Great call turning back. The desert must be respected. I live on the coast of California and every summer the tourists come and have no idea how strong the ocean current can be and some drown. Mother Nature is not to be underestimated.
Buttermilk Apache Tear and Staying Cool!!!
Thanks for watching. Buttermilk biscuits!
i was in arizona for a few months years ago. the temperatures in june often go to 115 degrees. being outside in that heat is no joke and will hurt you if you're reckless....
Good call to get out of the heat and be safe! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🛻🛻🛻🛻🛻🛻
Yes Captain trust your gut. Wisdom learned from your prior experiences builds character and long life. Be wise, be safe and enjoy the pool when it's hot my friend. 🌊 ⛱️ 🏜️
Those are wise words! I love that.
I use to hike all over Arizona. I’m a native of this state. It really can be very dangerous hiking in the heat. I found some Apache Tears in superior Arizona. Great video
You could pull it off next time start really early in the morning.. 5am? Interesting story.
Sometimes you have to choose not to carry on my wayward son. 🎸👍
Kansas rules
We’re all just dust in the wind…dude.
It’s good that you know your body to the point of making that decision!
Once you've suffered from heat stroke once, it's easier to suffer again... good call turning around!
I was so relieved when you decided to turn back!!! Even though I was hooked, excited to where you were taking us, so close to destination....great in the moment capture of that crossroad.
Yeah that Summer Desert Sun does not fuck around!!!
You know what's up Coz! The summer sun doesn't mess around.
Man the desert 🏜 is no joke especially this time of year!! Good call CGK. Stoked for when you go back.
Understood. Weather apps called for a high of 100° yesterday, didn’t seem that hot cause the humidity is usually over 90%, & it was like half that. Vision got all wanky. Made it back to the truck & it was 110°!
But wanted to hear the story!
I may not be around come winter. Or I might be around & you might not… or neither of us. Or maybe we will. Who knows?
Anyway, glad you didn’t chance it.
Good vid and info anyway bro, I've been here all my life and have never heard that story and it was pretty cool. Can't take any chances under a heat warning in Arizona, especially when you're alone 🌵 🌞 nice pool!
Big tease!!!! HAHAHHA just playing better safe then sorry Keep hydrated and press on
Hello. Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Very nice save it for the winter time
That cave is pretty cool. It's surrounded by barbed wire fence. I ended up missing rhe turn when I went and hiked super far into that canyon before realizing it. We hiked back then made the turn and the cave is only like 1/4 mile from that spot. Plenty of shade there too.
Thats the spot! The sun is just too overwhelming currently, but I'll totally be back for round 2 in a couple months.
I carry water in my Jeep in case it breaks down out there. Just going 10 miles Offroad in air conditioning and walking back can kill you.
That is definitely smart
The trail and the surroundings are simply perfect for hiking.( except for the summer months😀😀) 👌👌
MEOW.....🐈
When in doubt, turn back. Great video, Nick!
I got heatstroke while in my open Jeep on a trail in Death Valley.
How have you not gotten a SxS yet?
Later today (115*) we are going on a trail ride. I live 30 minutes from Death Valley.
You heal up fast - that's great.
Sup Capt. Just letting you know I got an ad for a butt deodorant company on this video. Not sure if that says something about me, or you, or both our butts, but apparently we stink.
Keep preserving, brother.
Lol, must be you, I get coffee, bra, mens soap, and prostate commercials. Im not a man! Best wishes to you, lol.
@@silka9187 you can't smell my butt from here, right?? 😥
With age comes wisdom, allowing for more age. You made the right call, but I wonder, if you had a big black umbrella and a lot of water, would you have been able to make it, or is sun not the point? Is the heat itself too much, even if there was shade?
Actually, an umbrella would be a good idea. I never really thought of that to be honest.
Hey Capt. what was the site you use for music and sound effect in editing?
I linked it at the bottom of the description
@@CaptainGnarkill thank you for responding. Stay cool.🤙
The pandemic has really made everything unbearable and things are really getting out of control.
The F.E.D can't even control this particular moment, this is making the world financial state unstable.
I think that investment in different streams of income that doesn't depends on the govt to operate is the best solution to stay stable
