I'm an Iowan-USA. We are raised on Pork. We have more piggies then people. Bacon is our 2nd language. Although lately I've been concerned "Biblically" whether eating Pork was sinful or not.I heard Biblically from 1 side....it only applies to the Jewish people, on another side....If you accept Christ then you are grafted into Israel and thus need to conform to their rules. What of Paul saying “do not let anyone judge you for what you eat”. What about the context of early Israelites, if you were sick you were condemned to the outside of camp until you died or became healed. These were things meant to increase the probability of the Israelites surviving the initial trek out of bondage. They had little numbers and the likelihood of them all dying off due to illness was huge. So no pigs, they’re nasty animals they eat anything. Send your sick away. Be hyper critical of any discrepancy of moral law. This was to create order in chaos and to establish a good society. All of which would be extreme now a days. Imagine sending a sick person to the woods to either die or heal. We wouldn’t now because of our context.

Actually, according to my professor of animal science, pigs prefer to be clean. Mud cools their skin and keeps bugs off and that's why they wallow. Pigs, however, have been known to eat anything including humans. Perhaps that's why Jews were forbidden to eat them.

Thank You Bishop. Nice explanation. Got the message. Always had a sense there was a deeper spiritual meaning to the writings in the Bible because God is Spirit. Just wanted to say that pigs are actually very intelligent and believed to be even smarter than dogs. They roll in mud to keep their bodies cool and reduce sunburn. The sows make their own nest and keep it clean by doing their business far away. God never makes mistakes. Sometimes, what works for animals may not work for humans.

Nowhere in the bible you will find mention of Yashua or His disciples eating unclean animals. He also says quite clearly that our Lord God is the only one to be worshiped. Acts 10: 9 to 15 also has nothing to do with eating laws. An angel tells Cornelius, a centurion, to ask Peter to come to him. Peter is praying when he receives a vision of food-including non-kosher food-and God's voice telling him to eat. When the centurion's messengers arrive, Peter realizes the dream meant that Gentiles are no longer unclean.
So, in summery, go read your Bible correctly and stop using a passage here and there to create a narrative to suit your heathen belief structure. Here's a starting point.
An angel tells Cornelius, a centurion, to ask Peter to come to him. Peter is praying when he receives a vision of food-including non-kosher food-and God's voice telling him to eat. When the centurion's messengers arrive, Peter realizes the dream meant that Gentiles are no longer unclean.

Just my thoughts. We have strong belief that God's words were handed down to Moses as also God's commands. God is always by Moses side even teach him when and how to say it to Pharoah or to the Israelites. God would correct Moses if this is the case. For sure everyone might point out this verses from the new testament:

Here on this verses Christ is talking about the Pharisees hypocrisy not food. I don't know who added that quote on quote Mark (Christ declares all food are good to eat) why other verses like Matthew and Luke doesn't include that while they do technically says the same thing.
