Hey there! In order to use Phase, you need to have an audio interface, that is either built in within your mixer or an external source. Heya! This new integration definitely doesn't affect the performance of Phase and the power of the battery. You need to charge your Remotes as per usual, but the durability of your battery won't be influenced if Phase is connected via USB. Hope this helps! 🙏
Hey there! Just like with any turntable DJ hardware, you need to have a DVS interface in order to make Phase work. Hope this answers your question! Let me know if you need any more info. 🙏
I personally have reached out to Serato about this and they told me that you HAVE to have some type of DVS interface, whether that's a DVS audio interface (Like Serato Scratch SL2 to SL4) or you have to have a DVS mixer. They don't explain this in the video. It just seems like they just connect the Phase box straight to the computer and that's it. Nope. So, no you can not connect Phase straight to your computer and only use your old turntables and old analog mixer.
Now @Phase if you guys can make something like this happen where you can just plug the Phase box into the computer and not into a DVS interface, I'm sure that would be awesome. Just plug your turntables into your analog mixer, plug the box into the computer, put the transmitters onto the vinyl records and you can be good to go. That would be awesome!
Hi there DJ Mike! There's no problem to use Phase via HID mode with Serato DJ Pro with all the upgrades from 2.5 and, so if you still haven't updated your software to this update, then you can use Phase only via RCA cables. 😉 Do let u know if you have any more questions!

@@dannygarcia8135 It will depend on the port specification. If these mixer ports haven't enough Amps output these will never recommendable. It's not a matter of "update", it's due how electricity charging/discharging worls and how that affect the batteries inside the unit. I hope it makes sense...
Hey Danny, thanks for your message! There is absolutely no problem with plugging in your Phase to the back of your mixer. I'm thinking of picking up a set. I borrowed my friends to see how it worked with virtual DJ and it was flawless. So a few things, if you would be so kind to respond to. 1. I worry about battery life getting through gigs so that makes me want to buy the 4 remote pack but it's obviously more expensive so haven't pulled the trigger yet. That's the main thing keeping me from buying it right this second. 2. How easy is it to change out a remote during the middle of a set IF the battery is starting to get low? 3. This isn't a deciding factor for me because I know it works perfect with the RCAs but is there a wireless mode eventually coming to virtual DJ or is that a question for them?
Heya Drew, thanks for reaching out! We're more than happy to reply to all the questions above 😉 1. The autonomy of Phase is up to 10 hours of non-stop gigs, and mostly, we haven't heard that much of the complaints from our community that it isn't enough! However, you can always grab a solo Remote just in case, if you feel like it might be short! 2. It's super easy to switch from one Remote to the other! You can read how to do so here: bit.ly/3imsgvk 3. We're definitely open to this idea for sure, and we'd love to! But not everything is in our hands... But perhaps one day it will happen for sure! 🤞 We hope this answers your questions. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more!
Hi there! With Phase, you don't need your turntables to be plugged into the mixer anymore. The Remotes placed on top of the record analyze the rotation information of the turntable (direction, speed, etc.) and send this info to the laptop via a Receiver and that's how you're allowed to control your DJ software!

@@DjGCue71 ... well at the time and on the MacBook Pro I had I was running serato scratch live & serato Dj with my Rane 62 I leave that laptop dedicated for my Rane 62 & 57 mixers when I feel like using them I recently brought a 2012 MacBook Pro and put serato Dj pro on it running a Rane one controller now!
@@hollywoodthedj1673 you know you can have multiple versions of serato on your computer, right? I had the same problem. I have 2technics 1200's that I use with my Pioneer S9 mixer and I also have a Pioneer ddj-sz2 controller. I recently got the Rev-1 and i needed a newer version of serato, when i went back to try to use my s9 & sz2, serato told me that I needed an updated driver, which my macbook pro (2012) would't update. i reached out to serato and they told me to download an older version of serato dj pro for my sz2 & s9 and the newer version for my rev-1. i was shitting briks because my macboo pro (2.9ghz, Intel Core i7, 16gb memory & 2tb SSD) works like new. i thought i was going to have to shell out over 4 g's to get a new one.
I keep getting hid timed out. Sometimes my Serato Phase will work together. If I switch to different modes even though I'm trying to use phase lol my laptop icon pitch controls will go way up minus pitch or it starts playing backwards. I am all messed up. A few days ago it was ok.
Hey there! It might be related to Serato's settings...could you please drop a message to our product specialists so they could see what might be causing this 👉bit.ly/3nKGUiA
They usually reply within 24h on Mon-Fri!
Hi @phase .... can you tell me, if the Phase Systems runs on Serato DJ Pro on a new Apple M1 Mac? (since the Serato Box is no longer supported) ...
Heya Pfeil! We can confirm that the Phase Manager, the software which is used to configure Phase, should be working with no problem on M1 macs! Other than that, if your Phase is all set up and ready to go, there's really no impact on the Phase unit itself the type of laptop you're using!
Hope this helps ✌️
Hello Phase Team, can i plug phase into the usb slot from my mixars duo 2 mixer instead into the Laptop? I only have one usb slot on my laptop. Thanks !
Hey there, thanks for reaching out! There is no problem with plugging in your Phase to the back of your mixer while performing!
However, if you want to charge your Remotes properly, we recommend using a power outlet or a computer, as sometimes, it can happen that the mixers don't send enough power for the Remotes to be properly charged. Hope this helps! ✌
Which Serato DJ Pro Version is needed for this feature?
Hey man! Your Serato DJ Pro version must be 2.5 or higher to access the integration. 😉
You can have a look at written instructions on how to access the integration here 👉 www.phasedj.com/phase-x-serato
If I want to sync Serato tracks after scratching do I have to change to INT mode ? I mostly mix faster 4/4 music and scratch over top - sometimes more like beatmatching house style so need to scratch a bit then change to track layering. Is there delay when switch back to Wireless mode ?
Hey there! We're not sure if we got your question correctly, but if you're hesitating whether you might get any delay when switching from WIR to INT, the answer is no, there shouldn't be any delay when doing the switch. We do recommend always being on the WIR mode, but you can seamlessly switch to INT if you like!
Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to drop us a message if you have any more questions! 😉
So how you get to DVS mode to S 11 to phase to technics 1200
Hey! You need to unlock the Serato DVS license to activate the DVS on your S11. And after that, here's how to set it up: bit.ly/3iQVIwU
Hope this helps! 😉
Just did the updates it its very good 👍 👌 👏 shits on point is all I have to say about that ...... drops mic 🎤 and walks off into the darkness with Stone Cold Steve Austin's theme song playing out of nowhere 🤣🤣🤣
I'm sure this would look so much better in reality than in my imagination! 😂 Thanks man, we really appreciate your kind words. 🙏
Can HID mode only work on channels 1 and 2? I am having trouble routing WIR mode to Channels 3 and 4 on my DDJ SRT 1000 pioneer mixer...
Hey there! Yes, at the moment, the HID integration between Phase and Serato DJ Pro works on channels 1 and 2 only, and not channels 3 or 4 for now!
Would it work with reloop spin without mixer just to rip vinyl to mp3
Does it work with rane ttm 56 with denon ds1 ?
Hey there! In order to use Phase, you need to have an audio interface, that is either built in within your mixer or an external source. So therefore, without the DVS-enabled device (the mixer or a mixer with an external soundcard). Just to let you know, Phase cannot read an actual physical vinyl, it transfers the tracks from your computer to the Remotes!
And the setup you've mentioned should be working just fine! You can see how to setup Phase with an Analog mixer and an external soundcard just here: www.phasedj.com/setupphase ✌️
@@PhaseDJ
Plz 1 question. Can i run phase with reloop spin and the DVS interface without mixer, just listen to vinyl or rip the vinyl to mp3 format ?
@@dasimsim Heya! As we mentioned in the previous message, Phase can't be used to read or rip the actual vinyl. It only works with digital vinyl system, meaning, that it only transfers tracks from a DJ software to your decks, but not the other way around.✌️
Can someone please send me in the direction to get this setup with my S-11? I still want the touchscreen on the mixer and all those features to work.

Would I still need a external Serato soundcard if I'm trying to use this with my RPM-100 and my Crosley RSD3 turntables?
Hey Patrick! If the mixer doesn't have a built-in DVS then indeed you need to use an external soundcard in order for Phase to work! ✌️
Please make the Phase controllers connect with a Ipad Pro. That would be great!!
Hey there, thanks so much for reaching out! Actually, you can connect Phase with a tablet, or a phone! Want to know how? 😉
Check out our thorough article on how to set it up here 👉bit.ly/3qHLTSv
@@PhaseDJ thanks for that info. that is great to hear. However, The perfect set up would be if the Phase controllers could connect directly to DJ software running of a Ipad pro, connected to a sound-card eg. and into the line channels on my Condesa rotary mixer. Then I could switch between analogue vinyl and digital tracks of the Ipad controlled by the Phase controllers. Can I use the mixfader dj app without the fader? I just need a software that can allow me to choose and sync tracks.
@@bjrnarkvalen7475 heya! The mixfader app can be used without a Mixfader, but the functionalities will be limited!
In order to use Phase with an iPad Pro, you can also use the DJ Player pro app, which is a DJ app that supports DVS.
With this app, you’ll be able to connect:
- Phase to the soundcard Line inputs
- The soundcard Line outputs to your mixer’s Line
- The soundcard USB to the iPad
I hope this helps! ✌️

@@PhaseDJ I responded to them through their link. I keep getting the “HID Timedout”. I’m on the latest version of phase. I have it running in the background. I have the latest version of serato. My phase is charged at a 100% with the latest update. What else can I do? Let me know.

Won’t the phase lose battery power when everything is turned off?? And be at low battery when you want to dj??
Heya! This new integration definitely doesn't affect the performance of Phase and the power of the battery. You need to charge your Remotes as per usual, but the durability of your battery won't be influenced if Phase is connected via USB. Hope this helps! 🙏
Will it work with analog mixers or I still need to have DVS device in between as interface?
Hello . I’m gonna buy Phase asap but what if I’m using serato dj pro 2.3.7 ?
Hi there DJ Mike! There's no problem to use Phase via HID mode with Serato DJ Pro with all the upgrades from 2.5 and, so if you still haven't updated your software to this update, then you can use Phase only via RCA cables. 😉
Do let u know if you have any more questions!
Guys can anyone help it's driving me round the bend I got Phase a couple of days ago and I'm getting nowhere...Phase says 100% ...and Linked...Serato is in Wireless mode...contollers are going round fine on the decks but I've got absolutely nothing ...I'm running though DDJ SX2 but it's DVS enabled...might be something simple but I'm stumped

What type of USB Hub is being used in this video? I did all the steps as instructed in this video but it does not work, and I assume it's my underpowered USB hub.

can you use this with CDJ?
Heya! It can work with a DVS controller that is used as a mixer, you can see how it would look like here: bit.ly/3URxyBf ;)

@@RefugeetheDJ they had mentioned in one of their tutorial videos to not plug it into a mixer. They said either plug it in a computer or a 5V charging block and that’s plugging straight into a mixer could damage the phase unit.
@@dannygarcia8135 ah ok. I had mine plugged into the mixer the whole time
@@dannygarcia8135 It will depend on the port specification.
Just note that, if you want to charge your Remotes properly, we recommend using a power outlet or laptop computer, sometimes, it can happen that the mixers don't send enough power for the Remotes to be properly charged. But that's the only thing to know. While in use, you can definitely proceed that way. :) Let us know if you have other questions!
We're more than happy to reply to all the questions above 😉
You can read how to do so here: bit.ly/3imsgvk
3. We're definitely open to this idea for sure, and we'd love to! But not everything is in our hands... But perhaps one day it will happen for sure! 🤞
We hope this answers your questions. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more!
As a S7 user I don’t need to pull out any ground or RCA??? Just plug in the tables IEC!!! 💯
Hi there! With Phase, you don't need your turntables to be plugged into the mixer anymore. The Remotes placed on top of the record analyze the rotation information of the turntable (direction, speed, etc.) and send this info to the laptop via a Receiver and that's how you're allowed to control your DJ software!

Phase Remotes analyze the rotation but don't exactly read the grooves of the record, which means, that you can use any vinyl you want, it doesn't have to be specifically Serato timecode records! 😉
