I'm happy you decided to make the jump. We'll be here with you every step of the way. Aging up is such a fun part of the game. You learn so much more about the game and unlock more space for your city to grow. Much love brother!
Hey Bardo, good to see you back! I'm in a similar position to you, I've done almost 6 months in Future, and contemplating whether I'm willing to do the slog through AF and OF yet. I'm currently holding off until I've cleared through the OF map (currently on map 5 of 6) before I commit to the move, but I'd suggest you need to clear through the AF map (if you've not already) so you can access the Promethium mining sites straight away rather than having to wait until you've unlocked the relevant sectors on the continent map. My SC is 100 and my AI is 105 so I'm more than ready on that front, to get more out of the ship. A tip for you. I know you were only doing some relatively minor moves on your city in this video, but if you'd have gone into City Construction mode, you could have temporarily "stored" your CoA and CdM to better see your sentinel towers to move them down into your free land expansion in the south (or later your AI to put the sentinels back again). Then just apply the city layout once you'd done that and you'd be ready for the SC and AI to be placed. I'll be watching your next video with interest to see what it's like at the start of AF, as everyone you talk to is a veteran of it and long clear so please post your move and initial progress!
@@BardoFarkins No! I ended up having an efficiency drive along with the help of one of my guild mates to try to crack the 130 attrition marker. Managed to add about 500% more red attack and defence through storing some older event buildings and can now hit 160 attrition in Future. Have additionally levelled my CF from 100 to 120 and currently working on my SV up from 100 to 120 (now at 110). So I've been keeping myself busy - the move to AF remains on the back burner for a while longer! If you make a video about AF and sending out the ship, mining the sites, repairing the ship, and upgrading your crew I think that would be really helpful as I've not found anyone else with a video on that yet.
@@WillPittRFC You’ve done very well! What you have described is a good example of how it generally pays off to be patient and take our time through most ages. I am making the jump to OF soon and planning for the next video to be about my experience in AF. Thanks for the update!
Bro when I moved up to AF, I raged the SC and the IA Core to level 70 , moved to the OF , deleted the SC , rage it again to 70, after that I deleted it for the 3rd time and raged it again and I was in MARS in about 2 weeks , while in mars and all other higher ages I was waiting to earn the oricalcum and prometium and when I was ready to move up , i was using like 500-1000 diamonds on the biggest asteroid for ore needed in space ages , using this tenique I moved from FE to last era (titan at that time) in about 2 months , it's a bit costy but it takes what it takes if you want to play on a old world as a new player and still be competitive
This is an intriguing idea, and I can see how it would work. I don't see myself doing any more camping, like I did in FE, and PE, for a long time...At the same time, I don't think I want to speed rush through them either....I don't know. Anyhow - thanks for sharing this strategy. It gives me (an others) something to consider. Thanks for watching and sharing.
Considerations re advancing into a new era now (late September 2024): 1. the upcoming Fellowship event has one quest to pay some specific Goods of your current era. 2. The Rival challenges also include quests to win some number of negotiations in a row. If GBG is not in session, you will need to do those in GE, and try to do them in the early levels, as GE level 4 and 5 negotiations can require special goods - and you might not have enough in stock. There are alternative conditions I think (winning battles?) for most negotiation quests. 3. The 2nd Fellowship Rival may require producing previous era units. Do not update ALL your event buildings that produce units!
Hey Bardo, I noticed that are some buildings in your city that don't need road, but are connected to them. The city view in FoE has a checkbox to show buildings that don't need road, you may want to check this out
Right, thanks for mentioning. Yep, I realize this but don't have alot of options for where to move them. The new expansions from aging up will help, so we will see. I see a city rebuild coming soon. Thanks!
@@BardoFarkins I spent weeks with earths eden connected to roads because i didnt noticed that they have changed the need for a road from when i got the building from beta LOL. Good to know you are aware :D
I'm in AF and moving up in a few days to OF. I haven't noticed too much of a difference in fighting. Although my guild goes about GBG in such a way that we don't need to max out on attrition when we fight, so AO isn't an issue for me. Eventually the AO will help again once you stop using hovers. Having an AI Core will also increase the harbors ability to produce promethium and I double dip each day collecting my SC, so I've been going through the tech tree pretty quick compared to what I've read and seen on youtube. Have fun!!
Sounds like you are doing great and on a similar path as me, ATM. I am planning to make the jump to OF on 11/21 and my next vid will be about my experience in AF. Thanks for watching & sharing!
In my guild, in order to speed run through AF and OF we will power level the Space Carrier up through the sweet spot and then tear it down and repeat a few times until you have the promethium and orichalcum because those ages are a dismal slog.
I'm in AF, it isn't that bad. I've been using Hover Tanks for combat. I managed to get all the promethium needed for research in 2 GBGs time by leveling the Space Carrier to level 38. I just haven't gone to OF yet because I'm a bit behind on the campaign map.
@@BardoFarkinsI did screw up in the first weeks into AF. I was choosing the ship crew poorly and I wasn't repairing the ship after every trip. I only realized this when I noticed a visible reduction in the promethium yield for each trip. I highly recommend that you repair the ship after every trip since regular goods are so plentiful.
@@vitorfray @bardofarkins I've seen recommendations in our guild to always pick the crew that gets the trip done fastest, rather than quantity of promethium so you can do more runs overall.
A question for you, if the AF troops are weaker/ poorer than FE troops, what is the difference because you will be fighting AF troops as your enemy, so shouldn't it still be the same if you use troops within the same era?
No because I use Hovers in AF.....that's the thing, I am curious to figure out how long I will stick with them. I think when I get to OF, I will start using OF troops and regain the advantage of having a high level AO. It's tricky.
keep the HC, i am in the space age mars and i am a competitive player and the HC is good production of forge points, diamonds, goods. the truce tower is for show and is always disposable. when i deleted my TT is was at 22 and it took me too long to delete (just pull the band aid bro). good job on the channel i like the intro music its pretty cool keep up the good work.
It's a month later and I still have my HC....so we will see how long it hangs around. Appreciate the positive comments on the channel. I am having fun and learning ways to improve. Fun fact - the intro music was created by my son, who is a pretty talented musician!
I guess I'm the only one that wasn't impressed by FE (I don't like Hovertanks). I found the other future ages way more fun. And SAM is just WOW! That is one I would sit in.
Gonna be awhile! For the first time ever (4 years playing) I just feel like I want to take a nice steady pace the rest of the way. No camping, no rushing, either.
I am considering this. My next vid will be about my experience in AF and I'll discuss this. Plan to hop to OF on 11/21. Once I get the SC to 67 or so in OF, I might do this. Thanks for the comment and for watching.
Truce tower going down is a good idea. Its really not needed in a good guild. Your guildmates shouid be happy to trade you most other era goods that you might need.
