      I'm not sure what bug's you are refering to so i cant say for sure if paying for the license will solve this. However it will stop the trial screen from coming up.

    you can fix the button mapping by setting the on and off value to the same value in kontrol editro (1 or some other value). voicemeeter expects the same button value for turning mute on and off.
    The led can still get out of sync!

      funnily enough i have recently set this up for myself.
      So i use the volume knob's as External FX Send 1 on the channels i want to send to stream and then External FX Return 1 turned up full on Output A2 (Or whichever output you send to stream).
      It does make having the Record button send it to stream a little more difficult but it can totally be done, i can post my macro details for that if you'd like.

    Sorry first time with this so maybe he explained it already but is it possible to set one of the macros for discord to mute yourself from discord chat but be able to still talk to twitch chat?

    • @knottymister7252
      @knottymister7252  3 года назад +1

      You would need to have your microphone going to two different output's in voicemeeter (A1 +A2 for example) and have A1 sent to discord and A2 sent to stream and then set the macro's accordingly.
      However the way i do this and a far easier way is just to set a keybind in discord to toggle mute.
      I hope this is helpful for you.

    • @knottymister7252
      @knottymister7252  4 года назад +1

      Hi JaviM8. Glad you found the video so useful!
      So in OBS i have 2 audio sources. one for the overall stream audio output (everything but microphone) which on my setup is 'A2' Set to Virtual cable-B. Then one for my microphone which is 'A3' Set to Virtual cable-D.
      So my 2 inputs on OBS are Virtual cable-B For overall mix and Virtual cable-D for microphone.
      As a side note i have my A2 output set to a volume fader on my nanoKontrol2 so that i can adjust the overall volume of everything on the fly once i'm happy with the individual program level's (I normally have this set just slightly lower than my microphone)
      Also if you set the 'R' buttons to each channel to output to A2 (and A3 for micrphone) you can also stop certain programs being sent through to the stream and still be able to hear them yourself (sometimes handy for voice chat).
      I hope this is helpful for you!

      @@InSaiyanShinobi I havent personally set it up with 2 pc's however i'm sure you could. It would depend on what programs are being run on what machine i guess. My initial thought would be to have your HDMI audio output (or whatever output you have to the stream pc) set to it's own fader (say A2).
      You'd have to play around but I see no reason why it wouldnt work

    Is it easy to set the faders back to unity?
    On VM you just double click and they auto reset to unity.
    If you move the software fader does the hardware fader simply re-engage control once you move it again?

  • @kn1219
    @kn1219 3 года назад

    Whats gonna happen if I virtually adjust the input level through VB? In the goXLR case, the fader and the mute button will react correspondinly, which means u can controll the routed source (spotify, game, discord) no matter physically or virtually.
    I really want a GOXLR alternative but seems I cant find a perfect one....

    • @knottymister7252
      @knottymister7252  2 года назад

      There are midi controller's with active faders that will do what you want, however i expect it would be cheaper just to get a goxlr if you want that functionality.
      When i control the volumes through VoiceMeeter it will adjust the volumes until i touch the midi controller at which point it will revert to where the controller fader is currently set

    • @dashofawesome64
      @dashofawesome64 4 года назад

      if you really wanne use the midi there also. You have to be sure the company you got your midi controller from supports multiple applications at the same time. The alternative is to use a virtual midi controller. But know the delay i experienced is like 3 seconds. Here it is. www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/loopmidi.html
      If you have the korg nano kontrol 2 the latest update of the driver with some software supports the multiple applications. So i recommend to do that first if you have that device.

    i.e. if you need lower the music volume on your headset on the fly without change the volume of music for stream

    I wanted to do this forever, I found your Video when I researched if there were any setups for Voicemeeter with this MIDI controller. So thanks for the tutorial, you basically made me buy it. And when coding counting always starts at 0. Its because the first digital number is 0 and why would you waste it, just to start counting at one. You get used to it.

    Hey man, I just started setting up my nanokontrol. I was fiddling with the settings to see if I can get the mute button to work without having to do the macros, and I think I got it. You need to switch the off and on values for each button in the Korg editor so off is 127 and on is 0, then enable the "PTT" button in voicemeters midi mapper. It toggles normally after that. Unfortunately it only seems to work for the mute buttons, because the PTT option isn't available for the other controls. Luckily I don't really have a need for the solo or record buttons with how i want to use it though.

    • @knottymister7252

    • @jarkiro

      To further add to this, I found just putting Off Value to 1 instead of 0 allowed it to function properly, without selecting PTT. I don't think it likes not having an off value! Solo and Mute both working without Macro buttons now.
