- What to have in mind if you are looking for that out the door pricing and your local dealer won't give it to you! Shop around, at this point most dealers are able to tell you the pricing and work with you to get you rolling.
Those prices are why I was always the third owner all the Harleys I owned.
I let the doctors and lawyers ride it for a year and trade it in 😎
Asshol like you say stupid things and likewise don’t get good stuff until the good, the bad and the ugly don’t get rid of it. Attitude is the real cause of global warming
I've owned 14 HD since 1969. Bought last new from stealership in 1981. Haven't been in a stealership since 2007. Wouldn't give me OTD price without their credit application. I intended to pay cash.
@@bobberguy1 same here, haven’t financed a bike in my entire life
2024 Street Glide, MSRP $25,999... but 34k really.... no thanks, but I appreciate you saving me the trip to the dealer.
Yes sir, I walked in expecting to get a new bike hahaha might wait till next year
@@0hi0hdmc I walked away from my local Harley dealer and a 2024 Street Glide in Whisky Fire (beautiful color). OTD as it sat was $6K over MSRP. Found a used 2020 Special with 4700 miles 150 miles away for the price I was looking at. Can't see me ever buying a new one.
This is a great example of how blind dedication to a brand distorts one's sense of reality. For instance this dealership if being praised for their transparacy of how their pricing is $2,000+ above MSRP. Somehow their screwing you out of $2,000 is a virtue because they are showing you upfront as to how they are over charging you. Any other brand you would walk away and never go back to that place, but when its a Harley dealer all is forgiven and we just accept with a smile getting screwed.
I value your opinion but feel that you are mistaken. Have you looked at a window sticker at a car lot recently. There is msrp, the color option and fees displayed. You mean to tell me that if you look at a 2500 Silverado with tow package and leather that you are paying the msrp? Cause that’s not how it works. 🫣
I’m always amazed at US dealership practices - both bikes but also cars - it’s a minefield out there. Here in the UK the brand advertises the MRP on their web site and that’s the sticker price on the bike when you visit any dealer. From there the price only goes one way and that’s down. How far depends upon your negotiation skills. You will have to pay an annual road fund tax (£100 approx) but that’s on any bike every year so nothing to do with the actual purchase - and off you go. Delivery, prep, and registration fees are always included in the MRP and you never, ever pay more than the MRP. They will try to upsell gap insurance, tyre insurance and paint protection etc. but that’s up to you if you want to play that game. If you don’t want to haggle, there’s an option with a lot of brands where you can configure and price up your machine online from the manufacturers web site and then arrange collection and payment at your chosen dealer.
That’s awesome and how it should be
Warren HD is the best , bought my current bike there & will buy my next there . Great people & no BS
I dig a dealer that prints the OOD. The Brick red and that Blue are SOLID! I saw it on a Street Bob the other day but man, they have to change up that SB Badging😂.
Cool channel
Cheers from AZ
This is for all you would be Harley Davidson purchasers. There is one time a year, which the dealerships must move the product off the showroom and you can get crazy discounts at some dealerships, I say some dealerships because there are those no matter what they are not trying to sell anything below MSRP; there are others that are clearing the showroom giving stupid discounts. The tricky is, you will have to visit several dealerships to find them they cannot advertise these savings it’s against corporate policy.
I absolutely love the family owned Harley Davidson dealerships these big conglomerate are out of their minds with their fees it’s a shame motor company lets them get away with this! As far as a smaller inventory with a family owned dealership that’s not a problem, they can always trade for a bike.
I got my 2024 RG for 19,578 Before Tax and Shipping.. Cincinnati Ohio.
Hey, good reveiew. You gave great detail of what out the door pricing was.
The fairing on the 24 Harleys looks like a Toaster Oven… Butt Ugly !!😂😂
I didn’t know that their still any Mom & Pops dealership around
HD pays the dealer prep and setup. I'd suggest this is not a MSRP dealer if they are adding fees that are covered by HD.
TRUE STATEMENT!!!
I could build a 2 car garage and an incredible chopper for what those bikes sell for. Used Evo's are so cheap now you can cut them up and build a chopper. Or a nice Heritage soft tail with 8k miles for 8k and put 42k in the bank. Harley began in 04 not 03, they changed that because Indian was in 03. Harley is smart, one of the few companies that people pay way too much to advertise for them.
That whiskey fire road glide at the beginning for 28,500 before tax and title is not msrp. The dealership prep fees are bogus. That is the dealership double dipping for more profit. Harley reimburse the dealerships for prep and set up. It is under Harley’s website under the disclaimers. So that dealership is in fact NOT and msrp dealership. That whiskey fire road glide should be $26,849 plus $850 destination charge plus your state’s documentation fee plus your state tax to be considered MSRP. When dealerships are charging prep and set up fees to the customer that is them double dipping for profit and it is not a mandatory fee you have to pay. You negotiate and call them out for double charging for that. Also most states doc fees are under $100 so when they try charging $300-$400 that’s just another way for them to make profit as well.
Title is included just not the tax since it varies by county/state
I agree with you on the prep fees because they are comped by the manufacturer as a warranty event.
@@0hi0hdmc yep and when the prep fees I’ve seen at some dealerships charging $1500 it’s ridiculous. $1500 is the taxes i would have to pay on a new road glide in my state. So it’s basically like me paying the taxes twice over. The dealership I bought 2 previous brand new Harleys at including my current 22 model tried telling me the extra fee was because we live in New England (Maine). That is total BS and it was an insult to my intelligence. I told them I would be looking at other dealerships in my area since they think my IQ is the equivalent to forest gump!
I paid 25,500 out the door for my 24 road glide which is white on black so an up charged color scheme and the day tripper package included. These prices aren’t bad compared to what I’ve seen but if you can find a volume dealer you’ll be doing yourself a favor.
NO WAY! You have to ADD Sales Tax & Title for it to be "Out the door" pricing!!
@@bderryberry4987 that’s what I paid then rode the bike out the dealership.
@@PUREOWNwhere?
Where?
I love the new colors fit and finish looks good as well.
I have been to many HD dealerships looking for my next financial mistake. I always received the same answer when I ask, “Why should I buy an HD instead of another brand?” And the answer they gave me has always been the same, “‘Cause it’s a Harley!” Wrong answer. Until the price is commensurate with the features and reliability, I’ll pass.
Just picked up a 24 roadglide whiskey fire on black. Love it! Now if mother nature will cooperate and give us some rain and wash the salt and grime off the road.
Jealous
Very pretty dealership. They have a $1,000 markup on each bike over MSRP with their Setup/Prep & Doc fees.
Better than most, most dealers around here have all kinds of other things they add on as well
I dealt with ROCK&ROLL on W150th & Brookpark
How was your experience there?
Out the door price is the total (tax and tag) price. I used to buy bikes from Fletcher's, in Clearwater, FL. They would give the actual otd. price. Your dealer is showing the msrp plus fees. At least they are doing that much.
42k msrp ??? 25 k is my limit for road glide cash , or i’ll do without !
That’s the cvo prices, regular ones around 26k
Thanks for the comments. Checking out Mad River in Sandusky for a 2024 Roadglide. We'll see.
Transparency in pricing, not skullduggery HD.Get with it!
i bought my tri glide from warren and they are nice people and it was the lowest price out of the 4 Harley shops buy us
You know there’s a few charges that I don’t like on a new bike you have to pay for the transportation of it which that should not fall into the customer that should fall under the business and then the prep where they just take the stickers off and put it up on the computer and do a test. Customer should not have to pay for that run off the bat that should not be, even on the bill
Harley Davidson claims they pay their dealers for freight and set up . I live on Massachusetts , New Hampshire border and the dealers in my area are shysters . Buying a bike over here is like dealing with Russian mafia. Interest rates will be crazy even with 840 credit score
I wish all dealers were like this one.. at my dealership, you can't get a direct price... I go in and have to give them all my personal info and get a price... my friend does the same thing on the same bike with the same credit score, and gets a different price.. it's bs
Look it’s got the USPS logo on it. Going postal
Same old same old in Parkersburg WV
Dealership here in Frederick MD wants $2,323.00 in dealer fees over MSRP $28K on 2024 black RG. Plus tax. Also only offered me $20K for my 2022 RGST which was $33K new 🤬
🤔🤯
As a former resident of the Frederick MD area, you have access to many regional dealerships. The add on fees can be expensive, try other dealerships and just say no to anything extras. Everything is negotiable.
Don’t buy one is the best advice you can get.
How many 2024 Rode Glide CVO ST's are being made? The CVO's are top of the line and only just a few made before in the past, if they make too many then the re-sale goes down later when getting a new bike later on.
Gettysburg pa has the cars
I can not believe the price they charge for feight (Totally influenced chose) Why??????
long ways from Japan and Tiawan. All parts are made there.
This is not negotiable! Freight is charged on every Harley-they just don't include it in MSRP.
How many miles is it to your local Harley Davidson dealership? Closest one here is 12.4 miles away. Wish there was one closer. By the way, touring bikes looked beautiful!! In your opinion, which touring bike is most comfortable? I like the design of the Road King Special too!
I love the road king, but to me the most comfortable is the new road glide. The new bars stretch you out and keep my back straight creating a more comfortable riding position. The street glide bars are too low making me feel like I’m leaning forward. My closest dealer is about 10 miles
@@0hi0hdmc Good to know! I will definitely check out the new Road Glide. Comfort is most important to me.
They dropped the ball not having the shark skin blue with a chrome option.. We're not all skinny jean millennials😂😂 😂😂
Agree with you I been liking the chrome with burst blue more and more
Great vid, thanx.
That's why young riders will never buy a Harley besides thinking it's an old man's Brand
The demographic is slowly changing, but they’re all going after older model. Harley is not the new ones.
It is an old man brand so what 😂
@richardhall916 I guess I’m an old man 🤣😂
It’s a grown man’s bike
Think it’s just personal preference and generational thing. I’ve been riding 25 years and tried Harley once, 8 months later went back to a gsxr 1000. I just didn’t like the feel and the ride.
great video! thank you!
I’ve never paid for anything like that because you didn’t order the vehicles so you don’t have to pay it Harley pays the dealer for placing them on their showroom floor trust me you need to look more into it sir
I worked in service I know that Harley pays them for prep and setup. It’s coded as part of warranty
Prep is reimbursed from the MoCo.
It most definitely is! But the dealers add this as a non negotiable
Why would you pay freight and prep
Have not seen a dealer around me who does not chargenit
Ben Breece sells those 3 wheelers
are you planning on trading in your bike toward a 24? or will you be financing etc
I never finance, if I can help it! Only way I would finance is if the rate was 1.9%
That white cvo road glide had a black front fender Why ?? Looks stupid . the rest of bike looks great
@davidhoppe1757 - the CVO RG ST has a carbon fiber front fender.
Well it shouldn't just doesn't go . like when I see a chrome bike and someone puts black exhaust why ?
Yeah, he put his hand in my pocket. Penalize me for my wife being successful. Unloaded a house couple years ago they come back in the Yanks 60% of my Social Security.
Vanderhall
Vanderhall
Thanks for the video
Nice lope
Rock n Roll tried selling me one for 32999 +++
They tried the same with me. I passed.
Still shopping around.
Bc they're crooks, try Western Reserve
I heard western reserve ain’t bad. 33k$ is insane markup
@@0hi0hdmc might check out Warren...👌🏼
Thanks for the mention. I was debating going there or Mad River. Decided to go to Mad River and see what kind of deal I can get. I used to deal with Lake Erie Harley as they were so close but have since closed.
That dealership is charging $720 for set up. Pure ripoff. Every dealership gets paid (PDI) directly from HD. Walk away from the deal if they claim “can’t remove” that absurd charge.
They all do around here
like all modern vehicles your going to get an over priced piece of crap? that's what id exspect.
Not worth the money and the problems. Are you better spend your money on a warranty
Vanderbilt’s 😂
😎😂
Vanderbuilt and slingshot. Major thumbs down. absolutely zero to do with motorcycles. Harley, get that garbage off the floor and to the dump.
I apologize for the disrespect to dumps.
Harley is garbage lately. God forgive you don’t have any break downs. They always try to find a way of saying it’s out of warranty.
I have never owned a bike with a warranty until I bought my Lowrider s. All the warranty did was make me wait to upgrade the engine. I wish I knew better at the time and didn’t worry about the warranty and added everything I wanted in the first place. The tuner alone was worth voiding the warranty.
Not true, I have a 2019 RGS and needed a engine rebuild at 40,000 miles, extended warranty covered it no problem and then at 58,000 miles on the LAST DAY of my extended warranty I needed a transmission rebuild ($3051) again no issue being covered, only thing I had to pay was a $50 deductible each time
Everyone is different, I seen people get 100k on a stock engine with no issues, I have seen transmissions fail at 10k miles. Just like cars you are always taking the mechanical risk
@0hi0hdmc this was my first ever extended warranty.... so so glad I did
