HI,
It totally depends what kind of project you are looking for , if you want to hands on then i would prefer build a simple static website and host it on S3 , try to use cloudfront as an CDN network to get better performance across your websites.
Static website code available over internet which you can download and update as per your best requirement.
Also you can watch how to host static website on my channel , its already. available and i have tried to keep it as simple as i can..
