it with a mallet without hitting directly on the new crown race.
Dude, that is a fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing that! It's always sketchy banging that thing down like that. Appreciate you sharing that tip and for watching!
What’s this headset type called? Integrated, semi integrated? Does the Bottema headset from the Race Inc fit this frame? I have both the 24” Skyway Planet I need to build, and the Race Inc. I’d like to put the bottema on both bikes.
@Cruising in the 808 Great build guys, that blue is Too Sexy…😜 Two golden rules when building a bike, if your doing a job do it properly, and always use grease when putting metal to metal, except for handle bar and stem……Have fun earthlings..👾👾👾🛸👾👾
What's really weird is I see your comment in the email I get from YT when anyone makes a comment, but I don't see it etiher! I'm so sorry man! I do not know what happened to it. Just FYI, I do not delete comments on purpose. Maybe I accidentally deleted it when I was in the middle of a response? Shoot, my apologies again my man. I do not know where that first comment went! And to answer that question, the box is getting empty after the last video we just shot! It'll be out on Monday! Thanks!
Love your attention to detail. What a sick build.

Man that’s the sexiest bike ever made!!
Aww, thank you for saying that!
Wow Skyway looking ridiculous, especially headset combo. Can't wait to see next video on bike build, Another awesome video 🤙🏼
Thanks man! We're liking it so far and got more stuff to show you next week! Thanks for watching another one!

Haha! It was a long one for sure because of that fork! Appreciate you coming back to it to finish it though!
wow what a dream build ,love it
Thanks Mark! Appreciate you watching and sharing that comment!
this looks awesome. Love the Brochanics.....your inspinging me to go build one from scratch......keep up the good work and positive vibes.
I think we need to trademark that name! Love the "Brochanics"! Totally matches us man! Thanks for watching another one!

Yeah, I don't think this one will come off either, it's wedged in there so tight! Thanks for watching another one and for the comment!
I always use the pipe cutter for my forks handlebars seat posts it makes life easier 👌
You are a smart man like Bernie my friend! Thanks for watching another one and for that comment!
The Skyway is coming together great! I like your part choices , matching up perfectly!
Thanks man! Appreciate that and you watching another one!
Bernie chasing the kitten hahaha... classic.. love the build bro. So much info you guys provide the rest of us. can't wait for 2.0 🤙
Thanks man! Yeah, with his dogs in the house, he needed to get that kitten outta there! Thank you so much for the nice comment and for watching another one!
I believe the seat post clamp tightness is due to the frame being powder coated, adding just a hair of thickness 😎👍 It's looking great my friends!
Bernie was saying the same thing off camera when we were busting our butts getting that darn thing on! Thanks for watching another one and for that comment!
Top ❤
Currently my favorite channel. Keep it up. Love you guys !

We really had some fun that night for sure and yes, Bernie is def enjoying being behind the camera! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
Dude was literally gritting his teeth when Bernie started with the sandpaper on the fork tube. 🤣
Haha, yeah, we got some comments on that! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
@@cruisinginthe808 Id do the same thing with how high the prices are for all those parts.

You guys need a "shop kitty"! 😂
I think Bernie's two dogs might have a problem with that! But if you are talking about another kitty......😂

Next build... Reverse the seat clamp bolt and put a dime or nickle in between and tighten, spreading out the clamp a little.👌
That is a great tip! Thanks for sharing that and for watching the video! 🤙🏻
