So I started this literally the day after the series finale, and this was supposed to come out in June- then at the half-way through mark I got major burn-out and only started working on it again in August, rip. I'm not entirely proud of this project, but I'm calling it done anyways because i think its starting to be detrimental to my health stressing about how "perfect" it needs to look T-T
I'm still very pleased with the parts that came out well, and i hope everyone still cares about toh so this video doesn't go completely under the radar?? just. the six months on this. holy hell this was certainly a labor of love skskskskssksks

i just wanna say this is the best owl house animatic i have ever seen and just one of my favorite pieces of fan content in general, its criminal this hasent blown up yet and i really hope it does because everyone should see it. theres so much i want ti say about this but i dont even know if i have the words to because im kind of overwhelmed by the amount of detail and the emotions this makes me feel it is so dense in the perfect way that i can pick it apart for hours, you put so so much effort into the symbolism of communicating luz’s journey and its so beautiful, the song is absolutely perfect like i dont know how such a perfect song for luz had existed this long without being used, it communicates her unending kindness so perfectly . i adore your art style and the colors aaaa are so fucking amazing, this video inspires me as an artist and as a person, it reminds me of why luz’s character and her journey is so important to me, i have watched this so many times and i have teared up every single time, thank you for this video it is an amazing work of art

Oh my gosh! This is absolutely fantastic! There is so much I love about this! The colours! The expressions, like Luz's absolute giddy joy finding Adagast's fake staff, Amity's laughter, Luz's heartbreaking depression, and Hunter's fear when Belos shows his true colours. The section about Eda and Lilith growing apart and coming back together, which was so freaking well done, especially with Lilith not turning her back while the curse was affecting Eda, only really doing so once she joined the coven. The nightmare that the Collector put Luz through!
I wish I could grab you by the shoulders and shake you while explaining this entire video frame by frame and how and gushing about how amazing each one is cuz there is so much love and care put into every moment and it's so freaking good!!!! You are absolutely fantastic!

I definitely took WAY too much time on every individual frame (whether it's the ocd telling me "it's gotta be perfect!!" or the ADHD making me dawdle, it was *a lot* of tweaking things and meandering lmao) but im soso glad it was worth it and struck a chord with you!! Wonderful work on this and an even more wonderful tribute to this lovely show!! All the colors were gorgeous, the animation was absolutely astounding, and the entire thing was just breathtaking all at the same time.
From Luz's intial excitement about being in a brand new world, to finding others who truly understood her along the way, gaining a bigger family as a whole over time, and everything else in between was marvelous!
I could explain way more in depth about why each moment is wonderful, but I honestly don't think I have enough words that could suffice. What I'm trying to say is that you did an awesome job and are spectacular!!

I forgot to comment! I just want to say this is one of the best TOH animatics I have ever seen, I could not praise this enough. I’m trying to bring attention to it because it should not fly under the radar. You chose the perfect song for Luz. I don’t know how you managed to fit so much content into this animatic while never making it feel overwhelming. All of Luz’s journey and the kindness she shows others, to her emotional shattering and then her regained hope. I teared up when Amity sang the song back to her during the human realm sequence of the animatic. This animatic reminds me of why Luz is such an inspiration and role model to me, you captured her journey so well. I love how you show the events passing in different ways, from the walking sequence at the beginning, the two running silhouette moments, and then Papa Titan watching it all. It keeps it interesting and fresh, it’s emotionally and visually compelling. And the art style is incredible for it. So many little details, both fun and emotional. I’ve already lost count of how many times I’ve watched this and I’m sure it’ll be many more. This is a treasured animatic.

The song choice, all the times it's said "I believe in you" being like, Luz's theme, believing in others
And at the end a frame with Amity, Lilith, Hunter and Collector being all people she has forgiven

I love how it demonstrates the journey of luz and every character, it shows how far everyone has come! The art and animation by the way is STUNNING! I have no idea how people animate run cycles!
