@@YamahaSynthsOfficial I have a couple of questions though. Always when I learn new pattern sequencers, I am a bit confused about when and where data changes are saved. I have used Roland TR-8S, Elektron Digitone and Analog Four Mk2 and it seems like all pattern sequencers handle data somewhat different. So my questions are: What exactly is saved when I click "Store pattern and performance settings"? It is unclear to me if all changes to the performance are saved or just some of it. And are all changes to both the performance and pattern saved when I save the performance? (it seems like this is the case) And the last question: Are some of the changes to the pattern autosaved? (I have done a couple of changes to the pattern without saving anything. But when I switch the power off and on, the changes are still there.)
Excellent video! The pattern sequencer is the best hardware pattern sequencer I have ever used. Even though I use CUBASE, I also use the pattern sequencer when I create new performances. I get inspired when creating performances. The pattern sequencer serves me well when capturing that inspiration. Of course one could create whole songs with it.
Can i record a pattern chain in real time (i.e. press record, and then play each scene say 1 3 8 8 5 6 etc), like on the motifs, which then creates a pattern chain automatically for you, or do i have to manually line them up on the pattern chain page?
I love the after care Blake but there’s too much advanced talk, could you do a sequencer video in layman’s terms we’re you teach us newbie’s who no nothing about music much appreciate all your effort in making these videos
@19:20-21:21 How are you able to record on those parts/tracks with keyboard control (Kbd Ctrl) disabled on those parts/tracks? For example with track 2 selected what you are playing is being recorded in track 2 even though Kbd Ctrl is not highlighted for track 2 but is highlighted for track 1. That would seem to imply that what you're playing should be recorded to track 1 not track 2. I assume this is a bug and/or the programmers haven't quite worked out what it means to select a track versus enable Kbd Ctrl for track.
Great and clarifying video! 👍

The guitar in the intro sounds great, the whole piece is certainly well played!
This is what I love about Yamaha the updates and support Thank you Blake!!!
These demonstrations are very welcome. Thank you!
Thanks Blake, I am now beginning to understand my MODX a lot more.
Excellent video!

Thanks again really appreciate these videos
Into piece reminds me of Pat Mehteney's The Way Up album
Awesome update!! Only thing left is to have it play Motif sequences made on the Motif!
Jazz Club. Nice.
Sequencing on Montage/MODX seems to be improving/evolving. How does it compare with sequencing on new Fantom?
still very complicated...and im sure they could make it much easier and simpler...
Very wonderful!!!🎼🎹🎶💙💐
Can I import multiple midi files? and ad them each to a pattern? within on performance

The new lights were a little bit TOO bright - the camera was clipping on his face at the end!

@Synphonix...note each time he recorded a part, that is what is highlighted. I think the keyboard control fxn is for DAW triggering.

Wow, this dude has ADD Im sure, he can't focus on a subject for more than 10-seconds before he off on another tangent. Very frustrating to follow.
