I’ll be voting for ‘Voy a Quedarme,’ I think it’s better than ‘Universo’ and ‘Memoria’ for sure. The lyrics are really beautiful, but I would like to see them change the production a bit to maybe give it more of a ‘moment’. Either way, good luck España! ☺️
Being a Spanish Eurofan is hard because every year we try to excuse these songs that don't go anywhere. At least we are used to being last. 🙃
I really liked last year one. And there were some which were robbed in past 10 years. But some were terrible ;-) This one is good, but I can not 'grab it' so to speak. No idea why.

The song was written after the death of his father from cancer and a few months after the death of his grandfather from Covid19, it is a song that is a faithful reflection of what has happened in many families in the world this year, I wish you good luck Blas Cantó and I hope he is very lucky in Eurovision 2021, he is a great singer and deserves a good position.
This s the right option,it's what Blas delivers better even in the studio version!
Lyrically is also a better one but yeah it needs an amazing staging to stand out!

I personally liked "Voy a quedarme" with it Blas Cantó manages to sing in all his tonalities, maybe in the track you feel that needs to grow a bit more, however wait for his performance in Eurovison. Blas is a very talented artist and he will surprise us with his staging and vocals.
I mean this is what Blas' music is about, it's good for the radio but not competitive at all.

I like this better than Memoria. "Voy a quedarme" reminds me to a very famous Spanish singer, Pablo Alboran.

You are totally right... it’s hard to admit it as a Spanish but it’s true...beautiful song but nothing else, not for this contest, nothing new. It’s a pitty cause Blas is a great singer🥲. I hope one year soon we send a flamenco-type song (even if I’m from the north and doesn’t necessarily fit us here) but I think Europe can’t compete with us on that and we would be adding some value 😂😂👋🏼 nice reaction!!

Better of the two, predictable and harmless but really nice to listen to. I didn’t like Universo, so for me this is stronger than last year should they send it. With good staging, I could see a Top 15 finish maybe?
Voy a Quedarme gives me Lights & Shadows (Netherlands 2017) vibes tbh. So if the staging and performance of Voy a Quedarme is good then there is a possibility that Spain can get 11th (probably not higher).
Spain always sends songs that they think work and then never work. We never get votes. This year with Voy a quedarme we are proud. If the result is bad we are used. Thank you.
It's really sad because Spain never gets votes even when it's a decent song. I loved La Venda and actually thought it would end up in the top 15 but people often oversee Spain's potential. This year it's going to be difficult but Voy a quedarme is definitly the safer choice.
@@ellawinberg1 Sometimes we think about retiring. But the eurovision night has a large audience and that is why we continue to participate, although for us it is a tough stick every year.

@@rubenikoo6 I think Spain and Portugal should make a check list of what a song needs to be competitive for the festival. Been just a nice song is not enough, they should be memorable and need to have a good staging. I am not saying is an easy task.... And i hope Spain keeps singing in spanish on every edition of the festival!
bottom 5 material...nothing new, just boring
Over the last decade, Spain have impressed me a lot - Pastora, Miki, Ruth and Barei. Full of colour.
These two songs though? ... so disappointing and grey.
It won't lead us to Madrid 2022, but at least is decent
To me none from the 2 songs are better than Universo.. But from those 2, this song is definitely better..

too safe of a song, not a competition song for Eurovision. I heard both and it´s like choosing to eat raw pork or raw chicken, neither of them work for me. Spain bottom 5 again..... Frustrated again with their entries. I which they´ll proposed the other songs they tossed away. When it comes to songs that convey emotions Kazakhstan's entry for Junior Eurovision blows this song out of the water and Universo. This and Memoria are very mediocre to last of the pack for Eurovision. They're tracks that are great if we are promoting Blas Canto's new album which is what I think that's what we are doing here. But, as a Eurovision entry... Spain is saying (Voy A Quedarme) in last place and these songs won't even stay in your (Memoria). To be honest Memoria as a Eurovision entry it's miles better than Voy A Quedarme in the sense that it sounds like a Non-qualifier from Mellofest or Melodi Grand Prix. So, it will cover a wider audience appeal. As a song that is tailored only for a Spanish Audience, Voy A Quedarme resonates better lyrically.
That is because RTVE (the spanish public television) does not want to win Eurovision, it's so expensive. Junior Eurovision is cheaper, so they try it harder.

Buuut, dear Luis, you might get your wish since voting is open to international votes and Voy A Quedarme does better with Spanish Speakers. There's more Latin Americans than Spaniards. This is better than Memoria. I like it but it’s not a killer song. Even when Spain send great songs, they score badly so this one won’t do well at Eurovision.
Definitely 100 times better "Voy a quedarme" than "memoria". It needs a revamp, I'm agree with that. But after years and years of trying to offer to Europe what it's supposed Europe was asking us for we are tired of putting effort and being underrated and misunderstanded. If Europe is going to make us feel as shit the best option is to send the most predictable, correct and standard Eurovisión ballad because we just want a final good result at the contest. That's what happens when you've been bullied so many years, that you lose the illusion and interest. And you know what I'm talking about 'cos for sure you remember really well your attitude with Barei or other of our singers.
This song in my country is something we hear every single day. But I'm not sure this is that common in Europe. He's SO SOFT, the lyrics, everything; this is honest and we can tell. And I feel this will be huge on stage.
Blas can make this work.

How is it possible that a country with such a romantic and danceable language as the Spanish language is not able to make a song that will knock us to our knees like the songs of Enrique Iglesias or Luis Fonsi or other Latin American singers and bands? @@arianam9977 people are mainly referring to the spanish pop scene anyway - rosalia, c. tangana, maria jose llergo... even enrique iglesias to a degree. spain has amazing flamenco-inspired songs and artists, but we get a ballad and a not-very-pop pop song instead of some of the really cool stuff that spain can obviously produce 😬 i'm british and the same thing happens here, it's really irritating lmao

It is not bad ... I just feel I have listened to similar songs thousands time on the radio. Very indistinctive, middle of the road and overall forgettable with no fresh ideas to it. He has got much better songs that were not for ESC and he's a good vocalist so it's a pity.

3:03 this is good part that needs to be in the end of the song,but the rest,instrumental,the chorus and verses are nothing special and forgettable,only spanish language makes them sound more beautiful

I'm pleasantly surprised how much of the songs I understood with the lyric videos, considering I haven't spoken or translated Spanish in 4 years- since I finished my GCSE 😂
Also I can kinda understand the relevance to his family's recent tragic losses when reading the full translated lyrics, but without context, at least to someone like me, whose second language is Spanish (even if I'm not that fluent), this doesn't come across. They will need to do something with staging to present this message to non-Spanish speakers for this to do well I think
Y'all. At this point we just don't wanna lose. I love this song and I loved Miki's but no matter how much we love them they never win so I'm glad they're at least giving us spaniards songs that we like. (I still hope we win tho. I truly love this 🎶💕)

In Spain a lot of music is made, and this is also Spain. You have quite little Spanish musical culture.
Blas's style is this. All the styles that we carry are made in our country. We are not just dance. Each artist has their own style and you can't tell them to go make dance music if it's not their thing. Furthermore, many important artists in our country do not want to go to Eurovision.
We do a lot of ballads, a lot of pop. The Wiwi do not give one with Spain any year. In 2018 his top 1 were Amaia and Alfred, for example. You have a lot of complexes with Spain. The songs will not be competitive for Eurovision but they are ours. We want to go with some dance but the big artists don't want to go and the rest offer bad dance songs.
The synchronicity on the bit where William says "Ooh...paired back" for Deban to say "so paired back!"
I'm with William on this one. Its such a generic ballad. The lyrics are lovely but it'll be lost on the big night.

If this had to qualify for a spot in the final it wouldn't make it. Forgettable.
Those saying that Spain has no chance to win with this song, or Memoria, can go mind their own bussiness. This is what Blas Cantó sounds like, it's him in a song. He doesn't need to change anything to "fit" in Eurovision, Voy a quedarme is such a beautiful and moving song, and Memoria is kinda catchy and I found it pretty good too, if he doesn't win with them it's ok, but after that Toy song won in it's year I'm hugely dissapointed and cannot trust Europe for the poor musical taste those who vote have (not saying the message from that song was bad, but listening to it hurts because of it's horrible rythm)

Talk for yourself. I'm from Spain too and I don't want to be represented by any of these two songs. I would love Spain to send, for once, a really good song that actually has chances of winning. But this will be just a dream one more year.... We'll end up bottom 5 again and we will have to be happy with that according to some eurofans 😒😒
