I really want a how to train your Dragon game that's like an open world game and more action-based and geared towards older kids but still suitable for all ages. It would be nice to have a really epic AAA HTTYD game :)
Theres an online School of Dragons (I think that's what its called), theres a lot more freedom and you get to choose your dragon in the beginning and train and level it up while doing quest and going to other islands

Maybe it was planed for Smartphones before and in the middle of creating the game, they decided, to make it for the Switch and also had to stretch it a bit.
@@orkman9273 No school of dragons is not open world and there are so many issues with it with bugs, every quest is just a fetch quesyr and you need to pay real money to play at least 70% of the game
I saw the game in the store and immediately looked up a review. Honestly I would have bought it solely for flying, even in Zelda I have the most fun riding on horses because it's just so much fun? But I guess I can forget that now😂 Thank you!
Thank you Mark and Glen for letting me write another review! I def aim to give an absolute honest personal opinion of the game I am reviewing for the fans/gamer. That is what drew me to SwitchUp, just as a fan/sub, I felt they both were giving honest reviews of lesser known games to help find the gems and what to keep away from. Mark and I had some disagreements on some aspects, but the more we both played this game the closer we came on our overall disappointed impression. It is refreshing to see a channel being honest and letting me be honest too even when the review of a game is not in its favor.
Too bad, they shouldve aim for the stars. I mean I'd be super interested if they were to incorporate character creation and maybe diablo-esque loot drops/gameplay. And perhaps add a Persona style monster fusion mechanics...Ok, I realized that what I want it to be is a Diablo+Monster Rancher type game.
I rented this one. Glad I did. I actually like it but it obviously has many flaws. I’m a huge fan of the film series though. For most folks I would say pass. But if you have kids or you’re a fan, give it a rent. Or wait for it to be $20.
Was thinking about getting this to play with my daughter since I’m sick of LEGO incredibles lol. Unfortunately I’ll need to skip this with no 2 player. She’s not into watching me play anymore and wants in on the action but won’t be able to do this on her own. Thanks for the great review as always
Simoss13 yeah she’s only into Mario on Mario kart for some reason lol. Didn’t hold her interest. She loves movies though so tie ins are perfect for her but this doesn’t look like the one to go with

Had this game on pre-order and rec. Today & I like it simple wondering around simple fighting etc just the tupe of game to chill to love it then again I love dragons lol
Nice job Mark and CP! Unfortunately, this is about what I expected from a heavily licensed game. These just almost always tend to disappoint. I love the movie series and I think I'd enjoy the game enough for what it is, but the lack of the voice actors and the short play time really bum me out given the price tag. Again, not surprised at the high price either, just disappointed. It would be great if the creators of the Dragons film series were more involved and gave a game based on the brand as much love as the movies, but it just never seems to happen that way.
Another great review CP! I cannot believe they’re asking $40 for this game for only 5-7 hours of gameplay. I was willing to shell out $40 for Monster Boy but I got about 14 hours of game play from that one. I may consider this one at a 50% off discount but that’s about it.
Thank you a lot for the review. I only got 30 dollars left for games this year. You helped me save them for a better game, and seeing that dragon flying made me remember I love open world games. I was hyped, but I guess I will just go back to Blazing Beaks by the moment. Have a nice day.
Ohhh I saw this for the first time on Instagram stupid the time of the third movie release. I thought it was super interesting however thanks to your review I now feel it's not my cup of tea. This would gives a reason for him being weak and not knowing anything as he's had no reason or courage to explore. No idea how much this affects the story but if everything but the ending is bad then it's all bad, just look at Borderlands 3 how the main villain ruins the entire journey
After watching this review can see that there is some good mechanics but it has missed the mark on so many levels. A bit more of a budget could have made this great. May wait and see if this appears as a sub £15 game and then I'll think about it!
