My shorts got tighter seeing I’ve got 7 of the top 20 in my 12 team. Nothing like hitting on kyren, achane, AND laporta in the start up. Flock tf up 🙌🏻
Honestly, temper the expectations on Achane and Kyren. Achane looked fantastic last year in limited run but was historically the most efficient back ever and is 101% going to regress from an efficiency perspective. A lot of what he did was also in blowouts. Hopefully that gets offset by an increase in workload but he's also quite fragile if last year was any indication. And the Kyren situation is murkier than you might think. His production last year was the result of very good play (no doubt), but also out of necessity because the Rams had legitimately no one behind him. They traded Akers paving the way for Kyren to shine and quite literally signed guys off the street who couldn't make meaningful contributions to the offense when Kyren was healthy. They also drafted Corum to come in a play a role immediately and have said they do not want to get Kyren as many touches this season as last year. We'll see what happens, but don't be surprised if you're disappointed by one or all of these guys for large stretches this season. If I were you I'd sell one of Kyren or Achane (depending on how your other RBs are) here at the near peak of their hype cycle values and get some draft capital back. But they could also both smash for a bit too so either way - solid roster construction for your team. Good spot to be in.
@brett4932 I have chase, gibbs, olave, nabers, achane, kyren, Addison. The discount I got for drafting kyren in the 19th, achane in the 9th, and laporta in the 11th last year is why I’d rather hold and contend (with an avg roster age of 24.6) than sell and capitalize on value. Play for MONEY not market. No rookie rb baring brooks will give you the upside achane or kyren currently have. I plan on selling kyren end of this year when he goes into his contract year with corum behind. We all know Sean Mcvay doesn’t like to pay his RBs
@@jkeef4702 decently deep rb room. But there’s no guarantee Achane or Kyren will ever be worth more than they are right now. And you could make a legit case that other older vets who are cheaper like white/cook/jacobs/henery/mixon etc. will come close to the output of either DA or KW in this season and you could add future capital and lock in a longer contending window. There’s a non zero chance that you lose this year and Kyren is worth no more than a third next year. Gotta cash in some of that value while you’ve got it. Right now your RB room is very high risk. High ceiling for sure but super high risk as well.
@@jkeef4702 I’d also strongly disagree with your statement on rookie RBs. The class coming in next season is absolutely stacked. First round picks in the 25’ draft have the potential to turn into backs who are equally if not higher value long term than KW or DA. The top 5 backs in the 25’ class would have all likely been drafted ahead of Brooks this year.
Healthy discussion but league context matters. Shallower dynasty format. 20 roster spots, no taxi, 2 IR. I don’t have nearly as much time to let players develop on my bench like deeper formats. This also means people are content churning waivers than trading to finding small value wins. People just want home runs. Out of 160 roster changes last year, 3 were trades. You have to be comfortable trading at a loss or find an idiot on a good day to get a trade done. Yes there’s a possibility achane’s size hampers his upside. Yes there’s a chance corum eats into kyren’s workload too much. But I’d rather take the shot on a young stud than down tier to an older, more proven assets who have their own red flags. Go for home runs cause small value doesn’t help much when practically 80% of your roster is locked year to year.
Going into year 2 of my Dynasty League and currently have ARSB, G Wilson, London, Nabers, LaPorta, Worthy, Cook and Reed from this list…shoutout the domain and flock team for all the good info!!!
Out of curiosity how many targets are you expecting zay to get this year? He did have 108 which is still a lot for a rookie so just curious as to how many more you expect to take him from WR31 to a high end WR2
Made a trade to move Burrow and another player for a 1st round pick in the 2023 draft.. got to pick up Gibbs @ 4th overall with that pick and Breece fell all the way to 16th overall for me as well. So pumped to have those 2 for the next 4-5 years 🙌🏼 goin into year 13 of this league now and missed the playoffs by 1 game when i was trying to defend back to back chip wins. Swept through the losers bracket and won the #1 pick so i now i get to add Marv to the team
Made this deal this morning. 14 team 1/2 ppr 1 qb no premium start 9. Gave up ETN, darnold, treylon, ainias smith, and a 2025 likely late 2nd for brooks, Daniel jones, otton, dulcich, and a 2025 3rd probably mid. I’m defending champ and Etn was my rb3 (bijan Breece). I wanted some better depth at qb and TE behind burrow and Ferguson (Carr McCarthy and kmet Mayer). Thoughts?
Damn have only 3 guys on the list but great list! Have Lamb, Smith, Dell, Odunze at wr and Njoku, Pat, Fant at TE. Would you trade one of those wrs for McBride or run this squad for year 1?
2 firsts and MPJ? That's a yes. Garrett is gonna be an easy top-10, possibly top-5 WR for 2 years, but post-Rodgers, he's gonna be back to Zach Wilson-level production. Meanwhile MPJ is tied to AR for the foreseeable future, and AR can - and will - get him the ball enough for consistent top-12 production for years to come.
@@keshavsharma54062 years from now, Wilson doesn’t have to stay in NY. He will hit the FA market in his prime. He could go somewhere with good QB play.
I made some trades and dont have much for picks the next couple of years but my team is, prescott, chase, nacua, gibbs, kyren, kelce, waddle, london. Bench is cousins, mixon, stevenson, chandler, chase brown, hockenson, kmet, gabe davis. I traded etn, legette and two seconds in 2026 to upgrade my te in a contending year for kelce, hockenson mixon snd stevenson. Any ways i could/should try to improve my team?
Always love updated cornerstone rankings. Lots of good points with these tiers. I would personally put Kyle Pitts at least one tier higher, if only based on market value. Pitts NEVER makes it to 6th round in startups, especially in TEP leagues. We (rightly) expect a London breakout, and I think the same should apply to Pitts. Just imo.
In my expansion team I'm doing a "prebuild" I got CeeDee, Wilson, London, AR, and Rhamondre in the expansion draft. I just traded CeeDee for Rome, JSN, Najee, a 25 1st, 26 1st, and a 25 2nd. My goal is to make the playoffs this year and be a frontrunner going into next year. Is that a good approach or am I an idiot for trading CeeDee?
That's a RIDICULOUS haul for CeeDee, who is clearly a top-5 dynasty WR for 5+ years, but 5 near-guaranteed start-worthy players is clearly a win for you.
I just traded khalil shakir, jordan addison, charbonet and pat freiermuth for Aiyuk and Jake Ferguson. Was a good trade for both of our situations. Worried not seeing him on this list
McBride is TE #1 this year. Kincaid is a glorified receiver. TreyMac is an all-around beast that reminds me of a mix of Todd Heap and Rob Gronkowski with better yac. Might even be a better cornerstone than Olave and LaPorta👀
not the same talent. Bijan was a 5 star in HS Breece was a 4 star. Bijan was a top 10 NFL draft pick. Breece was taken in the second round. The falcons have a top 5 offensive line the jets do not. They do not have the same injury history and lastly Bijan is a year younger and has a MUCH more stable QB situation moving forward.
I’d prefer you guys spend more time discussing what specifically makes you believe/doubt the public/consensus opinion on guys. U both say stuff like “obviously everyone is expecting a huge breakout, rightfully so” but I wanna know why you think that. Even if the answer is just “he passes the eye test” or something, I’d prefer to hear your unique reasons and thoughts on the “market” rankings. That’s why we are all here right?
