That was very satisfying to watch. I think that it's how smooth they were in moderate wind, the court angle, color of the court and shooting in 4k. I usually don't see this level of clarity in tennis videos.
1:30 and 6:20 I need that slice in my life...., at 4:31 greeting the bro Foe ;) , ...at 11:17 ghost passed by XDD Otherwise simply awesome court level view. Priceless for me as a lefty. Thank you for the upload. Paradise for true tennis nerds.
Here's a crazy thought... Now Fed is retired, he has some free time. Shapo flies to Basel and works with Fed for the rest of the year to horn his game for AO 2023. Shapo is an aggressive player, just like Fed, so he can certainly benefit from more tactical inputs from Fed, little things like putting together the points to win consistently. It'll probably never happen, but I can fantasize!
@@wisdomseekertv I can't help but to hope that Fed would like to impart some of his Attack Tennis DNA's to someone who's most similar to him amongst the current Next Gen... :)
Yea, I’d be thrilled to hit the ball like this guy. I love one handers. But yea he looks kind of spastic and rubbery ha. His strokes (mainly the forehand) aren’t pretty but still awesome.
For some reason Nike has stopped making these - but are planning on giving it another go since everyone who plays tennis prefers other brands than Nike due to their complete failures of recent designs for tennis shoes. They look like ugly soccer cleats with crooked lacing and just overall weird and big logos. Distasteful compared to the Roger Federer Nike model.
@@wisdomseekertv yeah the latest Vapors are poor. I tried them and the plastic side guard dug into my toes whenever I bent my foot. The Vapor 9.5s were incredible. Zoom NXTs are also very nice - they feel a lot like the old Vapors in terms of fit.
@@dragunovx93 Do you know what racket he uses now? I saw that he was playing with the ezone 98 after using the vcore 95, but now I see that he uses a totally black one
@@pabletecn Currently that totally black one is the Vcore 95 new model. Yonex is coming out with a new Vcore lineup for next year and Shapovalov is playing the newest Vcore 95; they do not want to reveal the colorway/pattern yet. Nishioka is also using an all black Vcore 98.
That's quite an exaggeration, he looks like he's at the very least a 5.0. A 3.5 wouldn't be able to return the ball twice. He just looks like an old player with good strokes
@@askon His name is mentioned in the Intro above: Jamie Delgado. Career high ATP ranking 121 per Google. So, not quite an amateur, I would say. Looks can be deceiving...
i beat shapovalov in the juniors twice, he really isn't very good. i decided to quit and go on to other things. i certainly would have kicked his ass in the pros as well.

Thanks I'm glad to hear that!
Since you enjoyed this I'm sure you will enjoy the videos to come and the others on the channel.
Most beaufitul player to watch. Wonderful playstyle and aesthetic.
I just love to watch Shapo, his strokes are right up there with Wawrinka and Djokovic :)
Yep, Very satisfying to watch Shapovalov from this vantage point.

Perfect forehand swing in my opinion.
Thanks for this good video! Would be nice if there is serve practicing at Ad court and FH crosscourt practice! Well done!
Wonderful video
Great stuff

Yeah it will probably never happen but shapo playing style is similar to federer. His serve looks a bit like Federer too.
Sourcing Federer for tactical input is a very good idea. I'd imagine the invoice would be heavy. It would be worth it for Shapovalov.

That's an awesome thought. My wet dream too 😁
Ivan Ljubicic is freed up now. You never know.
This guy's a fantastic player shot maker my favorite to watch I'm not saying he's the best he's just my favorite to watch
His forehand takeback is huge
Great player. Interesting to see his discipline, head down, on the backhand whereas. dare I say, the forehand is a bit wild.

for all those who care, jamie delgado is the hitting partner.
somebody tell me what's the name of his shoes? please
they're NikeCourt Air Vapor Zooms... looks like an older colourway though.

You are realising that maybe you spread your comment a bit too much now that it’s ao 2023 😂 pls keep going
They couldn't find him a hitting partner who plays tennis??
What racket does he use?
He’s using an ezone 98 in this video.
But he usually uses Vcore 95

You would think he would have someone better than a 3.5 to hit balls with.
i was gonna say I can probably be a better partner than that lol

He's British, a former Pro, now Coach...amator/Amateur????
His name, rank?

I beat Federer in the juniors THREE times but decided to quit and get an office job instead.

Who is the player from other side? So unprofessional hitting player with terrible technique.
The coach is a bad player though
Too many errors, solid forehand tho.
You must be a fun guy...
ugly 1 hander though
