How I wish all males were like this! Absolutely amazing! Never seen a male so tolerant of a cub that even disturbing his sleep not one growl or grimace but actual enjoyment to have Tinya near ❤️🦁❤️
Male lions kill all cubs not because of their inner cruelty but because lionesses won't mate with them until the cubs grow up! Males can't sit around and wait, an average dominant lion tenure lasts 2 years, they have to breed their own. If lionesses could breed and get pregnant with small cubs around this behavior wouldn't have developed. It may seem cruel but killing cubs is the only way.
TheKellin1 - It is terribly sad but it's nature's way. If all the beautiful cubs were to survive, there would almost certainly not be sufficient food and territory to support them all as adults. 😢💔🐾
TheKellin1 not every single male and not every single cub as Mr Othawa clearly shows. Even though it doesn’t mean he won’t in the future so Yes I do know natures way but if you think about every other thing they have to contend with just to live let alone mature its all a bit much and imo some circumstances just not fair!
RIP sweet king. You were beautiful and majestic, but perhaps too kind for this world. You were also alone, no coalition partner to have your back, or help you through. The spirit of dominance and adventure lived in you (who could keep quiet both the Mapogo blood and Majingilane heart you had?), but it seems you were not truly ready for the fight you picked. She seems to be such a loving, sweet girl and am so happy he has accepted her and even seems to enjoy her company. Thank you for showing those two. I hope for a long life of health and love. 💗

I think the bond they had is what saved her she might of had some chances to eat. I remember seeing a documentary on how usually the cubs take a risk when new male lions come around they try to form a bond with the new male lions. It ether works or doesn’t. If it didn’t the males lions are determined to kill them.
Othawa male showing traits that one would think never possible. Allowing the cubs to live is a pretty amazing thing. We are all going to suffer PTSD is something happens to the Othawa male. Majingilane/Mapogo/Birmingham cubbies...what a wonderful thought! Males have been known to show a clear preference for a specific female and then stay with that pride in order to stay close to her- I can see that happening with our Prince and Lady Tinya!
Does anybody know what happened to sweet Tinyo? The Othawa male is a special king for not all kings have the patience with the cubs. Such a wonderful clip full of love, it really impressed me. We, people can be so different, that's why we are touched by such scenes.
It's a possibility. But any of the 4 Birmingham males could be her sire. I think the moniker Tinya is due to her resemblance to BBoy Tinyo when she was younger so when fans see her photo they call her mini Tinyo, Tinya.
This is Prince Nguvu (unofficial name), also known as Prince Othawa, the Othawa Male, and King Othawa. He is a very beloved lion as he is the son of the Majingilane coalition and and daughters of the Mapogos...making him the heir of both the Mapogo and Majingilane lineages. He has a special story...when his mighty fathers died of old age, he took over as Pride Male of his OWN natal Pride and saw to their protection, which allowed the cubs to be raised to subadulthood. Only after they grew older did he leave to find his own Pride. This experience proved invaluable to him. He is now the Mangheni Pride Male and I honestly believe he allowed the Mangheni cubs to live not out of inexperience (because he had plenty already ruling a pride) but because he’s ALWAYS been a special lion, and he’s always been gentle with cubs.
Hey there, have you heard anything about the condition of the tsalala lioness and her cub? I know the lioness was in a terrible fight with the ntsevu pride . Please let me know if you find out anything. So worried about her and the cub. 🙏💕🦁

Great video thank y really love it
All the times I've seen the two of them bonding, I kept thinking she was a boy...had no idea lol this was fantastic to watch
Interesting situation. Over the next year or so, Tinya should finish maturing; will be interesting to see how their bond changes. If both survive that long, we may find out what being a stepfather means in a pride.
Leonas con sus cachorros; padre Leon enojado con cachorro; Leonas descansando con cachorros; Leones cachorros paseando con mama Leona. Leona acariciando a Macho; Leon de 2 meses juguetando con papa Leon. Hermosos. Gracias
Hello !!!!
What happend with them ?
Nice video & music.
Very touching bond 🤗
Have to watch at least once a day lol
So this litter was after the big boy litter of 12 with (correct mr if wrong ) two lionesses surviving with the mangheni pride just now
Correct!
Tinya ♥ I saw a photo of Tinya as an adult lioness but now, I really don't know her status.
I love this video! How do you correctly pronounce "Othawa"?
Ranger's pronunciation of Othawa here ruclips.net/video/LVEC0vy6Ny4/видео.html
His future wife tinya
Majingilane/Mapogo/Birmingham cubbies...what a wonderful thought! Males have been known to show a clear preference for a specific female and then stay with that pride in order to stay close to her- I can see that happening with our Prince and Lady Tinya!
was othawa male son of mapogo or majingi
Was Tinya sired by Birmingham Tinyo? Such a lovely video. She probably sees Othawa Male as her big brother
Maybe. There's some resemblance though.
@@ignijam2351 thank you and appreciate all the updates you are giving us. Stay safe
She's almost 2 years old, in a year he will mate with her.
I think she had a crush on him and wanted to mate with him.
Does anybody know what happened to sweet Tinyo? The Othawa male is a special king for not all kings have the patience with the cubs. Such a wonderful clip full of love, it really impressed me. We, people can be so different, that's why we are touched by such scenes.
This cub Tinya is now a big sub adult
Litlle Tynia still alive?
Her father must be Tinyo cause her name almost matches with his so she must be his daughter
People on fb name things in hope rather than serious speculative prowess
It's a possibility. But any of the 4 Birmingham males could be her sire. I think the moniker Tinya is due to her resemblance to BBoy Tinyo when she was younger so when fans see her photo they call her mini Tinyo, Tinya.
Wow! I wonder if they’ll ever mate!
Guys wheres hairybelly?
About 5 miles away
Thank you😘
Is this big boys who passed away on the 29/11/19 is this his sister ???
She is Big boy's younger half sister. This one here is his only littermate sister ruclips.net/video/kjRx6Y1NQWA/видео.html
I thought two sisters survived? Smiley is the second? She’s mated with Nguvu and has cubs?
The smiley one has no cubs, the younger sister has one cub as of last report.
Maybe he is a lone male taking over a pride and he is outnumbered by the lionesses who will defend their Cubs to the death
What's the name of this amazing male lion? Also does anyone know the latest with the Tsala female and her cub?
Nguvu have the similar experience with Tinyo.
Hey there, have you heard anything about the condition of the tsalala lioness and her cub? I know the lioness was in a terrible fight with the ntsevu pride . Please let me know if you find out anything. So worried about her and the cub. 🙏💕🦁
Haven't seen updates on her condition yet. Crossing fingers she will pull through.
She's back with her cub.
Lack of large prey in that area cause death of cub, similar story with Othawa pride as well.
