  • Romeo Oriogun has just been shortlisted for the $100,000 Nigeria Prize for Literature for his book, Nomad. he is also the author of Sacrament of Bodies, a finalist for the Lambda Award for Poetry.
    His poems have appeared in the New Yorker, Poetry Magazine, Harvard Review, and others.
    He has received fellowships and support from Ebedi International Writers Residency, Harvard University, Hutchins Center for African and African American Research, Oregon Institute for Creative Research, and the IIE- Artist Protection Fund.
    Finalist for The Future African Prize for Literature, he is the Winner of the Poetry Society of America’s Alice Fay Di Castagnola Award, The Chukwu Prize for Poetry, and the 2017 Brunel International African Poetry Prize. An alumnus of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop where he won the Logan Prize for Poetry, he currently lives in Ames where he is a Postdoctoral Research Associate. #RomeoOriogun #nlng #WorldStageTelevision
