  • @bobbyrajgorai695

    25:37 in first ex . the R is transitive. cuz : (0,1),(1,0),(0,0) and (0,3),(3,0),(0,0) are present ...it is not necessary for x and z to be distinct elements. only the y element need to be distinct otherwise coordinates will repeat themself and we cant write repetitive coordinates in Cartesian product.

    Aur agar sabhi terms ka hona jaruri hai toh Ex.1 mein bhi toh last wala nahi h.

    • @ayushkumar9527
      @ayushkumar9527 3 года назад +1

      I think Ex 1 is transitive because (1,4) ke baad (4,x) nhi h...isiliye uske liye bhi check nhi kiya...but ex 2 me (4,2) ke baad (2,3) h to (4,3) bhi hona zaroori h

    {introduction of relation and its type } Transitive relation ka 2 example , transitive relation hai,
    because R {[1,2], [2,3], [1,3] } ek dushre se related hai, , islye ye transitive hai,
    {4,2} bhi present hai, R mai , but its not matter

  • @akshatmehta3872
    @akshatmehta3872 3 года назад +8

    at 23:28 i think the second relation R is transitive becoz look at the 3rd element (1,2) and we have another element starting with 2 i.e (2,3) so for it to be transitive (1,3) should be present which is there our last element....So i think it must be transitive

    23:27 i have a doubt… do we need all elements to have that for transitive relation…? Or only 1 element being transitive is enough to be transitive relation???

  • @naveena6320
    @naveena6320 3 года назад +3

    Sir but in the examples u have given for transitive there is (1,2) in 3rd element and (2,3) in 2nd element and (1,3) in forth element then y is it not transitive sir???? It satisfies the rrule right?

  • @dabblu

    23:21
    Second example transitive hai,
    I that example when you interchange the 2nd(2,3) and 3rd(1,2) element we get (1,2)as 2nd elment and (2,3)as 3rd element and when you look at 4th element it is (1,3)
    R={(4,2),(1,2),(2,3),(1,3)} therefore it is transitive
    Is this correct?

    R={(4,2),(2,3),(1,2),(1,3)} mai bhaiya (4,2) ko ignore nhi kar sakte? Like usko extra element man ke nhi chal sakte jaise humne kiye tha for the example R={(1,2),(2,3),(1,3),(1,4)}, where (1,4) is extra element. Tab first wala R={(4,2),(2,3),(1,2),(1,3)} transitive nhi ban jayega?
