Thank you all for your acknowledgement and feedback! During the editing of those two videos I was convinced that they were good, but I was not confident that they would be that successful. I came up with this idea and started working on it over a year ago and I didn't expect this outcome. As many of you have commented there are some moments that I missed, especially in Part 2. I knew that I could not satisfy everyone and at some point I just accepted that I could not make it perfect. In hindsight there are some moments where I feel bad not including them. Spontaneously I tried to edit the project and add up some moments but the video would become even longer and I realized the changes would not fit easily into the flow. Otherwise I like the video, so I gave up making a new version. However, if I ever make a 3rd part (in several years or so) I plan to include some of the moments I missed this time.
Hey Pakli! We as a community cannot understate how beautiful this compilation was. As much as we may all have differing opinions on which moments were the most iconic in LoL Esports, this is as close to perfection that we've gotten so far. Excellent music choices, informative & time-accurate graphics, all of it. I'm glad to have seen such a good summation of the hype we as fans all had over the years, watching the best players go at it. Can't wait to see your updated take on this one before Worlds 2024 next year (if you decide to make it). Take care and get some much earned rest!
preaty cool vid! it was a journy to all this years watching league! its a shame tho u could not put in the vid the t1 victory las year, i mean, obviously cuz the vid came before the worlds 2023, but im looking foward to see a recap part 3 in the future!
@@pullimau8555I mean the finals was a good game but that’s both teams were just throwing leads. This back and forth is what made it a good finals. It wasn’t the highest quality of pro league but rather two equal teams fighting with their all for a win
the amount of intense moments 2022 had is insane. truly the best worlds tournament ever. The entire DRX run from being 6th in lck to 5 intense bo5 to secure the last 4th seed ticket, then playoffs to worlds title defeating EDG(reigning world champs), GenG (LCK winners) and T1(top most group in the world) will remain close to my heart forever. The story, the emotions, Deft in his 10th year, it all came full circle. i think this yr fell quit short compared to last yr, idk if it was the swiss stage format instead of playoffs or just one-sided wins. Also T1 was overwhelmingly strong against lpl teams. fakers azir ult into Ruler & reclaiming the title was historic tho.
This makes me realise how much joy I've felt watching all these epic moments throughout the last 10 years. 28 now, never thought I'd still be watching this game (quit playing it tho)
Same here! I'm 29 now and as unfun LoL has become for me (haven't played in like 5 years), I love thinking back to those times. Watching LoL esports with friends was such a blast
Watching that DRX miracle run was the most insane thing I've seen. The storyline, the outplays, the small tragedies, it all came together so amazingly. Absolute chills just thinking about it
what a fking video man i really really enjoyed both parts and both showed how the history of the most hype video game esports have been in the past and every year is just better than the other i really really cant wait for worlds 2023 i just hope it will be as competitive as the last one
Even though, some moments were missed, this is to be expected for a game running that long with that many games. These videos are still fantastic and maybe the missed moments open up the possibility for a part 3 :)
2022 Worlds could be considered the "generational bridge" when new players were coming in and veterans were all retiring, which made the most chaotic, yet exciting series ever.
Great compilation. Of course there are things you missed; it'd be impossible not to. But there aren't that many! And it looks like you chose good quality sources for most of these clips, unlike a lot of compilations I've seen. I only wish the timing had worked out so we could've gotten some of the crazy Worlds 2023 plays in here... but of course, if you waited, then I'd just be saying that about the next tournament, lol.
This game is amazing, i had ton of emotions and memories coming up watching the video. Worlds are now close and i can say that this is my favorite moment of the year !
The (now second) most iconic moment was Faker's Zed showing how much individual skill and sheer talent could be expressed in this game. Beaten like 10 years later by Deft and DRX, showing the peak of teamwork, perseverance and hard effort.
2022 Worlds was rather messy in terms of game quality but, it made for one of the most unforgettable Worlds experiences of all-time. It was the true essence of playing League. Even the best of the best players were missing Smites, making miracle plays, and it was just a beautiful display of this one of a kind game. I cannot wait to see what 2023 brings us!
I think that this video lacks G2 vs RNG Worlds 2018. Maybe not the whole series but game 5 Perkz performence. RNG were favourites to win whole tournament and G2 in 2018 were just 3rd European seed. (They didn't even win any game in playoffs in summer playoffs!).
Honestly watching these highlights showed me how incredible LCK and LPL teams get at worlds. like yes we got the regular split and all but when it comes to Worlds its like they go super sayjan but not only 1 team no every single team opf that region. Its crazy how they do that
Great choice. But I was hoping to see MVP Max´s quadra kill on sion support vs KT. A quadra kill for support, by a team that was behind all other teams in bracket and in a game where they were behind aswell. insane!
Something really weird happened, I seemed to zone out at 13:03 or I think maybe the screen went black and audio cut out? Can’t seem to remember what happened at least.
As an EU fanboy, 2019 G2 was something to behold. Apart from the worlds final they looked like one of the most dominant teams that year. 18:55 shows that perfectly. I remember all the analysis videos of how perfect they played this fight and how good the communication and teamwork was between them. Only for Wunder to say he and the team had no clue what was happening, and for the comms to be released and prove he was telling the truth. Hope EU can find some form like they did that year. 2019 was EU's best year, even FNC pulling the cat out the bag and having the best botlane that year, especially when everyone thought Rekkless was done for.
I don't doubt that Faker is the GOAT, but still seeing so many plays of "him" that are actually like 80% the rest of the team setting it up. Like that shockwave wouldn't have been nearly as impactful if the enemy team hadn't already been stunlocked by Nami and Naut R. Same with that one play where he hits it in mid, but it was only possible to to Rakan 5-man engage etc. I think the other players go underappreciated just because Faker pressed a button.
This is my childhood, thank you for making such an amazing video, keeps giving me goose bumps. Also makes me feel glad about playing league, even though the game sucks nowadays XD
let's be honest.. the best and absolute T1 line up was Bang, Bengi and Faker... the back to back world champions and if you saw their games damn Bengi knows faker well hence they did some crazy stuff
Yes, indeed. You are absolutely right. I did forget it. I tried to think of everything, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to remember everything anyway. I had to accept that this was going to happen… but hey, thanks for bringing back this memory! :D
MAN, 2022 gotta be the best worlds lmao GEN vs DRX was a fucking trip and the last second inhibitor spawn just breaks your fucking soul. And the whole narrative between DRX and T1 is just fucking perfect, out of a damn movie

OKAY umm, i am just gonna say that first clip. when you are 1/12 behind the enemy there is no fkin way that wombo combo would kill any of them in todays league. back then skill mattered more. now once you have the items- nami+ naut engage with only orianna for dps? the enemies would survive with over 50% health and then kill all 3 of them in seconds
Thank you all for your acknowledgement and feedback!
