Ugh. Always get people interfering with nothing to do with them. 1. Truck saved 2. Previous owners widow happy truck saved and gone 3. Guy saved the truck happy 4. New owner happy. If you are none of the above then your opinion means shit. Well done on saving it guys and great it's found a good home too. Loved the plaque.
2:47 scared the shit out of me. Had the volume cranked to hear you in the barn then all of sudden you were in my man cave screaming at me. LOL! Love that you saved that Pete from the scrap yard and it is going to someday soon deliver everything we need delivered here in the United States.
I loved that truck rescue video, I've watched it several times. To know it's new owner is going to put that old horse back in service is amazing. I know this might sound really strange, but there's something "life like" about that old truck, how it just seemed to want to crawl out of its grave and get back to work, I don't know how else to explain it. Thanks for the original video, and this one, I'm just glad to know that old horse is in the barn and getting ready to go out for a run... A long run.
Please don't feel like you have to justify your decision to sell the truck. Hat's off to you for recognizing what was best for the truck. You did your part by saving it and making a video of it to get the word out. Sounds like it's going to a great home and how cool that it will get a second life out there on the road. Thanks for keeping us in the loop and I look forward to seeing updates on the KW you are working on.
hats off to you young man, you saved from being scrapped and now another guy with the time and resources is going to sort, repair and use it so well done!
Thanks for being able getting a piece of history into the hands of someone who has the means, willingness, and energy to restore it. Worth many, many thumbs up if it were possible to do so on youtube.
Well, I am glad that truck is going to a better home, is going to be restored to its former glory and be back in the trucking service. It was the one the most badass looking semis I've ever seen. Peterbilt trucks are awesome and are built to last. 😀
I'm not even a Trucker but I love these old rigs. I was 13 in 1977 so this reminds me of Smokey and the Bandit as well as sitting on the road waiting for the bus and giving the "blow your horn" pull to every truck that passed by.
Thanks for the update and letting us know. Still can’t wait to see more updates. The KW looks sharp can’t wait to see it running as well.. thanks again y’all
Sir Mike !!! Thanks for the update & YES,,agree that it should have gone to a better home where it can be fully restored back to its glory & sure that the old owner would highly agree too !!! Keep the videos coming & waiting to see the MACK & KW restored to showroom new !!! KEEP IT SAFE !!!!
You can be happy that you were able to give it a second chance. I'm the same way. bought a 53 4400 chev flatbed and it sat for a couple years, and just worried me silly till a friend of mine came and said they had a use for it and would finish restoring it. I gave him the truck, cause he's not made of money either, and he's got it going as a hay truck for his horses.
Great to hear that it’s going back on the road I’m a fan of preserving these historical vehicles but they were built to work not sit at shows or in museums that’s why my 1962 fordson tractor still gets used whenever I get the chance and if I happen to add a new scratch or dent while doing so then I won’t be too worried as in my opinion that’s what it was meant for 👍🏻
Love that truck, really hope you can manage to get some video from the owner going forward. Would like to see the improvements. I have watched and subscribed to 359 Twinsticks, that dude is so cool. I'm excited for his project too.
I have no problem with what happened, just a fan. It's at a good home obviously. I'll take a look at the two other channels you mentioned. I'm a greenie but I don't have a problem with these older diesels. I understand the differences from the new to the old. The ones that should be targeted are the ones who have to drive two blocks when they could just walk or bike. These trucks have a purpose, to me that's the difference.
I think this is actually a brilliant thing to hear, and even happier to know it’s going back to work ! Maybe you could tee up an update one day when he gets it kn the road ?
Hey, you got it out of a field and kept it from rusting into the ground. As long as it gets put back on the road to live again who gives a damn who does it. You did good getting it out there for people to see.
Glad to see it go to a good home! Just got through restoring a day cab 359 just like this one. It ran and drove the day we got it no problems only sat a year. Going to be a grain hauler for our farm. Unfournatetly it's not a twin stick just a 13 speed. This 359 I restored needed way less work then that one.
You don’t have to explain anything. You saved the truck and found it a good home. The people who would complain probably follow RUclipsrs who have access to “daddy’s money” and do whatever they want to a truck. You are an average guy like the rest of us. Thank you for saving this piece of America’s trucking history.
Guy's, you don't have to justify why you sold the truck. You 7 Michael did a wonderful thing by getting that beauty back on the road. I do hope that the new owner, John is taking care of her and sends in some updated pictures for everyone to see. There are a lot of haters out there who sit behind a keyboard and type crap. I absolutely loved seeing and hearing that Pete start up after so many years. Cheers!! PS : More video's like this please.
Thank you for the update. I viewed the rescue of the Peterbilt 359-I was so encouraged to see it running and to see someone take ownership of it, etc.. Hope the new owner will post some information on it. Thanks again and best wishes on your Kenworth Project.
Focus on those who are more grateful the truck is getting fixed and is going to be used again than those who are too lazy to start a project on making a gingerbread house. I can't wait to see more of this!!!
He’s trying to get away from digital logs and possibly DEF which I don’t blame him ! Lol. I was driving OTR when that truck was introduced in 77 and it’s just as sharp looking now as it was back then ! GLAD TO HEAR ITS BACK ON THE ROAD !
Too many guys aren't willing to part with projects, I think it is great that you sent it down the line. We've all seen the prime project vehicle continuing to rot away because a guy thinks he is going to get to it "some day!"
at least it went to a good home and will be the pride and joy and be a working semi and not just would have been rotting away in the woods. Glad you guys took the time to save it
Yup I'm new to American truck simulator on pc....1st mod I installed was this paint scheme...love it brings back lots of memories when I was a kid sitting in the jump seat....of course he drove R model Mack's but I remember seeing those flat tops...luckily I got to drive some really nice Pete's b4 I became a local driver
Okay, i am a Peterbilt Fan from Germany and even i have seen your video. Actually, over time i watched it 3 times!!! Hope you're doing well! Keep that good work up!
Glad to hear it went to a good home that's going to show that ole'girl the love she deserves. There's not many trucks out there anymore that command the respect the ole' 359's earned and not very many can put up the miles that those ole gems can. That Kenworth behind ya's one of the few I'd put up there in the same category as the Old Pete's. So good on ya'll for finding her a good home that intends to get her back out doing what she loves. It was obvious to an old trucker that that ole'girl was ready to go and wanted to be loved again doing what she was built for... That being sad I have to ask WTF are you trying to Blow my speakers and deafen me? That voice close to camera or voice over what ever it was had the wife cussing me for at least 10 mins as it scared this shit out of her and damn near deafened me...LOL Oh and all three ya'lls channels just earned my sub so good to know there are young'ins out there rescuing these old'girls and bringing them back to life or better returning them to the life they love...
Screw all the haters as long as the old Pete is on the road again. In just 3 months time you all done quite a bit of work to get road ready. And the new owner getting rid of the 07 for the old Pete now that's awesome. Thanks guys for videos
Good Job!! So sick of seeing vintage tin, rotting away in peoples yards or garages. "nope, not fer sale, I'm gonna fix er up someday" Glad she went to a good home. JT Orlando, Fl
Its so wonderful to see her breathe again Thanks so much for sharing her resurrection and may she Git er done with the new owner!! Get that K-whopper on some black top she is pretty also !!
That's cool that 359 went to a good home that was a awesome truck that Kenworth looks like a cool truck too it has that Snowman's Truck off of Smokey and the Bandit
Awesome tractor and glad to see it with life again. I sure would've liked to of had a chance to take that Ole Pete off your hands. Something about that tractor. Good luck with your other projects👍👍👍
I don't really like Pete's but I have to say the story behind this 1, the amazing shape it was in after sitting so long and the great future it has before it really did it for me. The best of luck you guys and keep savin the ole timers, "Hammer Down".
Hey, you saved that baby and gave her another shot at life. Please keep us all posted on it. Maybe a follow up video and ride along while she is in service.
Hey, no need for apologies its better that what it was doing, sitting in a field rotting. A bonus is that its going back to serving a purpose. You said you have a Mack Superliner as well, post some pics of that truck looooove Superdogs!!
People don't understand the amount of money it takes to really put that truck back on the road. There are soooo many parts and pieces to replace all the electrical And air lines air tanks brakes just get started. It's awesome that its going to someone who has the means and the drive to put these trucks not only on the road but a earning truck
Who cares what other people think as long as that bad boy got saved and is gonna be back on the road !!Y'all are awesome for saving it.
Amen Billy! Hey what are you doing here anyway, you following me? Lol
@@HarmonHeat LOL I posted first hahaha are you following me?
Uh oh he's onto me! I'm outta here
Strong's Adventures I feel the same way
Pro trick : watch series at kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
Ugh. Always get people interfering with nothing to do with them.
1. Truck saved
2. Previous owners widow happy truck saved and gone
3. Guy saved the truck happy
4. New owner happy.
If you are none of the above then your opinion means shit. Well done on saving it guys and great it's found a good home too. Loved the plaque.
Glad to hear it went to a good home ... love you KW and really appreciate the shout out guys that was cool 👍
No problem man....you and Bubbles need more views for sure.
2:47 scared the shit out of me. Had the volume cranked to hear you in the barn then all of sudden you were in my man cave screaming at me. LOL! Love that you saved that Pete from the scrap yard and it is going to someday soon deliver everything we need delivered here in the United States.
Lol sorry about that, I tried to normalize the audio so it wasn't as loud, but it made my voice sound like TV static. Thanks for your comment!
Same Here

hats off to you young man, you saved from being scrapped and now another guy with the time and resources is going to sort, repair and use it so well done!
It's being used that's all that matters. Just wish I could've found it first 😁
Dude you don't have to justify your actions to anyone.......let alone some internet tough guys. Love that Kenworth behind ya
Thanks for being able getting a piece of history into the hands of someone who has the means, willingness, and energy to restore it. Worth many, many thumbs up if it were possible to do so on youtube.
Cool good to hear it is going to be back on the road again , thanks for the update...........
Thanks for the update 👍
That was a beautiful, unique truck, glad that it went to a good home and it's getting restored and put back in service
Hey it is what it is. You're the owner you can do whatever the hell you want to with it. Glad you found it a good home👍
It's still cool just to see a old truck brought back from the grave.. you keep up the great work..
Glad to hear the truck will be back on the road! Hope to see updates on the truck, Thanks.

All you can do is ignore haters. Otherwise it’s good to know she’s doing well at a good home.
Good too know the truck is going to a good home great vid keep on truckin

I m so happy you made sure it went to a good home.
Thanks for rescuing that truck!
You guys did a good thing and gave that truck its 2nd wind. I'm sure it took a little work, but it's back to doing what it was designed for. KUDOS!
Love that truck, really hope you can manage to get some video from the owner going forward. Would like to see the improvements. I have watched and subscribed to 359 Twinsticks, that dude is so cool. I'm excited for his project too.
Job well done, you saved it and thats number one right there in my opinion. Glad to hear its going on the road again. 👍

Brilliant lads ! No hate from me, nice to see you saving it and now passing it on to a like minded enthusiast.

It's awesome that its going to someone who has the means and the drive to put these trucks not only on the road but a earning truck
good for you.... and i wish the guy who bought it lots of luck.....i've been looking for a classic for restro project.
Too bad, but it is getting back on the road! That's what counts! Better than it sitting and sinking!
I still drive my 1974 Peterbilt 359-A, I do all of the work myself that way I know what I have in it and less time down.
