I had a chance to meet him when he played the Prokofiev piano concerto 1 in Cincinnati back stage! and got his autograph! and was very kind when I asked him some fingering questions and never make you feel bad that you don't understand something! He along with AMB are my favorite interpret! they both touch the human Soul!
Not forgotten by me...and I am sure many others who loved his music making, Cheer up, we still have his recordings so the future generations can discover him...
This was the most impressing work that I've ever heard when I was 11 years old. I still accept it as a masterpiece. My life is characterized by finding such fine harmonic variations. I'm playing rock music of my own and Beethoven is an inspiration throughout the years.

50年前に何回かコンサート行きましたが、どれも素晴らしいものでした。
ワイセンベルクさんがいなくて、寂しく悲しいです。
毎日、ワイセンベルクさんの遺した傑作のＣＤやユーチューブを聴いて感動し、冥福を祈っています。
ワイセンベルクさんに出会えた事を感謝しています。

A great pianist, who died a few days ago, quite forgotten: he could not play since the end of the 80's, because of Parkinson illness. So sad...

I would be pretty curious to hear how the 4 stupid people that put their thumbs down play this masterpiece. They must be geniuses.
It's nice to hear a fairly modern recording of these Variations played with real panache.
