Women Talking is a masterpiece. All of the films Polley has directed are wonderful. Including the beautiful documentary about her family.
We need more Sarah Pollys in the this world and the movie industry. Thanks!
I like how Sarah Polley has reinvented herself to become a successful writer and director.
She has grown up so sweetly, and taking herself to great heights, with her talents of directing and writing.
A long way from her role as Ramona.
Oh yes...she works very hard.But she isn`t extreme.Hard working woman,fascinating.
The subject matter and premise of this book is fascinating.
Love Sarah Polley and her work. But this interview was weirdly cut together, not giving her enough time on camera. Would’ve loved to hear more about the film.
Anthony Mason - great interview . . . . On RUclips I see so many RUclips Creators and Podcasters do interviews, and frankly, they suck -- Anthony Mason shows you how a professional journalist does it. Thank You.
I'm so glad Sarah Polley has been moving on up. She was great in Dawn of the Dead.
I had read parts of the book. I knew Frances McDormand would be in the movie. I had read that the movie was nominated for awards this season.
But in an odd way not until seeing this segment, did I put a few pieces together.
When I was younger my cousins and I would participate in a few rather big-budget commercials as one branch of the family owned an advertising agency.
It was fun. We did it on school breaks. But I always wondered how young was too young to be in movies.
I've seen Ao Baron Munchausen a few times many years ago and always wondered what became of the little girl.
How crazy would have film set with director Terry Gilliam and in a small role, Robin Williams, be? I knew Uma Thurman was Botticelli's Venus but what of the little girl??
To hear that it was not a positive experience... To hear that after 12 years in the industry she was sexually assaulted perhaps not related. All the pieces seem to fit together and I definitely will see this movie!
*Bravo ladies!*
Definitely will be reading Sarah's memoir
Pretty solid Frances McDormand impression.
Always appreciated her status in Sci-fi and horror. Let's not forget, her character kickstarted the doomed items list by being in the pilot episode of FRIDAY THE 13TH, THE SERIES.
Can we also congratulate her for playing Elsa alongside Adrian Brody in SPLICE? She definitely needs to direct some Sci-fi films!
Watch her in a little-known film called Guinevere.
I really enjoyed that film
Sorry, she should win best director. No disrespect but that film was brilliant on every level. It is the most important movie nominated
Go!
"Is forgiveness that is forced upon us true forgiveness?". No.
I used to watch road to avonlea on Disney channel. She's also exquisite in the film my life without me with Debbie Harry and Scott speedman
I used to her on Avonlea and Ramona and Babar and she was good in the movie Go
She is so beautiful 😍
good on her for turning down almost famous.

No
من واقعاً یکی از طرفداران سرسخت ایشون هستم آرزوم هست یک روز ایشون رو از نزدیک ببینم
Her version of Avonlea was crap. The original will always be the best.
Loved Avonlea.
And Women Talking should be screamed from the rafters.
Kind of burnt out on victimized women movies but Polley very good director, the Julie Christie Alzheimer movie. Good luck!
This is far from a “victimized women movie”.
0:01 Why are you lying? It's definitely not one of the most talked about movies of the year. Not even close.
Who would ever want to hear, much less see Women Talking?
the movie is literally woman talking. 😂no fun no thrill no action. woman talking about their emotion n problem until the end of the movie. 🤣 you need men to be the problem solver n planning.
What a pile of krap!
You can't spell, troll.
Yawn
Male-bashing nonsense. This movie should not be supported.
Okay, Karen. We'll follow your lead. 🙄
It's based on a true story of men raping and abusing women in a Mennonite religious sect, so no it's not male-bashing nonsense. It's reality.
@@looney1023 It's loosely based on a true story, but it's actually fictional. I'd be interested in the real story, but this is just a chance for the film to attack all men and paint them all as rapists or potential rapists. Have you seen the movie?
@@angelthman1659 yes ive seen the movie and its not just all male bashing at all. Its a great film clearly its hit the wrong nerve with you i think you need to calm down.
Have you seen this film? This is far from a “man bashing” film. These women were sexually assaulted and still have an extraordinary amount of faith and compassion.
