Great to see someone giving the rebels a go and continuing with it. Hopefully your channel will get a lot of attention. Co tinue with the great work. Go rebels 💪💪
Love this opening episode. I've just discovered this campaign as you're nearly at the end! 😂 Now i have to catch up in quick time before you finish the series!
No spoilers, but that certainly seems to be the case! The rebels have far better units and start situations on Medieval 2 than in Rome. A well managed start puts you in an insanely strong position.
And Poland fended off every invasion that entered it's Kingdom!! Jan Sobieski saved Europe from Eastern Conquest at the Battle of Vienna!! So you're all wrong son!!
Do you know a way how to recruit armies with Rebels? They dont seem to have all armies. I can only recruit cavalry units and peasant units from most settlements/castles. Only some are able to train heavy infantry.
It's all based on culture of the city. The culture can shift when you put units in the settlements though so experiment with different rebels giving different recruitment options (the accents should give you a hint).
They can only get some units, not all. In general the rebels struggle with high tier infantry. Having loaded my old files some good hints are: English can get you longbows. Polish and Russian culture are great as you can great polish nobles and Boyar Sons. HRE and France you can get armoured sergeants - though sadly none of the heavy dismounted knights are available! You can get Halbreds and great infantry from the papal state rebels. Finally, Venice and Papal staes can get you Pavise crossbows. By no means is that all of the options but these are a good spread of units. Hope that helps!
I've got so used to my rebel campaigns now that I had become oblivious to how funny that state of affairs is! 😂 It's all frivolous mind you - you simply don't have money in this campaign.
for some reason when I start my rebels campaign ALL of the starting settlements are empty villages, no buildings, no units, 500 pop EDIT There's a glitch, you need to have one or two unplayable factions and not exceed the maximum number of factions.
A good point! This is certainly the case in my Rome series. The rebels on Medieval however appear to start with an inordinately large amount of castles. The cities I do have are sadly very small so I'm stuck in between allowing populations to grow and short term taxation... I certainly need a solution to the money problem!
@@cavemanproductions8284 Yeah... I think I will go for low taxation and growth early on just to increase the tax base so that when I do whack up the taxes it should take a good bite into my horrendous deficit!
@@cavemanproductions8284 Thank you sir/maddam! I hope so... getting videos into circulation is pretty hard as a new channel but the views are ticking up and the positive feedback is very much welcome. :)
As I ready the final episode of this series I look back and see such humble beginnings... and critical early plays!
so say we all
Ahhhhhhh our dear friend Boleslaw Herman... you can't kill him that easily!
He is welcome to join the cause...
@@ToNerdistoHumanTNH Oh Boleslaw, that classic opening princess move
Fantastic to finally find a medieval 2 rebel campaign! Great stuff :)
Yeah, it's a weirdly rare beast. Glad you've enjoyed my run at this!
"oh they have more troops then I expected" -Said literally any army invading or attacking or being attacked by Russia (Except maybe the Mongols)
Oh yes! The Russians will prove to give me the run-around a little.
Another start of a brilliant campaign :)
I have no idea if this will be a colossal failure but onward we march!

I would happily take the title "Master of Anarchy". It's amusingly contradictory.
@@ToNerdistoHumanTNH 'Master of Anarchy' - nothing contradictory there at all! 😂
I absolutely loved this series! Get watching people...
Cheers Sir! This video keeps on getting watched so hopefully that's new people to the channel!
Your work deserves so many more subs! Even an early video like this is pretty professional.
Thank you Harry! I hope I come across that well across all my content!
@@ToNerdistoHumanTNH This video is nearly 2k now. Great stuff.

Glad to have you aboard!! I am indeed literally on the final episode now.
@@ToNerdistoHumanTNH This series is full commitment to a full playthrough! Love it!
Welcome a world of financial problems! 😂 If you can manage your armies well enough you might not ever need to recruit!
No spoilers, but that certainly seems to be the case! The rebels have far better units and start situations on Medieval 2 than in Rome. A well managed start puts you in an insanely strong position.
True. On Rome TW, many of them were just token units for factions to kill as they take a town. /@@ToNerdistoHumanTNH
There are two types of total war players: those who arrange their unit cards by category, and those whose unit cards are a complete clusterflip
Just realised that the rebel is the strongest faction if AI played it correctly the world would be all rebels in 50 turns
Start to finish I thoroughly enjoyed this playthrough. Hoping for more of the same :)
Thank you mi lady! It was a grand success methinks!
It’s always fun playing as the noble underdog. Winning Against the odds.
Yes. This is the ultimate underdog campaign! :D
And Poland fended off every invasion that entered it's Kingdom!! Jan Sobieski saved Europe from Eastern Conquest at the Battle of Vienna!! So you're all wrong son!!
True that. Nonetheless, historical Poland never had to fend off The Anarchy!!!
he didnt save anything. even if he lost, the turks would have lost eventually

And so it begins…
Ha - yeah good luck beating the Scots mate!! The English never fair well north of the border!!
I apologise in advance for the 'Scottish' accents that permeate this campaign 😅
I raise taxes to max lol towns wont rebell lol

I reccomend raising the taxes, more money and not any consequences :D

scheisse minelli. Holly Molly! This campaign, ita more hard-core than the gameplays of Leyendoftotalwar. You're 😎 cool! 😛😛🤘🏻
Cheers! It's a brutal campaign but a fun one :D
