Oh and it’s guaranteed, I even had healers around her healing her constantly, and the game just said F*** you and just made the poison one shot her

Hell shez should of been able to slap some sense into her with the “It’s our line of work” mentality and if I understand correctly in this universe leonie WAS a mercenary so she should also understand that Allie’s come and go live and die
Fun fact, if you don't attempt to recruit her while keeping her on life support (healing her every time she's low) she still dies due to a scripted event

When I lowered the bridge Leonie refused to cross it and decided instead to backtrack and fight.
Same thing happened with Dorothea in Golden wildfire
@@FrostedMike this is why i have literally everyone except the person i'm playing as go on the defensive for leonie/dorothea and escort them back safely.
I mean it makes sense she would hate the man who killed her idol Jeralt… so I’d prob had send another unit to help her with heal and it might’ve worked
It doesn’t, I had Mercedes follow her around and heal her constantly in at a certain point after you beat the demonic beast she just dies.

@@Hewasnumber1 Those weren’t necessarily bad, just poorly explained. In fact imho I feel like the writers never properly completed her story. Like how she is such a fan of Jeralt but has never met Byleth.

Yea no I think this was kinda dumb, like I’d be fine if she wouldn’t get recruited but at least let her not die if we forcibly go heal her.

She'd have to have the intelligence and survival instincts of a half-eaten burger to do this. It's insultingly written, and does a disservice to her character and makes her a total joke.

@@alexG106 It’s quite within her character to do this. She literally scolds Jeralt’s own child right after he died, about Jeralt. There is no universe in which she doesn’t do this.

Nah omg right when I did this on the Golden Deer one, Dorothea was SO close to the base and she was almsot dead… what did she decide to do? FRICKING TRY TO FIGHT A FEW GENERIC ENEMIES FOR NO REASON AND THEN SHE DIED FROM THE POISON? I was like “heartbreaking but you brought that upon yourself I’m not doing all this again”
In my play through I was so close, but the AI got stuck on a corner and was just going back and forth, she died and I was reasonably salty
@@Monkey97983 the AI can be so annoying… i especially hate when people you’re meant to protect are almost dying and they go and fight something hard- like should you not protect yourself 💀 it would be cool if we could like give our NPC allies only like certain commands?
This is why I followed her. I fucking KNEW the stupid ass ai would attack and not go to the stronghold
@@pigeonleader I LITERALLY DID FOLLOW HER she kept stopping. I had to resort to trying to push
@@lw9188 i just killed any enemy that she tried to attack. Whenever a swordmaster spawned or whatever I would immediately use my gauge just for she could walk on. The ai sucks
her whole goal of being a merc is dumb, she really isn't cut out being a merc, at best a knight for sale.
The girls on Golden Deer are pretty good and then there's her.
I dunno, my Leonie is outperforming my Lorenz on my Three Hopes GW hard mode playthrough. So far, she's been the better cav unit with better stats than Lorenz.

I don't hate Leonie, but I gotta admit, she's got a lot of growing up to do, because that hoop of logic is just... oof. At least she died by her word? Bonus point for that?
She's definitely more understanding of that in GW if you decided to kill Jeralt. Like, she's obviously devastated, but she understood that they didn't really have a choice and it's part of the risk of being a mercenary.

@@RangerRobin0404 There's a keen difference between revenge and claiming some sort or moral highground. If Leonie just wanted to revenge against Shez the same way Shez wanted revenge on Byleth, that'd totally be understandable. But nah she's to act like Shez is some horrible murderer for killing a contract killer. She's not like "I cannot accept help from my idol's killer", she's like "You KILL people! What did we EVER do to you?"
Shez never acts like he's above murder or killing, he just wants to avenge his fallen friends and family from his old mercenary band
You say that here, but in Golden Wildfire trying to keep Dorothea alive is just the same, doesn't even matter if you kill all the thieves in her way she just takes way TOO long to take the longest route to the stronghold and the worst is she could be perfectly able to walk to the stronghold but decides to take the longest route and dies

Kinda wish they didn't make her like that because I would prefer to have to recruit her even after having killed Byleth and Jeralt. Kinda annoyed that certain units are locked out when you axe those two
in golden wildfire there's basically the same thing but with dorothea, in golden wildfire bad ending dorothea rejects your help or something?
I got the bad ending, but she did accept my help, it's probably linked to recruiting someone from her class

I didn't even know you could fail that. Then again, I stuck Jeralt with her, so maybe that's why I succeeded. I only did it cause I thought Jeralt and her would have dialogue.
Well, its more so you succeeded because you HAD Jeralt. The only options are recruiting him or killing him.
She will have three quarters health then just die in an instant for no reason. I feel like it's glitched
Im pretty sure in order to persuade her you need to have recruited Jeralt and Byleth earlier on, which is rather tricky because you only have one chance to do it and you have to do it basically by the book, otherwise you're forced to fight and kill them or you just straight up miss your chance.
you can completely miss the chance if you go too fast on that map, too.

I can say the same thing to you because this doesn’t make no sense at all If we Jeralt in Chapter 10 Black Eagles route Leonie will refuse to join the empire because her Captain Jeralt is dead even if I choose Persuade Leonie and I press initiate strategy Shez will confront Leonie to go take Shelter and Leonie will say I don’t need pity of murderers and then Mission briefing fail will appear saying Failed to recruit Leonie

honestly excuse my French but the fact that it came to me to go on RUclips to save this damn woman but after looking at all the damn comments it occurred to me you save her no matter what you do but the fact it took 4 no maybe 5 restarts. for me to realize is so damn irritating if I and I mean me was In her shoes I would honestly have taken the damn antidote. hell I would let eldelgard recruit me but noooooo this is a anime game so their going to be casualties ( sorry for the long comment but this honestly pissed me off 😡)

Huh, I assumed you just didn't get the Strategy available if you killed Byleth. Lmao imagine wasting the points and having to restart the mission after that just so you can properly spend them.

Felix and Ingrid joining Byleth in Crimson Flower is worse because it made absolutely no sense for them to do so, seeing as both Felix and Ingrid are students who are the most loyal to the Blaiddyd royal family and Kingdom of Faerghus.
Felix and Ingrid basically act out of character in Crimson Flower route.
Leonie dying brings me indescribable amounts of joy.

@@tatiana2696 She is one the worst characters in three houses, from a story and gameplay standpoint. 17 strength, level 32, the Leonie experience.
@@Hewasnumber1 but she has some of the best speed skill and def, not to mention good combat arts and passable str.
@@maxdavidson3319 As I said, every time I tried to use her she had absolutely awful strength. And for your information, I have tried to use her five times in maddening and in each attempt she never got past 20 strength without stat boosts. 0 damage on all enemies including mages and generally weak enemies.
