- A bill introduced to the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives seeks to establish a process for a comprehensive review of the bilateral relationship between the United States and South Africa. Co-sponsored by Republican Representatives John James and Democratic Representative Jared Moskowitz, the proposed legislation claims the ANC-led Government's foreign policy actions are inconsistent with its publicly stated policy of nonalignment - citing relations with Hamas, its pursuit of closer ties with the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation. These relationships are among the key reasons the authors of the legislation argue that Pretoria's international relations undermine the national security and foreign policy interests of the United States.

Last I checked South Africa is a sovereign country, not a colony of the US or the West as a whole. The US and the rest of the colonial imperial West have always done what they feel is on their best interests regardless of what anyone thinks. What makes them think they have the right to dictate what we Africans do? Are we their pets or their adopted children or something? Somebody got to really tell them that they must stop with the disrespect.
It was to be expected that they would come after South Africa with everything they can think of being as evil as they are. But that must not deter South Africa or us Africans as a whole from confronting this existential threat.

These members of congress are not dictating anything. They are simply stating their position in advance of an anticipated policy change towards South Africa. As a sovereign country, the US is free to review its relationship with South Africa. As a sovereign country they have the right to terminate, or partly terminate, ties and partnerships of any nature with any country or government they feel are not aligned with their own position. Just as South Africa is free to develop it own foreign policies, the US is also free to formulate its foreign policies.
This is by far the biggest mistake that the ANC ever made...It's actually beyond stupidity!

What are talking you about? The Apartheid government was sanctioned to death by the US. South Africa was also banned from international sports. What the US is doing to Russia now in terms of sanctions for attacking Ukraine is pretty much the same they did against the Apartheid government.
