What a wonderful video. Max is so sweet when he meets Maryann, all heart with head bonks, presenting his rump for a sniff and following her constantly. Sure he got a few solid swats but it was worth it, he won fair lady and now they're the picture so a happy couple. It's amazing how much effort the wonderful people at BCR go through to give the cats the best possible life in captivity. If only each of us could apply even part of that dedication to the people and animals around us the world would be a far better place.

Spinosaurus It takes time, and getting to known each big cat. They all have different markings and personalities. No two leopards have the same spots, and no two tigers have the same stripes. It is kind of like our fingerprints. This is how they are identified in the wild, and we can do the same here.
MyFatCatPumpkin Bobcats are not big on swimming, although when Max first arrived here he would swim in the pool. The pool water is pumped from our lake, and fish sometime get in there. They do like to go fishing.
Thank you for the update! I have been wondering about these two. In the original introduction video, Max seemed so happy to have a friend - I thought of him as the "Kissing Bandit" because he was doing all he could to capture her attention, and maybe even steal a kiss. Mary Ann was trying to be the practical one, to see what this new enclosure was like. "Boys!" seemed to be what she was growling at him, when she swatted him to keep him at a distance. They make a cute couple, and I'm glad the BCR staff decided to introduce them, so they won't be alone.
Mary Ann sure knows how to play hard-to-get. Max seemed happy to keep trying. :-) I'm glad this worked out. Maybe because they are in captivity they had altered some natural instincts to compensate for boredom . . . and love.
Aww, these two are so cute. I'm glad they got to be together and have someone to play with and love! To be honest, toward the end of the video, I'd rather be hearing the funny noises they make while playing than just music, but still super cute!!!

They are sooo much like my two grown feral kittens! Cody may be younger and outweigh his big sister Baxie by 5 lbs, but she knows how to put him in his place. Watching Max and Mary Ann play, wrestle, squabble, and cuddle is *exactly* like watching my two. 😸
I loved it to much. Max was so goofy introducing himself and Mary Ann was like “get away weirdo”. But he eventually melted her heart with his cuteness! Haha 💕

Mary Ann don't take nothin' from no one! "Back off and leave me alone, dang it!" she snarls with a swat, her tone making it clear she means business. *G* Max foolishly doesn't take her seriously and learns the lady meant everything she said (but he still doesn't get the message. Men can be **so** dense sometimes). She eventually forgives him for ignoring her and gives him another chance, and learns he enjoys wrasslin' and a good cuddle just as much as she does. 'Guess he has some redeeming qualities after all,' Mary Ann decides. 'I'll let him beat me once in a while just to be nice.'
She is so pretty...her eyes look like she is wearing make up lol You can tell she is a female bobcat! And she is smaller, face is thinner, too. Very cute couple! Great idea to put them together BCR!
