    This is EXACTLY what I had to do to my 03 Odyssey. I had the same burnt trace, I replaced it with a jumper wire and it is still operating. Excellent video. I pulled out the multiplexer without removing all of the plugs. Definitely a rotten location to work in. Excellent video. I just replaced my drivers door window regulator for the 3d time in 14 years, and the lock is again intermittent, this was a case of the actuator rod being bent on removal. Fixed and fixed. Thank You.

    Thank you for taking time out to make this video it’s placing me on the path of diagnosis of my 2008 Honda Pilot per locks where in cold weather or sometimes after a car wash my pet locks lock automatically in 5 seconds even with key in ignition I can pull the plunger up on driver door and two rear doors no problem but when I pull the plunger on front passenger door all doors lock and it’s intermittent driving me insane so I’m thinking of replacing multiplex on passenger side actuator is not giving any signs of being bad any thoughts or experience on this problem would be appreciated thanks

    Thanks for sharing! I just purchased a 2007 pilot and all doors won’t responde to the keyfob, even when manually clicking the lock/unlock button on each door it doesn’t do anything. Could that multiplex control board be the problem? What are the odds of all actuators failing at the same time? One thing I noticed is that the keyfob is able to unlock only the driver door but won’t lock it back. Thanks!

    Local mechanic replaced passenger side door actuator (2008 Honda CRV) but while that worked, now the tailgate wouldn't open. Then was told its the multiplex control unit that needs to be replaced as well as the latch and release handle of the tailgate. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? Did the MCU fail at the same time or was it something the mechanic caused during door actuator repair?

    Hello, thank you very much for the video. I have a Oyssey EX 2009. I would like to tell a problem that I have. There is crazy behavior on the passenger side door and the right sliding door, they keep the light on, only happen on wet or very cold days. The door jamb light switches are good and also the passenger door latch is difficult to pull or push. Do you think it could be the passenger multiplex control unit or just the actuator? Thanks again

    So my 2011 MDX doesn't lock/unlock most of the doors using the door lock button or fob. The other thing that it does is the driver eat memory and mirrors won't adjust properly. The driver 1 and 2 key have the capability of memory to each key. The other thing that won't work is the cargo door switch. Would this go along with this diagnosis?

    @JamesonDIY - thanks for useful info on multiplex control unit, very little info available on youtube regarding this topic. Most of the videos talk about replacing of actuator. My honda pilot has a tricky locking issue - only the rear passenger side lock is not working but driver side and other doors are working fine. I ruled out actuator issue, the actuator is working good. So in that case could it still be a multiplex issue or wiring issue? Any advise will be really time saving. Thanks in advance,

    Hi saw your video very helpful, however I would like to know if you help with the following. I have honda accord 2007. The key remote does not operate, also the power switch, seat adjustment, window adjustment will only work with the ignition on. The radio and clock does not work at all.
    Could it be a multiplex issue? Thanks

    • @AppalachianDIY
      @AppalachianDIY  5 лет назад

      The power windows should only work with the key on, unless you just turn the ignition off and haven't opened the door. I think they will work then for a short time. The rest of the issues could be multiplex related or BCM. I can look at a wiring diagram and see what they have in common, if anything. What is the exact model EX, LX, etc? and the engine size?

      JamesonDIY I think I'm going to start with the driver lock switch, because the passenger window refused to unlock and roll down. After being totally fustrated with this lock issue I used the caveman hand and the pass window has been working since. No clicks are present on the door lock relay unless the key is in the ignition (engine off) and the doors are locked.

    We have a 2011 Honda Pilot and have had some door locks replaced. Now the failure to open is happening again. It always seems to trigger the tailgate and back rear passenger door locks to not unlock. For us, it seems to be temperature sensitive. When the weather changes from warm to cold is when we are having the problems. Same thing happened before we had the other locks replaced. Anyone find the temperature affecting the locks?
