Stringed, bowed, chordal instruments with similar timbres to an accordion. Used throughout the piece. This is William Christie in orchestra right?
He is a very promising singer, with a great sound, and I don't say that easily, since I am not fond of the countertenor voice. I much prefer a full-bodied contralto. However, I would love to hear him sing Or La Tromba. I think he would do a fantastic job.

No, conductor and harpsichordist is Emmanuelle Haim. This instrument calls "lirone".
