  • Welcome to Uzbekistan! And welcome to a new series. In this video I am exploring and exposing the hidden gem and fascinating captial city of Uzbekistan; Tashkent.
    Tashkent is a vibrant city home to 2.4 million residents located in the East of Uzbekistan and should be an essential travel destination for all travellers on the silk road!
    In this video:
    🚇💫We go metro hopping to explore the outstanding and jaw-dropping soviet-sytle metro stations in Tashkent, each hosting a unique and different cultural experience. Whist disembarking at each station to discover the main sites and attractions in Tashkent.
    🛒🍞Experience life as a local at Chorsu bazaar where we will experience the famous Uzbek bread making. haggle for some spices, find some new clothes and go meat shopping for fresh Uzbek produce!
    🕌☪️Visit the peaceful and picturesque recently-built Minor Mosque. A mosque that although built in the 2010s still exhibits the traditional patterns and shapes of the famous madrassas scattered around Uzbekistan, the heart of the ancient Silk Road.
    🏞🚶‍♂️We will also have a stroll through this beautiful city and marvel at the many Soviet and post-soviet statues, structures and monuments whilst learning about the history of Uzbekistan and the significance of these statues to historical, Soviet and modern Uzbek history.
    🍚🥩Finally, we end our time at the FAMOUS and OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS Central Asian Plov centre by the Tashkent TV tower. Here we will see what makes this dish so popular and how it is made for 100s of people everyday (but only for lunch!) Get it while you can! It sells out fast.
    Overall, Tashkent is well worth a visit and is the perfect place to start your trip in Uzbekistan with many international flights supplied by their carrier Uzbekistan Airlines. Learn about the Uzbek history and see how Uzbekistan's capital has progressed and moved on from Soviet times. But at the same time, experience the religion and the feeling of the Silk Road that you also feel in the rest of the country too!
    Welcome to Uzbekistan.

    We were in Uzbekistan in June . We loved it and it was very hot too (which I like) . We really saw everything you showed there in the video. After Tashkent we went to samarkhand, bukhara and Khiva by train. Khiva was my favourite but the other places were close in the ranking. It's funny when you showed the circus and how you confused it with the bazaar. I also did from far but then asked. The bazaar seemed like a maze to us but at the end we found everything we wanted

    So historically and culturally rich country, there used to be schools and universities at every step, Uzbekistan will be great again inşallah, if lenin system didn't invade this beautiful lands with the help of traitors within, these people would make the world happy, and be better than current Russia and China. • @MuhammedSultan7
      @MuhammedSultan7 Год назад +4

      Yes, mr traveler, I have. I've got a few friends very nice and faithful from Özbekistan who love and read history. On each visit, they show me astonishing places from the past that are unknown to people, even to Uzbeks. I'm really grateful to have such people in life. Unfortunately, , tourists, especially those who share their experiences like you on the internet, are not aware of these places, which could be absolutely fresh ideas to visitors about Uzbekistan. About half a century ago, there were also more than hundreds of thousands of Jews living in different parts of Uzbekistan. They emigrated around the world because of the oppressions of the Red Army. But, Uzbeks are such loyal and resilient people that they resisted until they achieved their independence, Elhamdülillah. Such reneisances were there, these lands were once home to great scholars, Al-khwrazmi, Farabi, Ahmad al-Fergani, Ibn Sina known as Avicenna in Europe, religious scholar Imam Al-Bukhari, Mirzo ulug beg who is actually famous as first astronomer and many more. Despite the flourishing science in these lands, they were eventually destroyed, and scientific works were either destroyed or stolen by the Communist Party and sold to different parts of Europe. This horrible event marked the end of their great periods. So, I think these people deserve to be great again. To conclude, yes I love travelling and learning about history, too.
