Fellow game finisher here, appreciated that you brought up managing time inside and outside the game jam. I also used Construct 3 for the jam, and still almost ran out of time lol. Great video, glad you were able to submit a game this year :)
Good job, i like the general art direction specially when the character was small. I think is a unique idea, maybe something you can continue to explore. I do like you did it in Construct, I love that engine but I could never get the polish right so good for you for getting way further than I ever did :)
Congrats on finishing the game jam! I feel like i make similar mistakes each time. I dont have a solid gameplay prototype and immediately jump to art / polish. Always fun to complete the game even if it doesn't meet the expectations we had for it at the start. Anywho great devlog!
This art in this game was bootifool haha (her husband really be cooking up some contraptions). I made Bills & Bouquets with Caleb Gilbert and my god was it stressful lol (thank god there was that hour extension!!!).
Nice job! I was out of town so I missed the GMTK game jam unfortunately. I'll make sure to do the Brackeys game jam next month! But great job finishing, as a solo dev myself, I know how challenging that can be.
Man, the artstyle is literally the best, I LOVE IT. It's just the kind of hand-drawn artstyle I was looking for. Could you mention what art program and brushes you use?
Super cool to see someone using blenders grease pencil for games! Been messing around with it and it's been pretty fun. Was wondering how you got the graphics so clean though? Whenever I export my sprites they come out super compressed and pixel looking
In the render settings you can change the size of the rendered images. It doesn’t affect the brushes or the actual size of the canvas but changes the quality of the images. I had mine on 800x800 and it worked pretty good for my game
- Made a game for GMTK 2024 - default to puzzle platformers - suffering during the artistic process yeah I think I'm literally you lmao. congrats on finishing your game!
in the second game fly guy should meet the old ladys husband and he should make a Size watch and give it to fly guy and then the player could press a button to shrink or grow :)
I made a game with unreal and had to re-code the whole movement system last second :). So we ended up not having enough JUICE™ and the lvls where very basic
bro did u forgot to upload the video. Cuz i found a link to the develog video in ur game description. However can't belive u were able to create that much levels😲😲 but the sound effect was so loud when the player get resized. Nice job buddy
i feel like the topic was difficult, of course you can play on the word "scale", but it's hard to play around " build to" , like you build, or you are made to scale ?
The only reason was because I stopped paying for construct 3 since it’s a subscription. And I didn’t want to start again for just 1 game jam, so I used c2 which I already have the full version of
Awesome art style! Thanks for taking part in the jam!

Nice work! Just played through your game and it was pretty fun!
Fantastic twist on the theme! The art looks amazing.
I had some fun with the game and even more fun watching your video. You're funny!
I love the art style, so cute! The gameplay looks like a lot of fun. Congrats on finishing something for the jam, that part is always the toughest! :)
Absolutely incredible ✨

I love the fly platforms haha.
I lost it at "now I need actual game"
No way! The frog game was you! I played that game when I did Paint Jam that year lol
Yo! What are the chances haha
Hi fellow. Your game looks so good. Your cartoony style reminds me a bit of mine. Congratulations on finishing your game. I'll try it.
Coming back with a banger! Honestly tho, after two years your video quality has only improved!
thank you! trying to keep improving every video 💯
Fellow jammer here! Congrats on your game! Looks awesome.
It reminded me of a game I used to play when I was young called Mr Tinny

Your game was awesome! Loved it
Really unique art style, congrats on finishing! 🎉
haha appreciate you!
Glad to see you pulled through! I'm so proud of my game, but man was it a struggle to finish!
congrats on finishing!

Same. Maybe we should organize a 2nd chance GMTK game jam.
Oh boy the brackeys jam is coming up! Round 2 baby
Such a unique idea! Good job!
"Because I did it alone."
Incredibly based.
Great video! I struggled with the theme, love your art style
Thanks!
Yoooo finally a channel that’s relatable
Man, the artstyle is literally the best, I LOVE IT. It's just the kind of hand-drawn artstyle I was looking for. Could you mention what art program and brushes you use?
I actually used blender with the 2d animation preset and the default grease pencil brushes !

I played your game and for me it was Hard , i suck at 2d platformer but i finished it and enjoyed it . Thanks
I made the opposite - one where you play as pest. Specifically a locust swarm.
that sounds like a super good idea, dang!
I had a pretty similar roller coaster experience haha but at least it was fun(and it finished)
So underated
I crammed and was able to qualify for the jam.

I suck at finishing games, but I subscribed anyway.

Just found the channel, really good. Hope your indie game studio "pending" goes well. ❤😂🎉😢😮😮😊😶🌫️😶🌫️😨😰😱🥶
glad you’re here! Thank you haha
I made a game with unreal and had to re-code the whole movement system last second :). So we ended up not having enough JUICE™ and the lvls where very basic
dang, that’s so tough. at least you got it done!

I wish I could've participated in this year's jam, too much stuff in the way.. :(
this one wasn't half bad.
Lettts goooooo
I cant remember if you metoned it in a previous vid, but why do you use construct 2 instead of 3?
The only reason was because I stopped paying for construct 3 since it’s a subscription. And I didn’t want to start again for just 1 game jam, so I used c2 which I already have the full version of

Ur small in a world of bugs and big spikes!?!?! HOLLOW KNIGHT CLONE!!!!!
you got me. I can’t help it
I may or may not have a crush on you
why the fuck did the width go negative after mirroring
for some reason that’s how construct 2 handles their mirroring function. i also just discovered that 😐

Teams are always desperately looking for artists
