Who am I?
Expert singing teacher, specialising in teaching children and young adults in singing and musical theatre. She has worked with the likes of The Saturdays for MTV, on shows such as Just the Two of Us for the BBC and many more. Throughout her years of teaching she has judged in many competitions, judging Lucy Spraggan, George Samson, amongst others who have gone onto succeed in the business.
I am the founder of Vocaltutor, (founded 2003) the UK’s largest vocal and singing tuition network and now The New Foundry Studios which opened in 2013.
I have worked with BBCTV on Just the Two of Us, with many celebrities including Natasha Hamilton of Atomic Kitten, plus has worked for ITV on many children’s TV programmes including The Worst Witch, as their vocal coach.

They’ve always been incredible vocalists but this was a masterclass. They’ve never sounded as good on this track as they did right here.

Such an upward trajectory. We are proud of Leigh-Anne. Proud of the all but she's definitely polished especially her breath control that enable her to sustain and support her notes.
Perrie, Leigh-Anne, Jesy and Jade all improved as solo vocalists and improved as a group as well. Leigh Anne improved on Confidence and her belting, Perrie improved on no longer pushing past Eb5 and started mixing more above F#5, Jesy improved more on Mixing and doing mid belts and Jade improved on no longer pushing above D5 as well as confidence in belting without tensing up physically. This Era is one of their best eras ever
Jade improved a lot with her vibrato! She would struggle a lot with it at least above D5.
But Leigh? She is incredible right now, can't wait to see where that confidence and healtier belts are taking her while performing

About Leigh, I agree. I always thought that she need it more improve in her confidence, she always had the range, but perhaps she didn't believe in herself....

I think that Leigh-Anne always had such a unique voice and tone but she didn't always have the confidence to really go for it but now she knows who she is and she knows her own worth and for the last few years or so she's really shined.
Or the opportunity to show it. She barely had any parts on XFactor. Most of her parts in the first couple albums were usually parts where the others were harmonizing with her in the background or she was rapping. Very few actual solos and on most dance songs her verse would be cut for the performance. Perrie and Jade had more opportunities to show their vocal range than Leigh and Jesy

i feel like part of what made this one of their best performances of this song is that they hadn't sung it in a very long time and that let the emotional part of the song come through again. on tour they sounded divine but performing it every night can become a bit like routine to them and the emotions get a bit lost. also lockdown gave them the chance to rest their voices and that's why i feel their voices sounded so fresh on this. it was the first time in a very long time that secret love song made me cry again

I agree Leigh is so much braver now, i still think she can explore even more of her voice, lately her high notes and riffs are much more supported and they are coming with ease, she has amazing vocals that she finally is not afraid of showing them
This was their best performance of SLS to date. Leigh was the best she has ever been performing this. Jade was amazing as always and we all know Perrie smashes this every time but even she stepped it up for that last note!! She changed it where she usual slides she had a clear break and I have replayed it too many times to count!!! Best performance of this song they have ever done.

She's pointing on Leigh-Anne's part on Power (second pre-chorus). She always dodge the notes and create new rendition.

This is the era of a Consistently CONFIDENT Leigh-Anne and the vocals and emotions she gave in every performance since has been proof. The sky had to drop like confetti for her. Perrie's a consistent queen and the raw emotions in her voice will always work for this song. Jade giving us stylistic variation in her voice from the beginning. Jesy is just missing in spirit (no one does Jesy like Jessica Nelson). As you said they killed the performance vocally.

I'm ashamed to say I don't know their names but when the third singer, the middle singer in the ensemble if you will, when SHE sang I got shivers. It was beautiful transitioning. Absolutely stunning, I think Little Mix are horrendously underrated. These girls stuck with it, they didn't make a quick buck and vanish, they've persisted and grown. Stunning. Georgina, you do a brilliant run down as always, and I was feeling all the way through this.
Her name is Perrie Edwards. She has two incredible covers out. One of listen by Beyoncé and another of all by myself by celine Dion which are definitely worth checking out. Celine herself praised the cover

This SLS live performance tops. It did sound different without Jesy but it's just so satisfying. First time watching this months ago, Leigh Anne gave me goosebumps, she's glowing and effortless. Jade's voice is so so beautiful. Perrie, I mean, she delivers her parts perfectly.

Missing Jesy but I agree in that performance all three hold their own! They all have grown technically in different ways: perries control tone and range is impeccable, jade has no wobbles live anymore her control and support is spot on now, Leigh Ann her confidence and belts are getting bigger and braver; her voice is richer and adds depth to her tone of voice. They’ve grown and wish them another ten years of success or longer as they deserve it and better together, stronger together gives us all hope in their friendship and bond. They’re amazing

Secret Love Song was a good choice to sing without Jesy as there is no joint singing parts. I think when they sing without Jesy’s unique tones their harmonies feel less full.
This is hands down the best version of this song that's ever been recorded. I know fans will miss Jesy, But I am ecstatic to see this new chapter of these powerhouse best friends.
