I am of the real generation. YMO was formed in 1969 with Haruomi Hosono's group "Happiendo" and has been the backing band for many works under the name Caramel Mama since 1973. The song "Yellow Magic Carnival" is one of their songs. From there the name Yellow Magic Orchestra was formed. 私が43年前にリアルに聴いてましたよ、今でもよく聴いています、もう生の演奏は聴けませんがCDをたくさん持ってるから大丈夫です。
初めてYMOを聴いたとき衝撃を受けました。当時世界ツアーで大成功を収めたのは日本のバンドでYMOが初めてだったのではないでしょうか。音楽はもちろんファッションやヘアスタイルまで当時の若者に影響を与え日本中がYMOブームでした。
ヤクザまでもみあげカットしてましたね。😅。

絶望です…、坂本龍一さんが、全ての日本の音楽家の精神的支柱として少なからず、世界で認められた最初の(最初で最後の)ミュージシャンとして存在していた事は確かです。小室哲哉、槇原敬之、現代のポップスを題材とするミュージシャンに多大な影響を及ぼした事は否定出来ません。残った作品群は、時が通り過ぎても、永遠に残り続けます。

この1979年8月、グリークシアターでの演奏の時代、自動演奏は出来てもせいぜい数千音。
二・三曲の打ち込み分データをカセットテープで読み出し、クリックと自動演奏分二つのパートくらいしか出来なかった。
リズムガイドはあるので、後は人間がいかに機械に合わせ狂わないように演奏するかの真剣勝負。
坂本龍一の使っているメインはPoly Moogでプリセット音を加工することしか出来ず、サブ機のアープオデッセイは音色記録機能さえないモノフォニックシンセ。
自動演奏分の曲目が終われば、またテープでデータを読み出すのに一曲完全同期無し、完全な生演奏を挟まねばならない。
これはそういう時代の今のようなテクノロジーが花開く前のライブ。
