@@Lekw2001 it’s nice to hear from you again. I’m glad you liked it now comes the arduous task of putting them back in their boxes and in the shelf and pulling out the next one.😂😂
I have been waiting for this for a while Kevin! I simply love the Age of Musketry period of history. Very nice looking forces Kevin! My personal favorite Napoleonic troop type is the French Cuirassier, Not sure what it is about them that just strikes me the right way. I think its the helmet, breast plate and their swords that is appealing to me. I've been fortunate enough to hold a real French Cuirassier sword and its quite heavy. You can tell from holding it that it is a lethal weapon. I have been mulling around the idea of trying my hand at painting the Napoleonic's so if you show more of your troops that could be some nice inspiration!
@@nordicmaelstrom4714 thank you for your lovely comment. I have a Cuirassier helmet of 1815 and I have a sword that came from the battlefield that is sword from Waterloo. You’re right it is heavy. It’s hanging on my wall. I will be putting up my whole collection of Napoleonic over the next six weeks. And some of the other armies I haven’t put up yet so stay tuned.
@@thekrausecollection15mmmin53 I am very jealous of that Kevin! The French Cuirassier is the epitome of horse and musketry era cavalry in my mind. I was almost taken aback at how heavy the sword actually is. Excellent! I love to see your beautifully painted miniatures arrayed for battle. Very inspirational to see. I actually just ordered the same visor Fritz uses for painting. I'm saving my nickles and dimes so to speak to place an order from Pendraken in a few weeks. I want to get some of their lovely 10mm Napoleonics and American War of Independence miniatures and finally push my self to get back to painting.

@@MrElliptific no I put this up just for everybody. Everybody in the hobby to get inspiration, have dialogue and actually see something painted. Maybe my grandchildren if I ever get any will look at them
Brilliant collection...................butttt.....................only the senior regiments of the corps of grenadiers & chasseurs had eagles. I.e. the 3 regiments of grenadiers a pied and 2 regiments of chasseurs a pied. The middle and young guard units had variously coloured fanions and no eagles
@@stephennutt4083 you are more than likely right. You know when you get a bag of figures from old glory or whomever I just sort out and say here’s 24 figures or here’s 48. Let’s paint these up. I knew that by putting this up I was opening up myself to getting a massive massive history lesson. I appreciate you telling me and I’ll have to go back and take a look at it. I’m going to wait four weeks to get all the comments in and then I’ll go back and make adjustments. Here is a massive hug from Atlanta.
@@thekrausecollection15mmmin53 If they are 1812 then the eagle bearing units should have the lozenge style tricolour - I think the guard only used the modern style tricolour in 1815. I found this out the hard way. Another wargamer leant over the table. Praised my painting and then pointed out how my middle and young guard units had the wrong standards.
