    Thanks for making part of my childhood better Chuck - from a Denver boy who's been shopping for memories for decades! :D

    Thanks for putting this out there into the world. Two positive forces in the universe that attract rather than repel. I needed this today.

      We all do. Kevin and Chuck are two guys who understand comic books are fun, artistically and culturally important in society.

    I could totally see Kevin walking into the store and falling to his knees - like Randall did in Clerks when he walked into the “good movie store.”

      I love seeing little episodes of the folks who participate in the work. Grading and cataloging and recording, for example. I also love the multitude of generations going down the paths of imagination and creativity.

    I love that Chuck always sticks up for Stan Lee and has so many anecdotes that disprove all the bitter detractors out there now trying to retroactively destroy Stan's legacy. So many of them, unfortunately, are Kirby obsessives.

    • @yalbad5160
      @yalbad5160 Год назад +1

      Yeah, alot of many have good things to say about Stan. Kirby & Ditko are about the only ones to be hostile towards him

    • @GodLovesComics
      @GodLovesComics Год назад

      @@yalbad5160 Yeah, Jack Kirby was an artistic genius but Stan is who dubbed him the "King" and sung Kirby's praises constantly. But I think Roz in particular fueled Jack's bitterness in his later years and he said and did some very nasty things regarding Stan. Now for some reason, Kirby fans feel that the only way they can truly lionize their hero is by further demonizing Stan and Vince Coletta. It's pathetic.

    • @yalbad5160
      @yalbad5160 Год назад

      @@GodLovesComics
      He apparently mellowed out on his anti-Stan feelings towards his final years. I agree,the Vinnie Coletta bashing is unwarranted.

    • @GodLovesComics
      @GodLovesComics Год назад

      @@yalbad5160 It was pretty much when Kirby had become a bit senile and had Roz like a harpy on his shoulder interjecting "his" thoughts into the conversation that Kirby said Stan never wrote a word and couldn't even spell. Of course noted Stan-hater Gary Groth (who was conducting the interviewer) never once said "C'mon Jack, surely Stan wrote dialogue. Stan did a lot of writing before he was left editing a line of dozens of books by himself." Imagine if Stan had ever said "Jack never drew a single line, it was all drawn by assistants." Or if he had ever parodied Kirby as viciously as Kirby's Funky Flashman "parody."
