the descriptions and reviews I've seen on these are somewhat confusing. Is the external shell waterproof or just the insert?
The external shell is waterproof. The inner 5-finger gloves included are not waterproof. These are great gloves, really warm and dexterous.
seems like OR made these as an alternative to the military version which is the mutant mitt, which I say is the worlds warmest mitt
Not familiar with the mutant mitt, but the OR alti mitt may give it a run for its money when it comes to warmth
@@mr.persnicketyreviews4655 you will have to look into the mutants, they are most impressive, the liner has double insulating layers, the outer shell is incredible, check them out you may never want to go back
