- 10 gallon The Hessaire Mobile Evaporative Air Cooler
The Hessaire 2,200 CFM Evaporative Cooler is compact in size, pleasing in aesthetics, and the performance exceeds coolers of a much larger size. This performance is achieved through expanding air-intake areas to the hi-density XeL50 rigid media. These coolers have 3 media panels instead of a single panel found on most mobile coolers. 3 panels allow more air-intake area and reduce pre-rotation of the air to the prop, which translates into lower static pressure and more efficient air delivery to the prop. The hi-density XeL50 media provides 80% more evaporation surface compared to regular density media. This means higher evaporation efficiency and cooler temperatures. Patented axial prop is energy efficient and throws cool air farther. Features an oscillating design for maximum cooling. Molded with a polypropylene resin, creating a strong, yet lightweight design. Prop is designed to deliver a hi-velocity of air to you quietly. 1 year warranty

Thanks for your insightful and informative post….your insight and video pushed me to buy one from my local Home Depot….I’m in Phoenix,AZ and have patio work and some outdoor projects that can’t wait for the Fall. Cheers!
sure
Awesome machine 👏 I use it outdoors on the back patio for my dogs. They obviously love it, in this arkansas heat.
Right on they love it. put some ice cubes in it
It’s a great product, only reason people think this thing sucks is because they don’t understand how it’s supposed to work. It’s not a ac unit it cools one small space, I run this outside on the patio and sitting at the table EVERYONE is comfortable. The second you get up and move out of the “bubble” it creates you’re uncomfortable. It’s a great unit
ya i love it no complaints here
No that is not true I know how it works and it sucks there are better quality units available. Gum ball
if it works for someone so be it.
As wi and evaporative cooler it needs low humidity to work the lower the better . I have this one in one room with my ac running here in San Antonio but I’m able to set my ac to the hi 80’s that way it’s cycling slower saving me electricity then since the ac has removed humidity the evaporative cooler can work to lower the temperature to a comfortable level saving me a bundle on 100+degree days an nights . As for the occasional swamp smell a cup of vinegar now, and then can sweeten things up.
It's a "great unit" for a TINY bathroom. Don't waste your money
Bought a reconditioned one for under $90 plus 10% Veteran discount, works great in patio when dry summer heat (like now) 110 deg plus..can also connect water hose direct to keep the water flow constant. Don't expect 70 deg temp, but 80-84 is pretty comfortable when 110-115 deg outside. Hell of a bargain!
Nice
I need to get a few of these. THANK YOU
I think the mode that sounds like a fish tank is to get the membrane wet before you turn on the fan on the unit
possibly so, good point. i know the manual doesnt suggest that as a first step when turning it on
Yes, that is correct.
yup
I just ordered one from Home Depot. One day special for 110.00. You reassured me that this will cool my house!
That is awesome!
So far I absolutely love it just wondering if we can put ice cubes down the in the tank?
Google says yes. Yaay
@@TashaHarrisTashaluvsyou oh ya of course
Great review, it really helped. Thanks.
Welcome
The water 💧 mode is to soak the pads before you run the fan..Do the louvers move?
not on this model, u can move them manually a little
Just purchase a new unit for $99 ! Everywhere else I see these they're $160+ also the water mode is to run the pump only typically used to prime the unit before use as it pumps water to the top of the unit and drains down the filter on the back to saturate it for evaporative use :)
nice
$99 is a steal
sure is
Where you bought it for $99?
I wish that the space at the bottom was detachable or pulled out because the small door to put the water in is too small . Also think that there should have been an automatic shut off once the water is all gone
I think mine is broken rn and not sure how to fix it
agreed i wish there was an auto shut off to
I just bought mine at home depot
hope u like it
That setting that makes the fish tank sounds is the filter preset
Can you use it in greenhouse
Sure u can
Loved the video! Any issues if this were to be used to cool down a bedroom while sleeping? Wondering if there would be any issues once it runs out of water after 3-4 hours
they make alot of noise. i wish there was a shut off water option once water was gone.
I agree the manual is horrible for the Hessaire MC18V. The manual doesn't advise of the different settings. The video covers the amount of water to fill it completely and how to adjust the dial.
Totally agree
Do you have to do like it says and run it for 30 mins after you use it?
no not at all
Preferably. You want the pad to be dry before turning off the unit if you're not going to use it for a day or two. You may get a mildew/mold smell if you don't.
nice
@@rob4197 great to know!
Does it blow off heat?
Yes just make sure u have a window open to suck on air . Or else it will get humid
60 watts ♥️
Cool
Great review. Do you have to put cold water in it for it to blow cold air? Does the water running down the back leak onto the floor.
Cold water is best or ice water
@@AngelicaTjAdventures nope! It works by evaporation, cool water doesn't evaporate as fast impeding the cooling effect
@@shidoin5398 I’ll have to test it because I sometimes put ice in it and it feels cooler
How does a continuous water mode work? The instructions that come with the unit are terrible.
Plug in a water hose on the side nozzle
@@AngelicaTjAdventures ,😅😅😅
Ty for this video
No problem
Do you have to add the water for it to blow cool air? We are trying to figure out if the fan mode only can cool a garage size room without adding qater to the unit...
yes u do. u can still use it as a regular fan
My second one . After a while they short out
sorry to hear. how long did u have the first 1 ?
The design on this one on the media filter, looks like it'll leak in the back, like my 3 sided one does hessaire :(, which was about 500$, works awesome for 5 years. I really like this one tho, smaller and portable
👍
I thought these were not for enclosed usage as they generate a lot of humidity obviously with mold as a possibility inside
there made for indoor or outdoor use. many businesses use them and its listed in the maual
Commercial like review..!
thanks
I need something outside by my pool area (Houston heat). Does it work well outside?
Yes it does, and u can hook it up to a water hose
Totally doesn't work too well in the humid climate like Minnesota per say ! Is that right ?
Not sure but it should help
Not in home it really makes you feel sticky from the moist that comes out the fan
@@frankgarcia9826 gotta have a window or something open
So it doesnt blow cold air it just mames the room cooler
Depends on how cold the water is. U can add ice cubes
I just purchased a 2 gallon Hessaire. I'm so disappointed. The first thing I read is that its recommended for outdoors. I thought this was an indoor unit. I love in an apartment and don't have a door I can leave open and the windows are up high. I will have to return this. UGH.
Windows up high is fine. It just needs the room to have circulation which means one open window nearby and one elsewhere would probably do best. Really it’s just to prevent stagnation and humidity build up, I run swamp coolers with doors and windows shut all the time because it’s literally the only cooling option when wildfire smoke has our AQI ranging from 150-600+ and we have no AC. Just deal with the 65-70% room humidity lol
Thank you for responding. Sadly, I returned the unit which would have fit my needs, due to my very small studio apartment. I don't have enough ventilation. And this complex is old and already has mildew/mold issues. Thanks again. I will have to keep researching for something that will work and won't hike my electricity bill up.
👍
Um, u didn't show me how to start it🤨
u need help with that?
Does anyone else have like a bad odor coming from it ?
no
Just bought and put it in the garage. Strange odor coming from it. Banking on because it’s just brand new and it’s got a funky new item smell lol
@@Frankdonahue23 none here
@@Frankdonahue23 yes it has a odd smell the first 30 minutes or so. At least for me, I think it’s just the lubricant on the fan.
Run the unit in fan mode only for 30 minutes to dry the pad before turning off the unit. If the pad is wet without running water for a day or two, you may get a mildew/mold smell.
I think I got a faulty one 😕
how so
9 minutes of useless information. Where is the thermometer that shows us how effective it is or isn't!!!
Lol I don’t have one thanks for watching.
Dead pump in less than a year... now an overpriced fan
that sucks
Buy another pump they're cheap or see if manufacturer will warranty it or discount you on another pump ?
Richard, manskills time, replace the pump 🤠 I kidding, use RUclips to find a video how to and. replace, your significant other will love that you can fix stuff 😁
@@brianandlynphilippines nice
@@AngelicaTjAdventures @BrianSessums why is that nice? He doesn't know me, and neither do you. I had a comment that showed a different experience than yours so demeaning comments are nice?
Wow if this is the best cooler on the market then everything else must really suck… I find that this brand however you pronounce it has a air is absolute terrible quality build.
works great here and i got 2 of them
I'm not in the desert and it works good Wichita Kansas. I know it works great in the desert. If it's too much humidity is not going to work when I get hight humidity here I just turn my AC on.
