I'm so glad i found your channel! The ideia of allowing beginners to dance famous variations using steps that we already know is just amazing Being a beginner and an adult in ballet, i really appreciate your work and hope you do more of this videos Your explanation is clear and simple, yet still making it beautiful, thank you so much for that! I would love to see your take on the Esmeralda variation Kisses from Brazil
I quit 11 years ago when I was 15… my pointe shoes still fit me and I pulled them out today and did some exercises. That was rough. My toes didn’t want to angle the way they used to. I’m gonna try dancing without pointe. I don’t know what I was thinking
As a slightly more advanced dancer, I might try this routine adapted a little bit on pointe! I'd love to see some beginner/intermediate pointe variations. Some routines as is are way too much for me but I wouldn't consider myself a beginner either so it's hard to find things to work on for routines.
Thank you for posting this! I have never taken a dance class and decided that I wanted to teach myself a ballet dance through November and December as a personal exercise goal. I bought my first pair of Bloch ballet flats. There were a lot of warm up, stretching and barre videos posted by you and others that I did before and after I practiced the sugar plum fairy dance. It was hard putting together the feet, arms and head, but I eventually memorized the dance and performed it in front of my Christmas tree for my family. I've always loved the nutcracker. Thank you for making it possible for me to dance to one of the songs for myself. It has really helped me to have something to look forward to. I can feel your love and passion for ballet for anyone willing to work hard. Thank you for your hard work and encouragement.
This video turned my Christmas from super crappy to amazing because I learned this part from you (not great, but working on it) and it’s absolutely my favorite song and I love what you did with this. Thank you so so much! You are appreciated!!!! I adore your work!
ballerinas are truly on another level… tried doing this in my room on some standard tippy toes. literally broke a sweat. such a beautiful art form and sport. my respect to those who practice and hone their craft!!
I've just found your channel and I'm loving these videos, I don't do ballet anymore but I do contemporary and commercial and even though I don't know the names to the moves I find it just the right level and I've nearly learnt the dance!!!
Love love love! I teach beginning ballet for older girls and we did this routine for our Christmas recital! I usually do my own choreography but being pregnant it's getting very difficult. I think we are going to do your dance of the flutes for the spring! You're a life saver and the routines are great!
I'm going onto level free ballet and I'm scared for my exam until I found this dance and nailed it! I have gotten so much better in one day because of you! thanks so much!
Thank you so much for this video! Now that my province is back in lockdown, I've been trying to find new ways to entertain myself. I used to love ballet when I was younger, but sadly I fell out of love with it. I tried on some of my old tutus recently and something sparked! I have my old leotard and tights on in my living room, doing the best I can :) thank you!
I am a ballerina and i was taught to put your device facing a mirror with the video playing, then you can look in the mirror and the variation is the right way around. xx I hope that makes sense, it’s much easier. xx 💋
Wow! Love you! You are so gracefull, its a pleasure watching you dance. Thank you so much for your videos and your beautifull explenations. You are making it clear and much easier to understand. THANK YOU💖💖
I am beyond grateful for finding this channel! As a substitute teacher in ballet I have no clue what I'm doing - now we can finally have a good choreography. Thank you so much! x
Absolutely love it. I love ballet, have been dancing character dances but have 5 years of ballet training and teaching. I am looking forward more of simple ballet choreography for simple dances.
Natalie, I've recently turned 15 and only a few months ago found out about ballet. I want to begin and hopefully be professional in the future, but there are no classes in my area for people of my age and they are too expensive either way. So far, I have been working on flexibility. Any tips for my situation would be appreciated, thank you :) (I do dance in school, but we have to create our own dances instead of being taught, which is why I like your easier choreography. Unfortunately I am not able to balance well and space is an issue.)
I'm glad you've found your love for dance and ballet. It will be difficult to train properly in ballet without having a teacher. You can dance on your own or with your friends for fun but it you really want to train in ballet you will need to find a way to go to regular ballet classes. For now it's great to work on your flexibility and you can practice your balancing too! :)
Thank you for this. I started pointe a year ago so I'm not yet comfortable with the triple pirrouttes and some of the other harder steps so it's nice to have something easier to less rn.
i love the way you do it in the mirror and then face on. in my studio my TV and lap top face the front mirrors so when I look in the mirrors I am going the same direction as you! the audio is hard to follow at times but you are really good. you helped me solve my en dedan pirouette issue too!
Thank you for making this new version!! I saw your older video a couple of years ago, but then it went away for awhile. I teach teenage beginners in a public High School in Los Angeles and we are always looking for new material. THANK YOU!!! If it is ok with you I would like my students to learn this variation as a study piece this December, with hopes of using it in our biennial Nutcracker production next year.
I wanted to learn a beginner ballet variation that I could "fail" at/be bad at for an acting class. Too bad I got good at this! Thanks for the great video!!
Love this I did ballet from age 5-10 so we actually did some/most of this stuff I think I might want to start doing some basic ballet because I got flat and pointe shoes at a garage sale that fit just because they are pretty so yeah
As a beginner I am super duper uncomfortable with the idea of learning pointe so I feel very excited to see I can still keep learning different dances without pointe
I have been looking for easy beginner variations for so long and I just stumbled across your channel! Yay! Forgive me if I missed it somewhere, but were you ever in a company? ☺️
Very good, pretty.. :) I did ballet from age 5 -12, then I moved on to modern dance-and intuitive dance. I went and put on my ballet shoes :D My house is perfect for dancing, just need to fix my speakers.. In my bedroom I have huge mirros so I can practice there too, also I have a sushi bench as a bar for streching.. it was great, also you teach for beginners so that is great, it`s like ride a bike, it`s in me, just need to get back to it.
Thx this helps me a lot for a important project I'm kinda bad at dancing so this helps me a lot thanks you for posting this video again this helps a LOT my little cousin her name is well I can't say but she loves to dance and this inspired her to keep going your so nice and your dancing is beautiful!!!!!! Thank u!!!!
Hi Natalie Danza! I loved your video! I`m an adult beginner on ballet and I will try your choreography! I wonder if you'd let me subtitle your video in Portuguese? (I'm brasilian by the way) so more Brazilians can learn this choreography (if yes, you need to authorize the add caption function).
Hello Natalia ! I have a little question about pointe. I am 13, I am taking modern dance classes since a few months, I was a self-taught before (for a few months too), at home I do a lot of pliés etc, do a little bit of actual dance (ballet), working on pirouettes (and now that I discovered your videos I am gonna try them). Anyway, I do all of that, and I know I will never take actual ballet classes because I'm too old, and all the dance schools around me don't have a "teen beginner" level. So what about getting on pointe ? I'd love to do that but i've heard only the teacher can decide if you're able to get on pointe, and I don't have any teacher so... I really don't know what to do, I don't wanna hurt myself but also trying pointe shoes is my dream ! Can you give me some advice ? (also sorry for my english I'm french)
Hi Manon, I know that pointe seems really beautiful and exciting but it's so so important to go to ballet classes with a good teacher before you start pointe. You need to build up your technique and strength before you try pointe, it's very important to prevent injury and also because you will enjoy pointe much more if you are able to feel control when you are up because you have already practised a lot in soft shoes. Maybe ask in the ballet schools if you can join the class even if you are older. As an adult I have even taken class with 13 year olds, it doesn't matter about the age of the other students. The important thing is that you can learn from a good teacher. Best of luck! :)
I'm kinda in the midst of my teen years I've never danced in my life but ballet is so stunning and I've always had a passion for it do you think I could try this on my own as I know having a teacher improves technique I really want to go into classes know atleast a beginner variation of a dance, I know all of my postions and so forth.
I would suggest going to lessons with a teacher first but it's possible to learn some of the basic movements online. I would suggest my ballet barre basics and ballet centre basics playlists so you can really understand the technique of the basic movements before learning a full variation :)
Hi! I absolutely love this video but I can't seem to download it. It's such a pity since I really wanted to try it out. Anyway, you're awesome and whoever is reading this, hope you have a wonderful day!!! 😊😊😊
Hi Alice, you need to watch this video online. Hopefully you can find somewhere to learn it with wifi so you can watch it as many times as you need to. Enjoy! :)

Yes, I'm definitely thinking about this for the near future! :)

I mean in my opinion this dance would be beginner friendly on pointe although it may be a bit of a challenge
