My roommate bought the wrong type of squid when I asked for a "dried squid snack", I tried eating it but it was just too hard to chew so I followed this recipe and made this instead! The batter is so crunchy and tasty! If I make it again next time I will soak the squid for longer because mine was still a bit chewy. Thanks for the great recipe!

이모!!! I'm in Waegwan and I've been here since December. Because of your awesome videos, I have no problem shopping for and cooking with Korean ingredients. I make my own kimchi and Koreans are always surprised at that. Sunday evening I went to a party with my neighbors (Koreans like to sit downstairs on big mats and have a weekly community potluck). I took some kimchi for them to try, to get their opinion. It's so good they asked for my recipe and I am going to be having the young girls over next month for a little kimchi making party. My kimchi is good because I am not Korean. I mean, I don't have any rules to my kimchi. I make some really spicy, I make some really sour, some is sweet and sour. They have traditions and they are used to thinking of kimchi one way. Because I didn't grow up with it, I can make kimchi without worrying if it's right or not. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach the world about Korean food. If you were in Korea, I would give you an onggi full of kimchi.
