Sabaton - The Final solution
Grievous was a strangely broken man for all of the power he had during the war. He couldnt help his people, he had lost his body, and was constrained to a shell of a cyborg. In a strange way, its very similar to Anakins transformation to Darth Vader
it is. the idea was similar. but the point was that Grievous lost everything before he changed. Vader lost everything because he changed.
its been said that in some ways Grievous was a prototype for many of the techniques and equipment uses in the creation of Darth Vader. Both were cyborgs and were often considered more machine than man.
the fact he had legitimate grievances against the republic and a real reason to hate them and the jedi made him a much better character. The best villain is one you can sympathize with or respect.
Thuzan That would explain how Obiwan Kenobi was always polite to him.
That is what the George Lucas approved of.

well and what i know the republic basically fucked his entire race over and for some reason they fought eachother, grevious joined the sith to try to get revenge for what they did
June Hollybell yeah it was a rivalry between the Kaleesh (grievous’ species) and the Huk. The republic and Jedi council took the side of the huk and assisted them against the kaleesh so yeah the republic basically fucked over grievous’ entire race hence why he joined Dooku.

@@erikthomsen4768 It's the same as if Leia forgave the Empire for destroying Alderaan. And I think this is what brought together the opponents of the Empire and showed that peace and compromise are no longer possible. We must fight to the end to take revenge and destroy the regime.
@@erikthomsen4768 Indeed, the Russians and the allies were very generous if they did not exterminate Germany after world war II. But grievous's people were of a different race, and he could afford to show no sympathy for insect pests. I don't see any reason why he shouldn't have taken his revenge to the end.
Grevius murdered the Jedi and the enslavers who were still enslaving his race.
He then sold his body and soul to save his planet from the bankruptcy driven by the Jedi.
Finally when he no longer owned it he began to make "mistakes" enslaving people and attacking civilians who had nothing to do with it.
But there it was no longer his will, really his. He was drugged and manipulated.
So if when Grevius could give his opinion, he didn't do anything wrong.

Grievous is definitely a supervillain who didn't reach his full potential. Wouldn't it be great if you thought that he had the force, while even this state of him allows him to easily kill most of the Jedi?

At 1:30 the song goes: "ever since it startet on Kristallnacht 38" not "in this town the thirty eight" becouse the Kristallnacht is the name vor an event in 1938 where the hate towards the jews in the german reich reached its peak. It's called Kristallnacht (eng. Crystal night) becouse all the broken glas from the shops and windows of jewish shops and homes looked literaly like Crystal in the light of the torches.

The reason I said that is because of the subject it is surrounding and some may attack it (in this day and age) for that while some praise it. I personally praise it but I can cut the other way (in hindsight I should have said "double edge sword")

she's technically Dooku's apprentice but in reality she's hardly a sith and is more of a tool, much the same as Count Dooku in relation to Palpatine.

This is a song about the holocaust. This is inappropriate and misuse of the song.

1. Dooku is Hitler.
2. The Jedi are the Jews.
3. Grievous and the Jedi both used to be citizens of the Republic just like how Hitler was turning on Jews of even his own country.
4. Dooku convinced Grievous that the Jedi had caused his accident that was the reason why he became a cyborg when Dooku actually caused the accident. The Jedi had also been manipulated into attacking Grievous' people when if theJddi had actually understood what was going on they wouldn't have attacked them. Hitler blamed the Jews for the Great Depression striking Germany. This claim had some merit since Jews were often bankers and the Great Depression was a result of the stock market collapsing, but I don't believe he had actual proof of this. Like how Dooku had no proof that the Jedi attacked Grievous since Dooku was lying. Both Grievous' and the German people believed these claims because they were already biased to believe it in the first place. Which leads me to my next point below.
5. Grievous, the Droid army, and the Separatist represent the German people. Both the Separatists and the Germans were angry about how the Republic (the League of Nations) had treated them. The Separatists were angry about the corruption in the Republic's government and the Germans were angry about the repartations the League of Nations placed on them at the end of World War 1. The Droid Army are the Nazis who unleash war and the Holocaust or in the case of Star Wars go to war with the Republic and hunt Jedi. Grievous is the Gespato who hunted the Jews whereas he hunts Jedi.
If that's not good enough for you, your being too picky and sensitive. There have been a lot of massacres in history and I don't see why the Holocaust should get special treatment.
Star Wars has highlighted many underscored details of modern history.
General Grievous shows traits of a once honorable man. But all we see here is the aggressive mass murder. You mentioned a tragedy. The video highlights the true cause behind the effect.
The monster. The general. The message.
